Handl is billing and project-finance software for digital agencies, studios and freelancers that bill on milestones, hours and retainers, often for different clients in the same month. Handl sits between the tools a team already uses. It reads tickets and progress from PM tools (Jira, Linear, Asana, Monday.com, ClickUp) and hours from time trackers (Toggl, Harvest, Clockify, Hubstaff). Each project has a billing plan: a milestone invoice drafts when the milestone completes, hourly work is billed at each person's rate at the end of the period, and retainers bill each cycle with any overage added. Invoices are drafted with the work detail attached and are only sent when the user sends them; recurring hourly and retainer invoices can be set to send automatically. Sent invoices push to Xero or QuickBooks, and payments sync back from Xero. Clients review and pay through a client portal without creating an account, by card through the agency's own Stripe account or by bank transfer. Handl never holds funds. Payment reminders run before and after the due date and pause when the client replies. The same data drives reporting: margin per project and client, team utilisation, alerts when a project reaches 80% of its budget, and a cash-flow forecast built from sent invoices, upcoming billing and the sales pipeline. Quotes with e-signature turn into projects when signed. Plans start at $29 per month (Solo), with Team at $99 (up to 3 users) and Agency at $199 (unlimited users).
