**What do you like best about Gusto?**

I love Gusto for its ability to solve payroll and tax issues by efficiently filing taxes for us, which significantly reduces my administrative burden, when the taxes are filed correctly if at all. I find the document management features very beneficial, allowing me to upload, edit, and distribute documents like employee handbooks and policies seamlessly to staff members. This feature is enhanced by the capability to have different sections of a form filled out by employees and the administration side, which greatly aids in collaborative documentation and accuracy. Additionally, the initial setup process was straightforward and uncomplicated, reflecting Gusto's user-friendly design.

**What do you dislike about Gusto?**

I find that Gusto lacks a built-in accounting software feature similar to QuickBooks. This limitation means I need to manage accounting separately, which could be more seamlessly integrated within Gusto.

**What problems is Gusto solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Gusto to solve payroll and tax issues, as they handle tax filing for us. It also allows document uploads and edits for onboarding, enabling shared form filling between employees and administration, streamlining our processes. Some issues we have had is Gusto not filing the tax form and us being charged late fees and Gusto has said before someone else has filed the taxes so they couldn't but no one else can file the taxes.

**What do you like best about Gusto?**

I've continued to appreciate how easy Gusto makes payroll and employee management. The automated reminders and notifications help keep everything on track, and the employee self-service features make it convenient for team members to access their pay stubs and tax documents. The platform continues to save time and reduce administrative work.

**What do you dislike about Gusto?**

Overall, Gusto works very well, but adding more functionality and flexibility to the mobile app would make the experience even better. Having access to all desktop features on mobile would be especially helpful for users who manage payroll and HR tasks while away from their computers.

**What problems is Gusto solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Gusto for payroll at my job, and it's honestly super convenient. I can see my paychecks, taxes, and even benefits all in one place. It's easy to use, fast, and I don't have to bug HR every time I need a pay stub or info for taxes.

**What do you like best about Gusto?**

I also like that Gusto proactively sends emails on financial related topics or changes in legislation that might affect my business. 
Lastly, it is easy to pull a report anytime. I get it done in a jiffy.

**What do you dislike about Gusto?**

As much as I appreciate the proactive emails, sometimes I feel that they waste my time as the topics are not as finely curated as they could be. I am a small business of two. I don't need freak out emails about legislation that does not apply to me.

**Recommendations to others considering Gusto:**

I tried several other Payroll companies over the years, one of the best business decisions I have made was to choose Gusto.

**What problems is Gusto solving and how is that benefiting you?**

As a small business owner, I wear many hats. I don't have an HR department or someone whose sole focus is taking care of matters like Payroll. With Gusto, I can feel confident that I am "doing things" correctly and quickly access reports when I need them. Gusto was a Godsend during the past year when I required information/reports for the Payroll Protection Program - both to apply for the funding and to apply for forgiveness. I had success all around! I couldn't have done it without Gusto.

**What do you like best about Gusto?**

I am a Payroll Specialist for an Accounting and Bookkeeping firm, so I use Gusto along with another well known platform to perform all of my payroll tasks. I can say that there are certain things that I like a lot more on Gusto then on the other platform, such as ease of navigation across the platform, helpful, generally knowledgeable and friendly customer service and multiple different options of contacting customer service including chat, (which I use most frequently) email, phone call (when the lines are open) or a call back feature. They have a pretty helpful knowledgebase if you are trying to resolve an issue on your own as well. I did utilize their certification programs when I was first learning how to navigate Gusto as well, which I found very helpful and being able to add the badge to my signature lets our clients know that I have done my due diligence to learn the ins and outs of the Gusto platform. Gusto has a ton of useful features to offer it's clients, and we also use Gusto for our own payroll platform, so I use it as a user as well as an Administrative role and find ease of navigation to be across the board as both types of users.

**What do you dislike about Gusto?**

So far with my personal experience, there have been a few areas that could use improvement. I have had a few encounters with customer support, primarily through chat, that have given out incorrect information which lead to further interactions needed with customer support for the same issue. There have been numerous bugs and issues on the site that I have needed to report as well. There are still a few features that clients would like to see Gusto develop, such as options for Roth 401k deductions (post-tax), as one example. I have also been told on numerous occasions by customer support that I would be contacted further about a specific issue, and never heard back from anyone regarding my case. I have also requested call backs and never received any call back.

**What problems is Gusto solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We have been able to sell a lot of our clients on Gusto's payroll services, which helps our business grow and gives our clients confidence in our abilities to handle their payroll with precision and care on a trustworthy and fairly priced platform.

**What do you like best about Gusto?**

I have been using Gusto for about three years across different employers, and I've grown to appreciate its comprehensive integration capabilities. Gusto seamlessly consolidates various crucial functions like benefits, expenses, and HR information, all in one place. This integration significantly reduces the time we would otherwise spend searching through disparate systems or managing multiple PDFs and links for our vendors. This centralization has proven invaluable, especially since our organization lacks dedicated HR systems. Additionally, I've been impressed with the simplicity of Gusto's setup process; my entire company was able to become operational within a month, which speaks volumes about the user-friendliness of the platform. On a personal note, I also appreciate how Gusto aligns with our small business needs, allowing us to manage everything efficiently without the need for complex systems. This efficiency is further highlighted by my willingness to score it a 9 out of 10 in terms of recommending it to colleagues or friends.

**What do you dislike about Gusto?**

The people management features in Gusto could be improved, particularly in the areas of goal setting and calendar integration. This is important because my management prefers using Google Suite, and improving these aspects in Gusto could help keep users on the platform, especially for tasks like meeting setting.

I use Gusto to centralize my HR needs, streamlining everything from benefits to expenses, so I don't waste time tracking multiple systems, enhancing organizational efficiency.

**What do you like best about Gusto?**

I like using Gusto for payroll because it makes it easier than calculating all the deductions myself. I really appreciate the ability to chat with an actual person to get an answer, which is super helpful. Additionally, the ease of use is nice. Its pretty simple UI design makes it intuitive.

**What do you dislike about Gusto?**

I wish Gusto had more features, especially with journal entry changes in accounting software, like using manual checks in different accounts than direct deposits. I find the process of handling employee leave cumbersome as I'd prefer an option to mark an employee as inactive instead of skipping them on each payroll. The benefits and deductions setup feels backwards because I have to add the first one through the deductions tab and then can manage everything from the employee page afterward. It would be simpler if everything could start from the same spot.

**What problems is Gusto solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Gusto makes payroll easier by calculating deductions for me. I like that I can chat with a real person for answers. Its simple UI is intuitive and easy to use.

**What do you like best about Gusto?**

The software is very easy to use and employees like it.  It is easy to onboard people and some of the tools make running the office more smooth (like the ability to look at the calendar,etc.)

**What do you dislike about Gusto?**

I find Gusto's filing systems and the ability to clean out old information from the account to be lacking. This functionality doesn't work as expected and can cause clutter in our data management. Additionally, the inability to add or edit a policy halfway through the year is problematic. For instance, if there's a mid-year policy change such as a leave allocation, the system fails to detect and apply these changes properly. This can lead to discrepancies in leave management. Furthermore, Gusto's benefits integration is not very impressive; it lacks the seamless integration needed to manage employee benefits effectively.

The ability to have an automated payroll is the best benefit. Beyond that, the time tracking, leave balances, and consolidated source of employee information makes life easier

**What do you like best about Gusto?**

Everything is so easy to find in Gusto, it's a hub for everything you need related to HR. I also love the pig mascot on the loading page, I smile when it changes outfits for the season!

**What do you dislike about Gusto?**

It might be nice if they started including a calendar view of time off, so that I could see if my team's requested PTO overlaps in any way. I also wish that time off could be better integrated into Outlook - I do have this set up, but it shows half days as full days, which can become confusing.

**What problems is Gusto solving and how is that benefiting you?**

A web-based HR solution as opposed to having multiple forms stored on our server. It helps us stay organized and focused on our work instead of dealing with a mess of files. I also love how I can find information about all of my team members on Gusto.

The addition of state-specific training requirements, such as the required harassment training for New York employees, has been very helpful.

**What do you dislike about Gusto?**

Self-guided tutorials for some of the newer features would be helpful.

**What problems is Gusto solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It is much more user-friendly than our old payroll platform. It's been easier for me as an admin and from the employee side as well. The past couple of years we even started using the Performance section to do our quarterly check-ins instead of an annual review that was done by email. It's so much easier to track and see who has completed theirs and who I need to follow up with.

**What do you like best about Gusto?**

I like the fact that Gusto is extremely user-friendly. We use it daily so it is imperative that it is easy to navigate. I also enjoy having Gus as a tool to help when I have simple questions instead of having to call or email in a ticket for support.

**What do you dislike about Gusto?**

There is still quite a bit of programs it seems Gusto does not integrate with yet. For example we use Employee Navigator for our health benefits portal and we can not link Gusto to it yet.

**What problems is Gusto solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I would say developing Gus has been an immense help and i can see will continue to benefit me. I also know that Gusto is working on integrating with other benefit platforms, so I would imagine over time we can integrate our Employee Navigator portal with Gusto to ease double implementation. I also like that recently, Gusto added a function to additional administrative functions to certain types of users instead of like an all or nothing admin access.

**What do you like best about Gusto?**

I have found Gusto to be the superior solution when when it comes to managing payroll for my clients. Not only is their system and software fantastic, but their customer service is top notch. I have dealt with other payroll providers whose customer service folks have no idea how to help. With Gusto, no matter who I talk to, they are all knowledgeable and able to solve my problems. I have immense faith in them to help me and get to the bottom of things any time I reach out and that alone would keep me with their system. Additionally, I have always been impressed with how proactive they are. Where other payroll systems catch things like changes in tax rates months later, causing headaches, missed payments, and fees... Gusto is literally the one telling ME there has been an change in a tax rate. They also prompt things like end of year reviews for W-2s and 1099s with tasks on my dashboard, meaning that they help me get everything done. I love Gusto and I switch all my clients over to it. It is seriously the best payroll product I've ever used.

**What do you dislike about Gusto?**

The only client I've ever had use Gusto that didn't love it was a client who required some really complex mapping to their chart of accounts for the purpose of job costing to construction. I'm not even sure this is Gusto's fault rather than the customers unwillingness to change a system that was already in place. The mapping for automatically syncing information to Quickbooks can be a little confusing if you have a lot of benefits, but for most purposes it's straightforward and meets the needs. Other than that, I truly can't think of any other complaints I have!

**What problems is Gusto solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Gusto allows me to easily run payroll for all clients employees. They also allow me to offer contractor bill payment services (which is so easy with Gusto). This allows me to offer this as a higher ticket service while using Gusto to make performing the work a breeze.

I like Gusto for its ability to help me keep my worked-hours straight, making billing much easier and more streamlined for both my own records and my client's. I also really enjoy the little animations and the silly, whimsical addition they bring to my workday. I think time tracking works really well with Gusto. Additionally, the initial setup was very easy and straightforward.

I don't love having to login each time I want to access it. It gets annoying having to do it multiple times a day.

I really appreciate Gusto’s AI‑powered search feature, which makes it easy to quickly find answers and navigate the platform. When I do need additional help, their customer service team has been excellent—responsive, knowledgeable, and always following up with an email to document the conversation. The payroll process itself is extremely user‑friendly, with customizable earnings, smooth off‑cycle payroll options, and an intuitive interface that makes managing payroll simple and efficient.

**What do you dislike about Gusto?**

The only challenge we’ve experienced is that Gusto offers many optional add‑on services per employee, which can make it difficult to quickly understand what is included versus what is an extra cost. A more streamlined view or clearer breakdown of required vs. optional services would make the platform even easier to navigate.

**What problems is Gusto solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Payroll is time‑consuming, error‑prone, and legally risky — especially with hourly techs, overtime rules, sick leave accrual, and California labor laws. Gusto solves these problems by automating payroll calculations, handling overtime and meal/rest break compliance, auto‑filing payroll taxes, tracking PTO and sick‑leave balances, and providing direct deposit for employees.

We are small so we only use a fraction of what they offer, but it still is a great option for payroll and paying contractors.

**What do you dislike about Gusto?**

Previous Response: I'm on a basic tier for pricing, and I wish some of the advanced tier things were available ala carte. We are small, we have one on payroll and several contractors we pay through Gusto, so upgrading doesn't make a ton of sense for us.

**What problems is Gusto solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I don't have the knowledge and time to do it myself, so Gusto takes care of all of it for me.

**What do you like best about Gusto?**

It’s incredibly easy to use, and it truly keeps everything HR under one roof—compliance, payroll, expense reimbursement, training and courses, contractor payments, automatic 1099 and W-2 generation, plus tons of reporting and insights. Having all of those compliance-related tools in one place makes my job in HR so much more enjoyable and a lot smoother day to day.

There honestly aren’t any downsides. The only opportunities I’ve noticed, though, are that I often find the ability to customize performance review tools, metrics, and methods to our company’s operating system is missing.

**What problems is Gusto solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Gusto has helped me solve a lot of issues. When I first started using Gusto, I was new to HR—completely new. Thanks to Gusto, I was able to get assistance figuring HR out, and now, fast-forward, I’ve built a career around Gusto and use it for almost all of my HR clients.

Since my last review, I've continued to appreciate how Gusto keeps improving the overall payroll experience. The reporting tools are easy to use, employee onboarding remains straightforward, and the platform makes it simple to manage both W-2 employees and contractors in one place. I also like the continued integration with accounting software and the transparency around payroll processing, taxes, and compliance. It has remained a reliable, user-friendly solution that reduces administrative work and lets me focus on higher-value accounting tasks

**What do you dislike about Gusto?**

Gusto is excellent overall, but scheduling could be a stronger area. Since I also use Homebase, I notice that Homebase has more dedicated scheduling features, while Gusto feels stronger on payroll, compliance, taxes, and accounting integrations. If Gusto expanded its scheduling tools and added deeper reporting/GL customization, it would become an even more complete workforce management platform.

Gusto saves me hours each month by automating payroll, tax filings, and compliance tasks. I also use it to manage employee onboarding and time-off tracking, which keeps everything centralized and paperless. It’s especially valuable for small to medium-sized businesses that want enterprise-level functionality without the complexity or price tag of large ERPs.

Recently I had to reverse a payroll that I ran. The team at Gusto helped me be able to do that and walk me through the steps. On top of already liking Gusto, I realized how easy it is to access customer service which can be difficult with other companies. 

**What do you dislike about Gusto?**

For the most part Gusto has been very helpful with customer service but there has been one or two times where they don’t really seem to understand my issue and how to help. Sometimes their AI service is almost better. 

**What problems is Gusto solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Gusto is a great price and offers contractor payments for inside and outside the US which other companies do not offer. It allows us to do all payments and put them into different departments.

Gusto is very easy to use. I like being able to customize my on-boarding checklist. The price is very good, especially for companies that pay weekly. Chat is usually very helpful.

**What do you dislike about Gusto?**

The platform is very rigid. For example, a client who has a bi-weekly payroll used to only withhold employees' share of health insurance on the first and second payrolls of the month so, for the two months each year when there are three paydays, they would get a deduction "holiday", increasing their net pay two times a year. The benefit to the employer is a better match of employee deductions against premiums as well -- one month's premium and two deductions each month. They switched to Gusto which can only do 1/26 of the annual premium per pay period.

**What problems is Gusto solving and how is that benefiting you?**

My main client using Gusto is fully remote and has no HR department. As their bookkeeper, HR tasks fall to me. Having HR tools has been a big help. They've been able to implement virtual labor law posters, an employee handbook, and better on-boarding practices using Gusto and related tools.

The ability to access the interface on multiple devices is a huge plus for me, along with its good tracking for hours and paychecks. I find the site navigation and compatibility across different platforms very convenient. The interface is fast and clear, allowing direct access to hours, and it provides detailed information for each pay period. I really like how easy it is to use and navigate through Gusto.  It's really easy to find what I need and to get to customer service if necessary.  I love the Gusto spending account features like how you can split your paycheck up into different accounts and the early paydays.  I am going to start using the savings goal feature.  I also like how when I need to chat with customer service about my spending account they respond quickly and are always very helpful.  I also love how I can keep track of my time off hours and requests.  It's great how I can see overviews and detailed info about my paychecks and my hours for the day.  Gusto is awesome on multiple levels, from reviewing and uploading documents to the W2 form being available by January 15th to the advance pay option where your advance limit rises quickly with responsible usage.  I'm looking forward to new features from Gusto in the near future!

So far the only thing that comes to mind is that you can't lock your spending account card if it gets lost.   Unless I just haven't discovered how.  It would be nice if we could use Zelle with our Gusto spending account, maybe soon!

I was able to set up my pay periods exactly how I wanted them to be scheduled. I tried another app/software before Gusto, and though I follow the instructions that they provided, they were unable to set up my pay roll schedule how I wanted (and what would work best for my small business). I wasted so much time and frustration with them, but Gusto relieved that instantly. Payroll is so fast and so easy to run.

Not sure if this is a Gusto problem or a bank problem, but I wish I had more control over when the funds were deposited into my employee's direct deposit account. It appears as "pending" for them on pay day. I wish I could run the payment a day early so it cleared on the actual pay date, but I am not seeing an option where I can still have Friday as the "pay date" on the paystub but transfer the funds on Thursday.

I am not Gusto admin for my company, so I can't speak on ease of integration, but I process our monthly retirement contributions. Our company owner was able to integrate Gusto and the retirement benefits account, and it significantly reduced my workload and the likelihood for human error in manual entries.

From a user perspective, it is nice to have expenses, time tracking, pay statements, etc all in one place. Previous companies I've worked for used 2+ apps for the same functionality.

**What do you dislike about Gusto?**

1- The phone app's limited functionality. Expenses should be added and there should be a camera option to take a photo of a receipt within the app.
2- Unable to enter hours in bulk, i.e. "8 hours", rather than time tracking. My job does not require us to track the time of day we worked. It only requires number of hours worked. Entering hours and minutes is tedious and unnecessary.
3- When using the web version, if you accidentally click anywhere on the screen outside the box where you are entering hours and notes, it deletes the information you entered and you have to start again.
4- Initial user login/setup was a bit confusing. It seemed like it was asking me to create an account for a new company, rather than a user.

I really like the UI and how easy and intuitive the platform is. The next paycheck status is convenient for knowing when incoming funds will hit my account. The Gusto wallet or balance/spending tracker is also a feature that stands out to me. The tabs for people, pay, and documents are the most relevant and valuable for me. The people tab lets me see who's on the team, which is interesting. The pay tab is important for seeing invoice details and ensuring everything matches correctly. The documents tab is equally important for making sure all necessary forms are signed. The status column in the documents tab is exceptional, as it helps me track unsigned forms and encourages me to complete them. The initial setup of Gusto was pretty quick and straightforward, which I appreciated.

I'm not sure what the view of Gusto looks like from the employer's side but within a company, it'd be nice to have an overview of W2 benefits that my employer could submit for employees to view. Additionally, there's a box on the home page labeled 'Tasks' which I have yet to use. It's constantly "all caught up" for me because I've never used it so it's not entirely clear to me what exactly this is for. For spending trends, I think that this is an important factor when it comes to personal finance and teaching people but from my perspective, it seems a bit out of place because within a payroll system, I'm not expecting to also have a personal budgeting diagram since my money is spent on other financial applications. I typically do my personal budgeting elsewhere but I think it'd be an interesting idea for this aspect to be its own system that could be linked to Gusto.

**What do you like best about Gusto?**

I use Gusto for all HR functions like onboarding and offboarding. I like that Gusto helps me have a standardized, easy onboarding system for new hires. It's user-friendly for all levels of tech skills, making it simple for employees to follow steps without much assistance from me, which saves me time. I like that it's easy to navigate for both employers and employees. The friendly reminders about time-sensitive things like payroll reports and W2s are also helpful. The initial setup was very easy and simple, with friendly reminders as you set up the platform.

**What do you dislike about Gusto?**

I think Gusto is really behind the times on the recruiting end. Some of their tech functions can be clunky- ex, you can't put in your own documents with fill and sign without it being super small text. I also wish there was a way to text and email candidates/employees through the app.

**What problems is Gusto solving and how is that benefiting you?**

**What do you like best about Gusto?**

I use Gusto for onboarding, benefits, payroll, taxes, and pretty much everything. It helps me with payroll, time tracking, benefits, and most importantly, filing taxes and state/federal documents that I wouldn't otherwise know how to do. I like that it's user-friendly and I appreciate the design of the platform. The initial setup was very easy for my team.

**What do you dislike about Gusto?**

There are functions that it does not do. I have an especially hard time with holiday pay and overtime. Also, there is no option to trigger COBRA for an employee on leave that extends longer than 3 months. With dismissal payrolls, it becomes extremely difficult to figure out if the employee owes their portion of benefits premiums or if they are paid up for the remainder of the month they are terminated in.

**What problems is Gusto solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Gusto for payroll, time tracking, benefits, and tax filing, which I wouldn't otherwise know how to do.

**What do you like best about Gusto?**

I love how Gusto set us up quickly and easily for a new business in a new state, which was a huge step up from doing it manually. It makes payroll, a process that can be challenging with many software and almost impossible on one's own, a more painless process. It's easy to set up employees, adjust wages, and running payroll itself is pretty easy. Setting up new employees is quick and can be done in a few minutes from the admin end. I just have to approve it after the employee completes their part. I would rate the initial setup of Gusto as a 9 out of 10 for ease.

**What do you dislike about Gusto?**

I would love to be able to take my scheduling spreadsheet and copy/paste it into Gusto and have the payroll prepped quickly that way. I suspect that AI could help with the process but I haven't seen a capability in Gusto yet.

**What problems is Gusto solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Gusto simplifies and speeds up the payroll setup for new businesses. It makes payroll less challenging, easy to set up employees, adjust wages, and run payroll efficiently.

**What do you like best about Gusto?**

I like Gusto because it's a very intuitive platform that's really easy to use. There's actually good live service, and everything is organized really easily, making it user-friendly for our staff. I appreciate that it gives me automated reminders when there are compliance issues or things related to payroll that I should be aware of, like deadlines. I also like how I can access information about staff details and documents they've filled out all within Gusto without having to waste time navigating through Google Workspace and Google Docs. It's all kept really organized for me. Plus, Gusto's customer service is excellent; I can talk to a real person and get all of my questions answered.

**What do you dislike about Gusto?**

I wish that Gusto had a 1099 contractor invoicing system with more details available so invoicing could be automated. Right now it doesn't fit all the variable ways that my contractors invoice.

**What problems is Gusto solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Gusto is my go-to for HR compliance and payroll, keeping everything organized and giving automated reminders for compliance. It saves me time, as all staff details and documents are accessible on one intuitive platform, reducing the need to navigate through multiple tools.

**What do you like best about Gusto?**

I really appreciate that Gusto is flexible and customizable to the person or company as a whole and how they would like to use it. For instance, I really like being able to directly link my W-2 to Turbo Tax, I usually take advantage of any partnerships Gusto has with organizations or programs like Lemonade, GoodRX or pet insurance. I like the functionality as an employee of hours worked with notes you can type with each submission that shows up on your time sheet and pay stub. Finally, I like being able to add in my expenses throughout the week and personalize those submissions as needed.

**What do you dislike about Gusto?**

Some specific dislikes about gusto include being able to change my own name. I am currently not able to do this (I am not sure if all users have this or if it is set up based on my administrator), so having some form of digital verification would be a nice addition for things like this. Also, having a way that  our sick hours were actually taken out of our time sheets to show more currently, or a way of submitting that would be nice. Finally, if early payday was available to those who do not use wallet with some other incentive for using wallet, this would be nice and keep up with many businesses down this avenue.

**What problems is Gusto solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Overall, Gusto helps my company to be able to run smoother. This has happened from the beginning of our business, and we have not used anything else. We were emailing hours driven before to each other, but then decided to try using expenses tracking instead. This allowed us to input everything needed for proper mileage reimbursement without having to send another email.

**What do you like best about Gusto?**

I like that Gusto is integrated with my university's platform and is easy to access, which makes logging my hours for employment much simpler. I appreciate the accessibility and really like the interface as well. The logging hours feature and the clocking in and out tools are valuable to me. I also enjoy the happy 'day' feature.

**What do you dislike about Gusto?**

I think the planned payday feature could be improved. When I click on view more, it shows the same thing, so fixing that might help. Also, when I click on show estimated payday, I expect it to show a timeline. This feature works on my phone but not on the web browser. The connection with Plaid was a little confusing during the setup.

**What problems is Gusto solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Gusto for logging my hours for employment. It eliminates the need to submit a timecard all the time. It's integrated with my university's platform, making it easy to access.

**What do you like best about Gusto?**

I like that Gusto is easy to navigate and is very user-friendly. I'm able to find my tax documents, check my paycheck, and easily submit expenses within the app on my phone. I especially like the year-to-date pay pie chart that Gusto provides, showing payments separated into categories, which helps me see how my pay and taxes are broken out. The onboarding process with Gusto was very helpful and smooth. Our first pay period went well and everything has been working well ever since.

**What do you dislike about Gusto?**

Something that could be improved within Gusto include having Gusto remind you to update your personal information every year, which includes your home address.

**What problems is Gusto solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Gusto calculates my paychecks based on my salary, alerts me about pay cycles, ensures timely payments, and is user-friendly. I can view tax documents, submit expenses easily, and access a helpful year-to-date pay breakdown, which keeps me informed about my finances.

Gusto helped with straightforward U.S. payroll and benefits administration. Overall, it’s very straightforward to use. Whenever I have questions about my employment, I can usually find the answers somewhere on the page without needing to reach out to an administrator. The election process is also clear and easy to follow.

**What do you dislike about Gusto?**

If I get stuck, it’s not really clear where I should go or who I should talk to in order to get my questions answered. I also wish they offered more recommendations or resources to support decision-making, especially since these are important decisions to make.

**What problems is Gusto solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Gusto takes a lot of the busy administrative work off our startup’s plate. We can’t afford to have entire roles dedicated to these tasks, but they’re still really important, so the more we can remove from everyone’s day-to-day workload, the better. A ton of things work right out of the box, and it’s all pretty easy to manage.
