"Gusto Makes Payroll and HR Effortless with an Intuitive, Reliable Platform"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Gusto?

**Gusto Review**

We've had a great experience using Gusto for payroll and HR. The platform is intuitive, reliable, and has made managing our team significantly easier.

**UI / UX:**

One of Gusto's biggest strengths is its clean, modern interface. Everything is well organized, making it easy to navigate whether you're running payroll, onboarding a new employee, or accessing tax documents. Employees also find the self-service portal straightforward and user-friendly.

**Integrations:**

Gusto integrates seamlessly with many of the tools we already use, including accounting software, time tracking, and benefits platforms. These integrations reduce manual data entry and help keep everything synchronized across systems.

**Performance:**

The platform performs consistently well. Payroll processing is fast, reports generate quickly, and we've experienced very few technical issues. The reliability gives us confidence that payroll and tax filings will be handled accurately and on time.

**Pricing / ROI:**

Gusto offers excellent value for the features it provides. While there are less expensive payroll options, the time saved through automation, compliance support, and ease of use more than justifies the cost. The return on investment is especially noticeable for small and growing businesses.

**Support / Onboarding:**

Getting started with Gusto was simple, thanks to its guided onboarding process. Customer support has been responsive and knowledgeable whenever we've had questions, and the help documentation is comprehensive enough to solve many issues without needing to contact support.

**AI / Intelligence:**

Gusto has continued to add intelligent features that simplify administrative tasks and improve workflows. Its smart recommendations, automated compliance features, and helpful insights reduce the amount of manual work required, allowing us to focus more on our employees and business operations rather than paperwork.

**Overall:**

Gusto is an excellent all-in-one payroll and HR platform. Its intuitive design, dependable performance, strong integrations, and thoughtful automation make it a solution we'd confidently recommend to businesses looking to simplify payroll and employee management. "Easy-to-Use Platform With Top-Notch Transparency"
5/5
What do you like best about Gusto?

Ease of use and transparency! Their online platform is extremely easy to navigate and user friendly. The transparency with their process is top notch. I know exactly what I need to do, when I need to do it and they even check to make sure I have sufficient funds in my checking account to clear payroll. It's night and day over my last payroll company. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Gusto?

I wouldn't count this as a dislike, more of a slight annoyance, but I don't care for the advertisements for other services. It's really not a hendrence though and I recognize they are only showing me services that might benefit my business. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Fast Setup, Helpful Support, and Big Payroll Savings with Gusto"
5/5
What do you like best about Gusto?

I needed to find an alternative to Quickbooks Payroll and did some checking and saw Gusto was rated high. I figured I would do a trial to see. I setup the entire thing, even added the employees and linked it to QB in about a half hour. A rep from Gusto called me while I was setting up and even helped me through it. I processed my first payroll the next day in about 5 minutes and save about half the cost of QB. I entered all the employees and their withholding without having them do the onboarding but for any new employees I will have them do it themselves. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Gusto?

The only thing I didn't like is that you have to come into the system again a day or 2 later in order to download the QB IIF file then import it. Also, maybe I just don't know how to do it properly but it only imports the main info into QB, not the details by employee. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Easy to Navigate, Top-Notch Support, and Seamless Integrations with Gusto"
5/5
What do you like best about Gusto?

excellent website that is easy to navigate, top notch support team that resolves issues quickly & efficiently,

It is reasonably priced, had ADP before for several years and switched to Gusto. So happy that I did and have never regretted making the change.

has integrated with several 3rd parties to expand services such as medical and dental benefit and worker's comp insurance which is more efficient for a small business to handle fewer vendors.

As Gusto has grown bigger, have not seen a drop-off in response rates nor in quality of services Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Gusto?

haven't seen any. there are more services that I would like them to take on such as being able to pay 3rd party vendors such as buying wokrer's comp insurance thru Gusto would be more helpful Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Stupid-Simple Payroll Setup With a User-Friendly Employee Dashboard"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Gusto?

I love how stupid simple Gusto makes setting up payroll. I am truly grateful for that. All you have to do is enter your employees' hours worked and Gusto will calculate everything else (including taxes) without you needing a degree in math. It also has an extremely user-friendly dashboard for employees to log in and get their own w-2's at the end of each year instead of asking me all the time. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Gusto?

The customer support for Gusto has completely died over the last year. When you create a ticket, you typically wait 3 days just for some random agent to respond with a copy and paste message that does not even fix your problem. I hate this keyboard it keeps skipping spaces and its driving me crazy They also charge extra for silly things such as filing amended returns with the irs (even though you already pay for there full service tier). "Seamless, User-Friendly Payroll Platform—A Definite Winner for New Companies"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Gusto?

Gusto is user-friendly for both employers and employees. The account setup feels seamless and straightforward. From an employer standpoint, the platform is easy to navigate and use. An AI-assisted tool would be a big improvement compared to reading through pages and pages of “self help,” especially if you’re a new user rather than someone who’s already familiar with the platform. That said, I’ve noticed this has now been incorporated—love the additions. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Gusto?

For more advanced payroll users, the functionality feels quite basic. I’d strongly recommend offering tutorials instead of relying mainly on the FAQ pages, as that would make it easier to learn and keep up. Alternatively, adding an AI tool could also help. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Easy Setup, Great Value, and a Big Boost for Payroll & Compliance"
5/5
What do you like best about Gusto?

The ease of use and set up is very user friendly. The price point is great and they seem to be contiunually improving the software. Our team loves it and I enjoy how easy it has made payroll and compliance. One feature that is really helpful is I can access it through the app on my phone for my admin role or my employee role. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Gusto?

I do wish I had the ability to be more customized on time off policies and able to assign more than one time off policy to employees. for instance sometime team members are awarded additional time off instead of a bonus. There have beem instances where I still had to track time off manually because of only one policy limitations and awarded time off wil carry over where our regular PTO policy does not. "Clean, Intuitive Payroll That Saves Time—Backed by Excellent Support"
5/5
What do you like best about Gusto?

Gusto has one of the easiest payroll platforms I’ve used. The interface is clean and intuitive, making it simple to onboard employees, run payroll, manage benefits, and keep everything organized. Their customer support has also been excellent—responsive, knowledgeable, and quick to help whenever we’ve had questions. Overall, it saves us a lot of administrative time and makes payroll much less stressful. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Gusto?

Honestly, I haven’t come across any major issues. The platform has been reliable, easy to use, and has met our payroll and HR needs well so far. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Streamlined Onboarding and Contractor Payments With Helpful Reports"
5/5
What do you like best about Gusto?

Gusto has a multitude of various functions that help a business. We use it primarily for paying our contractors and storing documents. It allows our Human Resource department to streamline onboarding paperwork and getting new hires payroll and direct deposits set-up. We have been using it for a few years now and for the price and what it offers, we are satisfied with the performance and overall ease of use. The reports are helpful as well, we use these monthly to reconcile payments to our contractors, both in the US and other countries. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Gusto?

The only downside that we have found is that we would love for our contractors to be able to clock the time for their projects and invoice directly in Gusto. This would allow better project management and make profit and loss on a project much easier. The clocking option is only available for employees, unfortunately. "Effortless Automated Payroll, but Limited Customization and Hard-to-Reach Support"
3.5/5
What do you like best about Gusto?

Gusto’s automated payroll and self-service onboarding have made managing administrative tasks virtually effortless. The "set-it-and-forget-it" payroll seamlessly handles state and local tax filings, while the contractor self-onboarding portal keeps sensitive direct deposit and tax information organized without endless email chains. My favorite feature is the automatic sync with accounting software, which keeps bookkeeping perfectly aligned after every pay run. As an added bonus, former contractors retain permanent access to their own tax documents, saving me from a flood of W-2 and 1099 requests every tax season. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Gusto?

While Gusto handles standard payroll well, it becomes frustrating when you need to resolve complex issues or customize workflows. Reaching live customer support can be difficult, as you often have to navigate automated chatbots before getting to a human representative, which is stressful during time-sensitive tax or payroll errors. Additionally, the platform lacks advanced custom reporting options, and pricing can escalate quickly as base fees and per-contractor or per-employee costs add up as your team grows.
