I like that Gusto allows me to easily log my hours, and I can even add them in retrospect. It really helps me focus on doing my work when I'm on the clock. The live hours tracking is also a nice feature. I find the interface to be simple and easy to use, making it easy to see when I worked, how it translates to my pay, and when I can expect to get paid. When I enter hours, the numbers function for the time (say, 07:00 PM) is really annoying to enter. It's just annoying to have to type '07, [enter] 00 [enter] PM.' It would be better with an easier interface for clicking when I started and ended. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

makes payroll simple - Gusto works hard to make it as easy to understand as possible. LOVE having my 'dashboard' of key actions to take care of. Helps me not worry about what I might be missing as everything timely is listed right there. They work very hard to make each function as simple to understand as possible. Streamlines things. example: changing payroll review to one screen to review and add bonuses from one screen that functions like a regular spreadsheet for filling in multiple info, yet is 'smart' and autosaves so you can go back out and back in without worrying about losing/re-entering info. LOVE how easy it is to onboard someone or remove. Love how they allow us to easily have team members in multiple states and those relevant taxes paid through gusto without me worrying about compliance in all those areas. I love the integration with background checking so we don't have to use a separate service. Simple to understand pricing that appears to me to be of great value for the services included. It's quick - our team can input hours from their phone app or online. HIGHLY recommend! I've referred to quite a few other businesses even before I knew they had a referral bonus available! Gusto is easy to use, largely because of its intuitive navigation bar. It helps me quickly find exactly what I need, whether that’s my most recent paycheck or my available PTO hours. Onboarding was smooth, and in the three years I’ve been using Gusto, I haven’t run into any performance issues.

I’m not aware of any integrations or AI features within Gusto. If those features aren’t available, I’d love to see them added; if they do exist, I’d appreciate it if they were more visible and easier to find. While I can see a high-level overview of my benefits in the Benefits tab, I wish the platforms that provide my benefits (for example, UnitedHealthcare) were integrated into Gusto so I could view everything in one place. I had filled my I9 form when I joined DriverAI LLC, and I made an error in it. There was no way for me to correct it, or raise a request in the platform so that my supervisor could provide me access to correct it. I had to reach out to my supervisor separately for it. Ease of use and transparency! Their online platform is extremely easy to navigate and user friendly. The transparency with their process is top notch. I know exactly what I need to do, when I need to do it and they even check to make sure I have sufficient funds in my checking account to clear payroll. I wouldn't count this as a dislike, more of a slight annoyance, but I don't care for the advertisements for other services. It's really not a hendrence though and I recognize they are only showing me services that might benefit my business. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I needed to find an alternative to Quickbooks Payroll and did some checking and saw Gusto was rated high. I figured I would do a trial to see. I setup the entire thing, even added the employees and linked it to QB in about a half hour. A rep from Gusto called me while I was setting up and even helped me through it. I processed my first payroll the next day in about 5 minutes and save about half the cost of QB. I entered all the employees and their withholding without having them do the onboarding but for any new employees I will have them do it themselves. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

The only thing I didn't like is that you have to come into the system again a day or 2 later in order to download the QB IIF file then import it. Also, maybe I just don't know how to do it properly but it only imports the main info into QB, not the details by employee. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I love how stupid simple Gusto makes setting up payroll. I am truly grateful for that. All you have to do is enter your employees' hours worked and Gusto will calculate everything else (including taxes) without you needing a degree in math. It also has an extremely user-friendly dashboard for employees to log in and get their own w-2's at the end of each year instead of asking me all the time. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

The customer support for Gusto has completely died over the last year. When you create a ticket, you typically wait 3 days just for some random agent to respond with a copy and paste message that does not even fix your problem. I hate this keyboard it keeps skipping spaces and its driving me crazy They also charge extra for silly things such as filing amended returns with the irs (even though you already pay for there full service tier).
