"User-Friendly Payroll, Benefits, and HR Made Simple with Gusto"
4/5
What do you like best about Gusto?

What I like best about Gusto is its intuitive UI/UX and how easy it is to navigate, even for users who may not have extensive HR or payroll experience. The platform's integrations with other business tools create a seamless workflow, while its strong performance helps businesses save time and reduce administrative headaches. I also appreciate Gusto's focus on support and onboarding, as well as its use of AI and automation to simplify payroll, benefits, and HR tasks, creating a strong return on investment for growing businesses. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Gusto?

If I had to identify an area for improvement, it would be expanding some of the advanced customization and reporting capabilities for larger organizations with more complex needs. While Gusto's simplicity is one of its greatest strengths, additional flexibility in integrations, AI-driven insights, and advanced analytics could provide even more value. That said, I believe Gusto does an excellent job balancing ease of use, performance, pricing, and customer support for the majority of businesses it serves. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Gusto is helping Employees at all levels put their money to work for them ."
5/5
What do you like best about Gusto?

I like that it's not just a paycheck service. I love playing with all the different features like setting up a budget and having my pay go into different types of 401k/savings accounts. I have always struggled to manage and save my money even though I make a very good amount. Gusto is helping me become financially responsible. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Gusto?

I don't like that when I get advances I still have to pay a fee to have the money immediately deposited even though it is going to the same company. It could maybe be more seamless integrating with my accounts without having to pay fees. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Gusto Makes Payroll and Onboarding Effortless"
5/5
What do you like best about Gusto?

I've used Gusto at 2 companies now and I absolutely love it. It is incredibly helpful how integrated everything is, how clean and user friendly the user interface is, and I easily can access anything I'm looking for. I rarely need to reach out to HR for help. The onboarding is incredibly easy and self explanatory. The suggested FAQs and features are also valuable including the automatically suggested actions and support offered. I've never had the program glitch or look off. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Gusto?

I don't think there's anything that is less helpful or that I dislike. Something that could be helpful is better suggestions for how to fill out W4s and what the impact to take home pay would be or potential tax impacts. I don't have visibility into what Gusto costs in terms of enterprise pricing, but whatever it is it seems to be worth it and I would expect a high ROI. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Gusto Makes Payroll, HR, and Compliance Effortless"
5/5
What do you like best about Gusto?

What I like best is how Gusto simplifies the entire administrative side of running a business. It’s not just a payroll tool; it’s an all-in-one HR platform that handles tax filings, health benefits, and onboarding seamlessly. The interface is clean, intuitive, and takes the stress out of compliance, allowing me to focus more on growing my business rather than getting bogged down in manual paperwork. "Modern, Reliable Payroll & HR in One Clean Platform"
5/5
What do you like best about Gusto?

What I like best about Gusto is that it brings payroll, HR, benefits, employee self-service, onboarding, documents, PTO, and tax-related items into one clean, organized platform. It is easy to use, but the bigger value is how much administrative friction it removes from processes that can otherwise be manual, scattered, or confusing.

The integration experience has been straightforward. When connecting Gusto with other tools in the stack, the setup was simple, the data flowed as expected, and it did not require a lot of extra troubleshooting. That makes it easier to keep payroll and employee-related information connected without creating a separate manual process.

Gusto also performs well when it matters. Payroll and employee records need to be reliable, and the platform feels stable, fast, and dependable. Even when handling important tasks like payroll, tax documents, deductions, benefits, or employee updates, the system is responsive and easy to navigate.

From a pricing and ROI standpoint, Gusto feels like a strong value because it saves time, reduces internal back-and-forth, and gives employees easy access to information they would otherwise need to request manually. The value is not just in running payroll; it is in the consistency, visibility, and time savings it creates across the business.

The onboarding and support experience is also a major strength. The platform is intuitive enough that employees can find paystubs, tax forms, PTO balances, benefits information, and direct deposit details without much training. Help resources and guidance are easy to access, which makes setup and ongoing use feel manageable.

I also appreciate the smart automation built into the platform. Gusto helps automate repetitive payroll and HR tasks, reduces the chance of missing important steps, and makes key information easier to understand. Overall, Gusto feels modern, reliable, and efficient, and it helps make payroll and HR operations smoother for both administrators and employees. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Gusto?

There is not much that I strongly dislike about Gusto, but one area that could always be improved is giving users more customization and deeper visibility in certain parts of the platform. The system is very clean and easy to use, which is a major strength, but in some cases more advanced reporting, more flexible workflows, or more granular admin controls would make it even stronger for teams that want to tailor the platform more closely to their internal processes.

Some of the automation and guided workflows are helpful, but they can occasionally feel a little rigid if your company has a more specific way of handling payroll, HR, onboarding, approvals, or employee documentation. Gusto is excellent for standardizing these processes, but more flexibility would be useful for teams with more nuanced operational needs.

Overall, my dislikes are relatively minor. Gusto does the core things very well, but I would like to see continued improvement around customization, advanced reporting, and administrative flexibility as companies scale. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Gusto Makes Payroll and HR Simple, Efficient, and Easy to Navigate"
5/5
What do you like best about Gusto?

Whenever I log in it is easy to navigate and overall an amazing app to be using. Seeing my paycheck to taking time off is overall amazing work.I've had a great experience using the Gusto app. The platform is user-friendly, intuitive, and makes managing payroll and employee information simple and efficient. I especially appreciate how easy it is to access pay stubs, tax documents, and benefits information all in one place.

The app is well-designed and easy to navigate, even for users who aren't very tech-savvy. Notifications are timely, and payroll processing is smooth and reliable. Customer support has also been helpful whenever I've had questions.

Overall, Gusto is an excellent tool for both employees and employers. It saves time, reduces paperwork, and makes payroll management much more convenient. I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a dependable payroll and HR solution. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Gusto?

While Gusto is generally easy to use, there are a few areas that could be improved. The mobile app doesn't offer all the features available on the desktop version, which can be limiting when managing certain tasks on the go. Occasionally, customer support response times can be slower during busy periods. Additionally, some advanced payroll and HR features may require higher-tier plans, which can increase costs for smaller businesses. Despite these drawbacks, Gusto remains a reliable and user-friendly platform overall. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Easy Setup, User-Friendly Features, and Outstanding Customer Service"
5/5
What do you like best about Gusto?

It was easy to set up. All of the features are user friendly. The price compared to other payroll software was much cheaper. Customer service is outstanding. Every representative has been attentive and has helped me when I've needed it. They have also called just to follow up. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Gusto?

I had issues with employees getting their personal accounts set up. They had to use the forgot password method to create a login. There should be a better way for employees to create a login. Also, the pricing for time tracking is good as longs as it's for employees that need tracked. Salaried employees don't need to be time tracked, yet Gusto requires that all employees be included in the monthly charge. I don't think that's fair. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Clear, User-Friendly Payroll Dashboard with Strong Performance Reviews"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Gusto?

The dashboard makes it clear and straightforward for me to run payroll each cycle, and the grid where I enter information is genuinely user-friendly. I also really appreciate the performance review capabilities. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Gusto?

I’d really like to see the Reporting feature improved. I find it very difficult to navigate, and honestly, I get frustrated when I try to run a specific report and don’t get the filtered results I’m expecting—every time. It makes it hard for me to rely on the reports and make informed decisions. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Easy Setup and Simple Access to Paystubs and Tax Info"
5/5
What do you like best about Gusto?

It was very easy to set up, and I can quickly view my paystubs and access my tax information. It’s also been much easier to manage as my work status has shifted across three roles so far—contractor, employee, and then contractor again. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Gusto?

I haven’t found any downsides to using Gusto so far. The interface is straightforward and easy to navigate, and whenever I need to provide any missing information, my employer emails me a link that takes me right to what I need to complete. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Gusto Review"
3.5/5
What do you like best about Gusto?

I like that we have our own personal support person. We've had lots of questions and I think having one dedicated person helps to make sure our questions are handled in a decent timeframe and there isn't transferring to different departments involved. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Gusto?

I dislike the bring your broker program. It doesn't make sense to only allow your broker to make changes to our payroll when it comes to benefits.

I also dislike how long it takes to get assistance. We had a major issue where our employees didn't get paid because of the length of time to get assistance. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
