Organization and management of our properties' key system. It allows all keys to be where they are supposed to be at any given time. If they are not, it is so simple to look up and find who checked out keys with a date and time stamp. What do you dislike about HandyTrac? I have found that switching out key tags or replacing key tags is not user friendly. Maybe the newer versions of the system have made this easier, however, with our current model I would like to be able to switch key tag numbers/unit numbers via the online system instead of directly on the machine. As the property manager, it takes away the headache of having the key box in my office under my control of having to allow access and keep track by hand of who has check out specific keys, etc. It streamlined a process that was once very time consuming. What I like best about HandyTrac is how easy it is to track work orders and stay organized in real time. It gives clear visibility into what’s open, in progress, or completed, which helps keep the maintenance team accountable and responsive. I also appreciate the reporting and history—it makes it much easier to follow up on recurring issues, document work completed, and communicate accurately with residents and ownership. What I dislike about HandyTrac is that it can feel outdated and not very intuitive, especially compared to newer systems. Some tasks take more steps than necessary, and it isn’t always user-friendly for quick updates in the field.
