"Effortless Multilingual Transcription with Custom Glossaries"

4.5/5

What do you like best about HappyScribe?

I appreciate how HappyScribe lets me transcribe a recording within minutes and translate the content into several languages. The interactive interface is enjoyable, and the built-in editor is incredibly useful since the audio and text stay aligned with minimal need for manual corrections. The option to build custom glossaries for technical terms and acronyms specific to each account has significantly reduced transcription errors. I also love that setting it up required no assistance from our IT team, which was pleasantly surprising. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about HappyScribe?

My one reservation concerns collaboration. A more flexible arrangement for teams whose internal communication budgets are modest would go a long way, letting more colleagues work alongside me without the cost mounting. It is a small gap in an otherwise polished tool. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is HappyScribe solving and how is that benefiting you?

I use HappyScribe to quickly and accurately transcribe recordings into multiple languages. It eliminates the manual task of transcription, ensuring precise content with custom glossaries. The interactive interface and self-syncing editor streamline the editing process, letting me efficiently create client-ready content. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Efficient Transcription with Customizable Features"

4.5/5

What do you like best about HappyScribe?

I like the precision with accents and the editor web interface, which makes working quickly a real pleasure. I appreciate the custom dictionary feature, which ensures my names or brands are not messed up. I find it very useful that HappyScribe handles multilingual context well, even with a bit of background noise or interference. The setup is very easy since everything is cloud-based, without the need for installing heavy software on my computer. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about HappyScribe?

I had some trouble with the per-minute billing model, it got a bit complicated and could be improved. I'd also like the native video editing features to be more robust, specifically, that when I delete a phrase from the text transcript, the snippet is automatically removed from the timeline. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is HappyScribe solving and how is that benefiting you?

I find HappyScribe eliminates transcription issues, allowing me to focus on storytelling. I appreciate its precision with accents, fast editor interface, and custom dictionary for brand name preservation. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Happy Scribe: Easy-to-Use Transcripts and Captions at an Affordable Price"

4/5

What do you like best about HappyScribe?

We love the functions of Happy Scribe, it has met our transcribing needs to the fullest extent. The actually tools to create a transcript are easy to use, and once completed, immediately can be made into captions for a video, meeting our exact needs. The UI of it has always been easy to use, which feels hard to come by these days with tools like this. I find the cost to be quite affordable, even for us as a nonprofit. The notetaker feature (which is new) has been such an added value. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about HappyScribe?

I think some more clarity on the AI tool and our best use of it. The messaging around using it feels a little pushy, and I'm not sold yet on why I need to use it (I have used it a few times, honestly as a help function instead of contact customer service). Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is HappyScribe solving and how is that benefiting you?

HappyScribe's transcribing tools allow us to make our virtual training sessions as accessible as possible. Being able to provide accurate transcripts post session allows us to reach folks with different needs, and just expands the reach of our sessions anyway. Accurate video captions definitely help increase the watch time of our training recordings. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Thanks for this, and it's great to hear HappyScribe is helping make your virtual training as accessible as possible. That's one of the uses we care most about. Good to know the captions are lifting watch time, the UI stays out of your way, the price works for a nonprofit, and the new notetaker is already earning its place.

Your point on the AI is fair. If the messaging around it feels pushy, that's on us, and I'll pass it along. On getting more value from it, I'd rather not guess at what's useful for you: if you email support@happyscribe.com with a bit about how your team works and where you'd want a hand, we can talk through whether the AI actually fits those spots or not.

Thanks for taking the time to write this up.

"Flexible, Easy-to-Use Transcription with Fast ROI"

4.5/5

What do you like best about HappyScribe?

I find the team behind HappyScribe to be really flexible when it comes to adding tools and features that are important, especially for corporate companies like ours.

The GUI is extremely easy to use, without compromising any of the key features. Transcriptions are very quick, even for meetings that last a few hours and include many participants.

What I also like is that I don’t need any other AI to work with the text. The internal AI is more than sufficient, and I can type in my mother tongue.

The price is very reasonable, and literally one or two meetings are enough to achieve ROI for that month. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about HappyScribe?

I’d love to see more ways to structure my recordings. In the past I asked for MCP, and it was added very quickly. What I’m still missing in the tool (we’re working on it using MCP) is a way to treat all that knowledge as a primary knowledge base—something that can be shared across the company. We might need to investigate more about how to blend HappyScribe along with the rest of our tools. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is HappyScribe solving and how is that benefiting you?

The primary problem this solves is capturing all the information from our meetings without having to pause and write things down. That way, the conversation flows naturally, and the quality of the dialogue improves without us losing any details.

A secondary problem it addresses—though it will likely become even more important in the future—is keeping all information about our clients in one place, and having a chatbot that can hold a conversation and suggest the next steps for our cooperation. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Thanks for this, it means a lot coming from a corporate team that puts the tool through its paces. Quick transcripts for long multi-participant meetings, a GUI that stays simple, working in your mother tongue, and reaching ROI in a meeting or two is exactly the bar we set for ourselves, so it's great to hear we're hitting it for you.

The knowledge-base direction is a good one, and where we see a lot of the value heading too: your meeting knowledge as a single, shareable source your whole company can draw on, with an assistant that can suggest next steps. It's early for us there, but you're clearly thinking about it the way we are. Since you asked for MCP and we shipped it fast, let's keep that going. Email support@happyscribe.com or your usual contact with how you'd want the shared knowledge base to work, and we'll get your input in front of the product team directly.

Thanks for pushing us, and for capturing those meetings without missing a detail.

"Our international clients love HappyScribe's multilingual support"

4.5/5

What do you like best about HappyScribe?

Multiple speakers' speech are no problem at all because HappyScribe's automatic transcription is both quick and remarkably accurate. Direct editing of transcripts in the platform saves me hours, no more switching from tool to tool. Seamless export in various formats (SRT, VTT, etc.) and easy navigation of long recordings via the timestamping feature. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about HappyScribe?

Sometimes it has difficulty with strong accents/dubbing/music, but these have to be done by hand. The free tier’s limits are tight, so you’ll need to upgrade for regular use. Moreover, some of the features available on the desktop version are not accessible in the mobile app, making it cumbersome. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is HappyScribe solving and how is that benefiting you?

Before I used to be spending a ton of time typing out interviews. I'm now getting a near-perfect draft in minutes whereas before I was spending hours doing that. It's also a major accessibility boon, as it's incredibly easy to add captions to videos. The productivity gain from pre to post is tremendous. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Thanks for this. Clean multi-speaker transcripts, editing right in the platform instead of hopping between tools, and quick navigation by timestamp is exactly the workflow we want to give you, so it's great to hear it's turned hours of typing into a near-perfect draft in minutes. The captioning-for-accessibility point means a lot to us too.

Your dislikes are fair. Strong accents, dubbing, and background music are the hardest cases for any automatic transcription, so some manual cleanup there is expected for now. On the mobile app, that's actually by design for the moment: we're keeping it focused on recording and capturing meetings and making that side excellent, rather than mirroring every desktop feature. The heavier editing and export work is still best on the web version for now.

Thanks for taking the time to write this up, and enjoy getting your evenings back.

"Impressive Auto Meeting Notes and Transcripts with Flexible AI + Human Options"

5/5

What do you like best about HappyScribe?

Honestly i am impressed with how well the automatic meeting notetaker worked. It automatically joined my zoom meeting and provided an auto-transcript afterwards; i did not have to manually start recording. The free plan allows for auto-transcription of recordings up to 45 minutes long (longer than i expected for a free service). Additionally happyscribe.com has both ai and human transcription services available on their platform. If something gets mangled beyond recognition by their ai, you simply need to pay to have a human correct it. This feature is much more important than i originally thought. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about HappyScribe?

The cost structure is based on "per-minute" for all uses over the limits included in each free/happy plan. With longer files, this costs add up quickly... I was completely unaware of this one month when i received my bill and it far exceeded my monthly budget. The mobile phone application is still somewhat limited compared to the full-featured web-based version. I cannot style subtitles on the mobile app at present. While generally working fine, occasionally the ai will mis-hear terms/jargon-heavy speech and require manual correction (i.e., names & terminology). Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is HappyScribe solving and how is that benefiting you?

I'm using it to avoid having to spend time hand-writing down meetings and interview notes. Previously this was the bulk of my evenings spent listening to the same 20 seconds of audio repeatedly to try to accurately write down everything spoken during those recordings. Happyscribe makes it possible for me to either upload an existing file or allow it to automatically join calls and receive the transcribed text within several minutes. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Thanks for the detailed write-up, and glad the automatic notetaker impressed you. Having it join your Zoom and hand back a transcript without you lifting a finger, with a human to fall back on when something gets mangled, is exactly the experience we're after.

On the surprise bill, that's on us to make clearer, and I'd like to help you avoid it happening again. Quick question: are you on a custom plan with us or a self-serve one? Either way, email support@happyscribe.com, mention this review and my name, and we'll look at your setup in detail and find the right fit.

On mobile, that's by design for now: we're keeping it focused on recording and capturing meetings, so subtitle styling still lives on the web version. And for jargon and names, the Glossary feature is your best lever for cutting down manual corrections.

Thanks for taking the time to write this up.

"Efficient Transcription with Flexible Formats, Needs Faster Processing"

4.5/5

What do you like best about HappyScribe?

I find HappyScribe excellent for automatically transcribing webinars, as it allows me to create text records and feed our knowledge base. It's beneficial because it replaces hours of human transcription with an automated version that speeds up delivery times. I like the flexible export formats that support multiple versions, like Word, TXT, SRT, which work well with subsequent tools. I also appreciate the collaborative editor with timestamps and subtitle export. From an IT perspective, it's crucial because it reduces the cycle between automatic generation and final publication. Setting up scripts for bulk uploads from cloud storage was quick and easy. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about HappyScribe?

I think it needs lower latency because, under large and massive workload processing, the time is pretty slow. It would be very useful to have something like a priority mode or a dedicated queue. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Thank you, this is great to hear, especially from the IT side. Automated webinar transcription feeding your knowledge base, flexible exports into Word, TXT and SRT that play nicely with your downstream tools, and quick bulk-upload scripts from cloud storage are exactly the things we want to get right for a technical workflow.

On latency under heavy load: fair point, and an honest one. We don't currently offer a priority mode or dedicated queue, so large batches can slow down at peak. I've logged the request, since it's a sensible ask for anyone processing at volume.

Really glad it's cutting hours of manual transcription and shortening your generate-to-publish cycle.

"Customizable, Claude-Connected, Yet Pricey Note-Taking Solution"

4.5/5

What do you like best about HappyScribe?

I like that HappyScribe can be completely personalized, making it feel like our enterprise's own note taker. It's user-friendly and connected with Anthropic, which aligns with our company's needs. The personalizability helps build client trust by overcoming initial hesitations, especially when we promote it as our enterprise's notetaker. I'm also happy with how the different workspaces are set up within one account, allowing for separate branding while still being able to merge them during integration. The sharing of meeting notes and other documents among users is super nice, too. I greatly appreciated the fully hands-on sales team who were very responsive to our requests, making for a great collaboration. The summaries it provides are remarkable, especially now that they can be personalized. Lastly, the initial setup of HappyScribe was seamless and came with a very good, understandable demo. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about HappyScribe?

I mean, I think, first of all, maybe the pricing is somewhat on the higher end. Although, if I compare it to the market, it's not that insane in terms of pricing. It's just that a lot of enterprises that I'm talking with as well, because I do market studies for many enterprises, we're always a bit shocked about the price ranges for these types of notetakers. Definitely, as for AI subscriptions, the (tier 1) prices are more or less the same, but AI has a lot more applicability and usage than I would say an AI notetaker. Other than that, sometimes the summaries are really great and now that they are personalizable, that's awesome. But then if you look into this grand transcript itself, it's sometimes a bit wonky. Not that it's always super wrong, but sometimes you wonder how they made this type of summary with the transcript that they made. Another thing that I would be careful of in the future is Microsoft Record, as this an upcoming product, is embedded in CoPilot and as such a cheaper but much broader competitor. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is HappyScribe solving and how is that benefiting you?

HappyScribe automates note-taking during long client meetings, allowing me to be fully present. It's personalized, enhancing client trust, and has a seamless integration with tools like Microsoft Teams, aiding collaboration and reducing manual tasks. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Thanks for such a detailed write-up. Hearing that the customization makes HappyScribe feel like your own enterprise notetaker, and that it helps ease that first bit of client hesitation, is exactly what we hoped teams would do with it. Good to know the separate-branding workspaces, the sharing, and the setup all fit how you work.

On the transcript, that's fair. A summary is only as good as the transcript underneath it, so if you hit meetings where it reads off, send them to support@happyscribe.com. Real examples are what help us tune accuracy for your accounts.

On pricing, we hear you, and you clearly know the market well. We'd rather earn the price by making the summaries and customization genuinely useful than compete on being the cheapest.

Thanks again, and enjoy staying present in those meetings.

"Effortlessly Transcribe and Summarize Long Calls"

4.5/5

What do you like best about HappyScribe?

I use HappyScribe for transcribing long calls and other lengthy applications, and I appreciate its ease of use. I like that even the free package is phenomenal, and the ability to produce summaries that make the point is very helpful. These features save me a lot of time and help me remember important facts from meetings. The initial setup was very easy, which I found convenient. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about HappyScribe?

It's easy to forget that HappyScribe is on; there should probably be more prompting when something has run too long. I've ended up with a four-hour audio file because I didn't click off. The ability to toggle between on and off can be troublesome during multi-hour sessions, although it's just fine for anything under an hour. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Precision and Accuracy in Note-Taking with HappyScribe"

5/5

What do you like best about HappyScribe?

I really like the precision and accuracy of HappyScribe's note-taking, especially in the Turkish language, where it works perfectly. I'm a freelance consultant and I've been using HappyScribe not only for my own company but also for all my clients. I've recommended it to other companies I've worked with, and they're using HappyScribe too. It helps us by providing meeting notes and action items, which we then use to create KPIs, targets, and follow-up items. The initial setup was just perfect; it only took a couple of minutes with a single sign-on to my Microsoft account, and it automatically connected with my calendar and agenda. What do you dislike about HappyScribe?

The calendar synchronization sometimes is not working properly. I have already opened the ticket for this, but generally, it works very smoothly. I am also using for face to face meetings to record and have meeting minutes but my credits has over after couple of meetings. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is HappyScribe solving and how is that benefiting you?

I use HappyScribe for online meetings to take precise and accurate notes, supporting Turkish perfectly. It helps collect meeting notes and action items, creating KPIs and follow-ups. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Thank you, this is great to hear, and thanks for recommending us to your clients, that means a lot coming from a consultant whose name is on the line with them. Turkish working precisely, plus the action items feeding into your KPIs and follow-ups, is exactly the workflow we want to support, and I'm glad the Microsoft SSO and calendar setup was quick.

Two things you raised. On the calendar sync: thanks for opening a ticket, that's the right move and the team will get to the bottom of it, that behavior isn't what you should be seeing.

On credits running out after a couple of in-person meetings: for in-person recording, try our mobile app. Right now it doesn't have the same credit restrictions, so it's likely your best option for capturing those meetings without hitting a wall.

Really glad HappyScribe is helping you and your clients turn meetings into KPIs and follow-ups.
