"Gusto Payroll App: Easy Navigation with Handy Pay Advances, Paycheck Estimates & Time Tracking"
5/5
What do you like best about Gusto?

I love the Gusto Payroll App. I like how easy it is to navigate—everything I need is in one place, which makes managing my information simple and convenient.

A few features really stand out to me: the paycheck advance option, the expected paycheck amount feature, and the time tracking. Being able to view an estimate of my upcoming paycheck helps me plan ahead financially, and the pay advance feature comes in handy when unexpected expenses pop up. The time tracking is also straightforward and ties in smoothly with payroll, so it’s easy to log and keep track of my hours.

Overall, Gusto offers a user-friendly experience along with practical tools that make payroll, time tracking, and staying on top of my earnings much easier. I’d recommend it to anyone who wants an all-in-one payroll and workforce management app. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Gusto?

I haven’t found anything to dislike about the app, and I have experience with many payroll apps. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Effortlessly User-Friendly, Highly Recommend"
5/5
What do you like best about Gusto?

I really like how easy Gusto is to use and navigate. It's straightforward to find specific things I'm looking for, which saves time and reduces frustration. Additionally, I find that accessing support is simple and efficient, enhancing my overall experience with the product. Setting up Gusto initially was also very easy, which speaks to the intuitive design of the tool. Altogether, these features combine to create a seamless experience that I greatly appreciate. i use this app daily and have no issues, and very easy to merge over my bank information , PTO, and it allows me to leave comments Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Gusto?

There’s not a feature where it can send us reminders to clock in or clock out for lunch or for the day . Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Exceptionally User-Friendly HR/Payroll With Flexible Payroll Splits"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Gusto?

Gusto is by far the most user-friendly HR/Payroll platform I have ever used. I love the fact that I am able to split my payroll to multiple accounts, including the Gusto bank/debit account. Additionally, I like the payroll advance option it gives you to help you out between pay periods but do wish it allowed for more of an advance at first - I was limited to just $50 to help until my first paycheck, which unfortunately was 3 full weeks and it would have been exceedingly more helpful if I could have advanced at least $100. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Gusto?

As mentioned in the previous screen (what I like about Gusto), my biggest dislike would be the payroll advance option. Starting out with my current company, I was only able to advance $50 but my first paycheck was 3 full weeks out and it would have been exceedingly more helpful if I could have advanced at least $100 or more to help tie me over. "Friendly, Efficient Support and an Intuitive Platform for HR Compliance"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Gusto?

The support is always friendly and efficient! The platform is intuitive and easy to navigate. Gusto also helps small businesses stay in HR compliance without outsourcing HR. Pricing is reasonable, but it could be better for nonprofit organizations! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Gusto?

So far, I’ve been pleased with Gusto overall. What I don’t like is the pricing model that charges per staff member and/or for any additional contractor added to the platform. As you add people, the cost keeps going up, and as a nonprofit organization, that’s difficult to sustain in the long term. I’d love for all of my external vendors and contractors to track their time through the platform, but paying an additional $16 per person isn’t worth it for us right now. "Best Payroll on the Market"
5/5
What do you like best about Gusto?

It's the easiest payroll for clients and accountants to use. If an issue occurs (payroll issues when a client is running payroll, setting up tax accounts, notices from the state, etc) Gusto customer service is easy to reach out to and eager to help. Detailed reports and clarity around each tax filing form and payment makes it super easy to track payroll. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Gusto?

The contractor payment section could be more robust. There is only one small section for a memo, while some contractors require more detailing in their payment section. Sometimes a customer service rep isn't the more helpful- I will have to close the chat and reach back out to get better help. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Easy Payroll and Tax Forms with Fair Pricing and Helpful Human Support"
4/5
What do you like best about Gusto?

I like the integration with bookkeeping software, the ability to run payroll with minimal effort, and how easy it is to set up tax forms and other documents. It also helps that I can chat with a real human when I need support, and the pricing feels fair for what’s included. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Gusto?

Switching from a previous payroll provider has been difficult because my accountant can’t easily upload the earlier payroll information. I also don’t like that each payroll comes into my bookkeeping software as a “bill,” and I have to manually change it every time. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Reliable Payroll, Contractors, and HR All in One Place"
5/5
What do you like best about Gusto?

We've expanded into using Gusto for contractor payments and management

alongside our core HR needs. Having employees, contractors, 1099s, and

payroll all in one place has cut down on tool sprawl for our team. The

onboarding flow for new hires is straightforward and the automated tax

filings continue to be dependable. The mobile app updates for time

tracking and PTO requests have also been a nice quality-of-life

improvement. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Gusto?

Reporting could still use some work — pulling custom cross-year

comparisons or combined payroll + contractor payment reports takes

more clicks than it should. Deeper integrations with benefits providers

would also help streamline open enrollment cycles. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Gusto Makes Payroll, Onboarding, and Tax Filing Stress-Free"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Gusto?

I use this website daily to do my business' payroll. The employees are able to get into the portal, download their own pay stubs and it has saved me much anxiety. And, the direct deposit of reimbursements works fine. One feature I really like about Gusto is that once an employee has completed all of their new hire paperwork, Gusto sends them an automatic email letting them know they need to complete the rest of their onboarding before their first day. Gusto’s tax filing features load in the back ground and never give me the headache of having to deal with all of the different local compliance issues. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Gusto?

I think the mobile app for Gusto is terrible. There is quite a bit of lag/glitching with the employee portal (in comparison to running it through a computer), and I often get complaints from my employees who are trying to request time off through their phones. Another frustration I experience frequently is that if you decide to make a change, such as add a raise or pay adjustment to your employees in the system, the changes are automatically saved. So, you don’t have the option to “un-do” those actions. Therefore, you have to be extremely careful. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Gusto Keeps Benefits and Performance Info Neatly in One Place"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Gusto?

Gusto is really helpful for centralizing important information and features in one place. It’s great being able to review my benefits, performance info (goals and evaluations), paystub history, tax documents, and expenses all in one spot. I also appreciate how clean and simple the UI is, and the site feels responsive overall. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Gusto?

As clean and simple as the interface is, some implementations feel too simple. For example, with my performance Goals, I’d like to be able to add updates to a Goal without being forced to apply a status. Sometimes I need to update goals that I haven’t started yet, but to add an update I’m required to “start” them first.

I’d also like Goal creation to include AI assistance for drafting Goals in specific formats (SMART, for example). Finally, I’d like evaluation templates to support nested templates, where a core template can be included inside other templates. This would be especially helpful when there are core competencies tracked for every role, even when those roles also have unique, role-specific competencies. "Gusto: Intuitive Payroll and Benefits That Saves Hours"
5/5
What do you like best about Gusto?

Gusto has truly been a game-changer for my business. The platform is very intuitive, handles payroll and benefits smoothly, and has saved me countless hours of administrative hassle. I’d highly recommend it to any small business owner, especially if you want to stay focused on your day-to-day work instead of carrying the extra burden of payroll. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Gusto?

Honestly, I don’t have any complaints at all. Gusto is extremely intuitive and easy to use, and the entire payroll process feels so seamless that I haven’t run into any downsides. For me, the experience has been flawless from day one, and I also believe it’s priced appropriately. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
