" 1.5/5 What do you like best about Handshake for Employers? Only one thing I like about the software and that is that it did bring in a mega load of applications. What I don't like about Handshake is that it happens to be very confusing to use from the point of view of the job poster. I found that it had way too many options for this and that. Our problem was that we needed to hire a bunch of student workers. It worked well but overall it was a painful experience because it is a convoluted piece of software. I love that you can enter the job posting one time and assign as many schools as you like to receive the posting. My previous intern introduced me to Handshake, and it's been a great tool. I have two, new interns this summer thanks to the software, and already have another potential intern for 2019. I love that once I've set up my profile and been accepted by universities, the hard part is done. It's just a matter of keeping it up to date, and using a future deadline application I'm comfortable with. But, so far, I've had sufficient applications, and most of them have been a good fit for my business. I've already recommended Handshake to several peers. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com. What do you dislike about Handshake for Employers? It's not the most intuitive system. I did have to use the help feature a couple of times to find the things I was looking for, like how to edit the description. But that's really my only complaint with the software. Recommendations to others considering Handshake for Employers: Be very clear in your internship description to draw the most qualified interns who will be the best fit. I also linked to a description on my website so they could poke around to learn more about me rather than just what they saw on Handshake. I'm not in the position to hire employees at this early stage in my business, but I knew I could teach interns valuable lessons and skills that would help prepare them for life beyond college.
