- The UI for the feedback section where I take notes has gotten worse over time (i.e. the textbox is no longer resizable)

HackerRank has a great library of coding challenges that we can choose from which helps alleviate some of the upfront costs. I'm also impressed by some of the cheating detection features. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about HackerRank Developer Skills Platform?

One wishlist feature I have is automatic follow ups - I don't think HackerRank sends reminders if a candidate doesn't take the coding challenge and it's something I have to do manually. What do you like best about HackerRank Developer Skills Platform?

I love the ability to customize tests for all of the tech roles that i hire for. Recently we were having trouble pushing qualified AI/ML engineers through our pipeline. By creating an assessment with the skills question bank, we were able to help weed out non technical candidates earlier in the process. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about HackerRank Developer Skills Platform?

There is not much to note here. One thing I have noticed is that when I am working with a stakeholder to create a test there isnt a real easy way to give him/her access to the platform so they can look through all the questions available. The only way to do so is for me to share my screen and do it for them while they tell me what to click, or for them to take control of my screen.

I realize you make money off of seats that have access to the platform. Im wondering if there is way for users of the platform to grant Hiring Managers a limit timed access to the platform for them to create a test much easier. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

It has been instrumental in reducing the work load on engineers in the hiring process. We can effectively screen applicants for the right skills and flag any plagiarism, code similar to other users etc.

The integrations are good e.g. green house / ashby.

What do you like best about HackerRank Developer Skills Platform?

Clean and easy to use interface. Has good basic IDE features for the candidates taking the test. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about HackerRank Developer Skills Platform?

No way to close the Input/Output tab by default on opening of code pair test. Always have to close that tab on the right for my dummy test.

The example "at home" tests available for multiple languages are too hard for senior qa automation role. Hence we are stuck with using only 2 tests.

Also lately lot of candidates passing the at home tests are very weak and fail to pass the code pair test. Not sure how can hackerrank help in ensuring candidates that clear at home tests are genuine or not. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
