Trainn fits my current needs to not just show users how to use our tools, but to share with them their value.

The software has been a big buggy in some places. There also are some things that I have to do repeatedly, such as uploading the same background image for every new tutorial, since there's no option to save.

Trainn is providing me with another channel to reach users and penetrate more deeply our potential user base.

Ease of use, simple process of sharing a screen and recording.  Like the annotations and adding music.

**What do you dislike about Trainn?**

Increased reporting ability, fields are there but cant be exported.

**What problems is Trainn solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Original issue was training our customers outside of normal operating timezones.  This has been expanded for the whole customer database now.  No longer require staff to adjust hours to suit overseas timezones.  Reduced support questions.

Trainn offers a very intuitive interface for both administrators and learners. The dashboard is clean, and navigating through courses and modules is straightforward. The support team at Trainn has been exceptional. Responses are quick, and they are genuinely helpful in resolving issues or guiding us through features. They go the extra mile to ensure we're getting the most out of the platform.

**What do you dislike about Trainn?**

While there are some gamification elements, I'd love to see more advanced options and deeper integration to boost learner engagement further.

**What problems is Trainn solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Trainn provides a comprehensive, centralized platform that significantly enhances our learning initiatives. With Trainn, we are able to easily:

Standardize Training: We ensure all employees receive consistent, up-to-date training content across the organization.

Track Progress: We accurately monitor course completion, quiz scores, and overall learning progress for individuals and teams with ease.

**What do you like best about Trainn?**

Trainn has been very easy to use to build a wide range of documentation for our software. It's one of the easier tools I have used to create documentation and product demos, and it reduces a lot of the video editing process by being able to edit on the go. You don't need to re-record to add in additional parts you may have missed, and if you need to change the narration, you can quickly edit the script and save and it's changed. 

Overall, it has reduced my documentation video production from roughly 9 hours to 2 hours per video for a rather difficult software.

**What do you dislike about Trainn?**

They don't have a mobile application yet to capture videos on mobile and put them into their system, so you have to record on your mobile, then upload the video and cut it up yourself. However, the cutting tool is actually really easy to use, and within a couple of videos, it wasn't a big deal at all. It doesn't generate an AI script like it would on desktop, so you do have to write your own script for uploaded videos, but for my use case, I was doing that already.

**What problems is Trainn solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We needed to upgrade our old documentation / knowledge base with an easier to upload system so more people could create documentation and product demos as our software evolved. We wanted a more modern documentation site so we could send our customers video tutorials and walkthroughs of features to reduce the amount of calls we get around small problems that could be solved with a video.

**What do you like best about Trainn?**

Best screen-recording and streaming platform for computer application end-user training and support. Very shallow learning curve. No need for a radio-voice, good microphone or ambiance to record. Just a good script and solid screen-recording skills while reading the script. After recording, Trainn will replace your voice with a high-fidelity AI voice of choice. You can even record in your native language, then let Trainn translate the video into a target language (or publish video in multiple languages). Improve the script in post, add annotations. Then share with your audience using Trainn's streaming platform. No need to generate an mp4 and uploading it elsewhere. When edits are needed, simply edit the video, fix and republish. Even when the video is embedded in an eLearning module, the fix will be instant. Nice extras: Trainn generates a step-by-step guide underneath the video. Or create an interactive guide from the video to share. Add chapters so users can jump to a topic in the video, add closed-captions in multiple languages with a few clicks. All out-of-the box. Saves 50% to 80% of creation and maintenance time. Very quick response from support team. Easy embedding in other platforms, including eLearning software. Used by more and more departments in our organization with different use-cases.

Improvements can be made on management of large numbers of videos, a solid dictionary to aid the AI engine, support of large localization projects, a global replace function.

**What do you like best about Trainn?**

Trainn team is really responsive to our needs. Overall, most features are built well and do exactly what I need. Easy to pick up regardless of how long it has been  between uses.

**What do you dislike about Trainn?**

I have a few issues with the voice to AI voice tool - it does not split as well as the auto-generated one and it always leaves a tiny clip of my voice in each split which is difficult if not impossible to remove. I also think the zoom/spotlight features are a bit touchy so generally cannot use. I would also really like to be able to bulk download videos or bulk copy codes so that I can distribute as I need to.

We want to make more scaleable our delivery of training to new users to reduce time spent on projects.

**What do you like best about Trainn?**

My favorite part of the platform isn't the platform - its the people who run it. They are responsive to feature requests and help you adapt the tool to your use case whenever possible. I bought the tool for creating and securely sharing guides internally to help the company transition to a new software platform and it's been perfect for building and sharing my knowledgebase(s). I believe I've only used half of Trainn's functionality and have found incredible value in what I've done so far. Not once has my support team asked me to change my needs to align with their tool, they changed the tool to align with my needs. My use case is not client education, but the platform is flexible enough that I can use it as an internal, employee knowledgebase and share our SOPs securely. I have only used it for guides, but Iook forward to exploring the video tools as well.

**What do you dislike about Trainn?**

The team at Trainn responded quickly to challenges I'd experienced or frustrations I had with the platform and, when needed, updated Trainn's functionality, updated it or tweaked my settings. I can't think of anything that stands out as a "dislike." Trainn does exactly what I need it to do and they cleared my roadblocks.

My problem was that our processes were not standardized. There was no single source of information, lots of duplication of effort, and everyone did things their own way. With Trainn, we've got a single, up-to-date source of truth that will keep our processes consistent.

For anyone who's only starting to build their internal or external courses, Trainn is a grrat starting point. It's very easy to use and navigate. Making videos is also really because you don't have to record the entire thing all at once. You can do them clip by clip which makes it a lot easier compared with other platforms.

**What do you dislike about Trainn?**

I think they can add more options for quizzes. Currently, they only have multiple choice and checkboxes which are great but additional options would be perfect.

We mainly use Trainn for our internal onboarding courses and this has been working great for us.

I appreciate having a single tool that integrates content creation, management, and hosting capabilities. The platform is clean and intuitive, making content creation and editing a seamless experience. My team values the Trainn Support team's prompt and helpful assistance during our onboarding process.

Trainn has a handful of product limitations which we have needed to work around.
-Structural limitations: Course hierarchy restricted to single level
-User/learner management limitations: Limited dynamic filtering capabilities
-Default settings: Certain default configurations are not ideal or applicable I.e. clip splitting 
-Inconsistencies: Occasional bugs or network errors that occur during usage

Trainn assists with onboarding and training our new clients by providing their operators comprehensive guides on how to use our service. It enhances the efficiency of our Customer Support function by saving our CSMs time and accelerating our client onboarding process.

**What do you like best about Trainn?**

Trainn is a simplistic yet powerful tool that focuses on the most necessary features for creating engaging videos. It’s user-friendly and includes everything you need to highlight specific parts effectively. We use it for creating "how-to" videos for our users.

From the start, I’ve been impressed with the Trainn team - their communication is excellent, and they’re always quick, helpful, and ready to assist.

**What do you dislike about Trainn?**

The voiceover can sometimes sound a bit strange and robotic on certain words, but I understand this is a common limitation with tools like this. Additionally, I wish there were more flexibility in spotlighting different elements within the same scene and the ability to zoom in and out multiple times in one scene.

That said, these are minor issues, and overall, the tool is excellent for its purpose.

The number of use cases that Trainn supports makes it the only tool that product and customer success teams need for customer education. It can create walkthrough videos, voice-over videos, guides, and manuals. You can even upload videos from local and easily rearrange them. They have easy access to customer support and clarify questions over Slack.

**What do you dislike about Trainn?**

The editor has some niggles. Sometimes, the editor creates delays between the blocks of videos and needs some ironing out, which could benefit from smart refinement.

Trainn is the only video tool we use for customer onboarding, prospecting, product adoption and help. Managing a product that has a deep learning curve, Trainn helps our customers adopt to our platform better.

We have been transitioning over to Trainn for the last month or so. The ease of use for content creation and AI voice availability allows for creation anywhere in any environment. The videos are easy to assign to your learners and are easy to access. The support team has made this transition extremely smooth and gone above and beyond to get us set up and rolling.

**What do you dislike about Trainn?**

The only downside we have encountered so far is the lack of version history.

We needed a video repository that was easy to create in and organize videos so that we could create training courses for various departments within our company. It does these tasks very well.

I love the interface of the dashboard so far. We have been using multiple platforms for customer Onboarding, partner training, and for help guides. But, Trainn includes all these features under the same platform. We can able to set up customer Onboarding, Partner Training, and Video Help center, which are great! Recently, they have launched Zing where we can able to edit and share tutorial videos easily.

At the moment, I don't see any downsides of the platform, maybe the customer support can be improved.

**What do you like best about Trainn?**

Text-to-speech conversion. Without this feature, marketers-designers have to rely on voiceover artists from fiverr et al to achieve background quality narration for videos. This step alone increases the turnaround time for videos by 4-5 days at the very least. Worse yet, each modification/correction to the script can introduce a further delay of 2-3  days. With Trainn I can do any number of rewrites to the voiceover script, choose the voiceover gender, style, accent and instantly render the voiceover for my videos.

**What do you dislike about Trainn?**

The editor can be buggy at times: Highlighted UI elements go askew, the video pauses/speeds up, voiceover configurations get reset, etc. Correcting the resultant errors and (at times) re-recording the video causes delays.

**What problems is Trainn solving and how is that benefiting you?**

-Trainn helps me to quickly record and produce product walkthrough videos
-The Chrome extension makes it easy to record product screens and interactions
-For feature launches, I can use Trainn to create videos with minimal design and production effort
-Making edits and corrections requires lesser effort relatively compared to producing a fully animated video
-Trainn automatically generates voiceover for video narration. This takes away a huge load from the production effort
-Hosting/embedding the video is convenient as well. This is very convenient for marketing use cases like embedding on a help article, product page, or in a mailer campaign

**What do you like best about Trainn?**

Its ability to make a video tutorial is unmatched by what we have seen in the market. For the first time, our product team is not perturbed by the thought of making a product video. It brings in a layer of professionalism that we require and enables us to seamlessly merge the video with the subtitles to make it feel rehearsed and effortless.

**What do you dislike about Trainn?**

The video quality aspects could be more seamless and their dashboard can be improved to make it easier to visualize how the tool will lookg from the customer's perspective.

**What do you like best about Trainn?**

Definitely, the ease of use makes it a great tool for anyone working in marketing or customer-facing roles. The entire automatically gets converted to slides based on the actions you perform. Editing features are concise yet extremely helpful. Another great thing is the auto-generated text-to-speech available in different languages, tones, and voices. Sometimes all it takes is 10 minutes for me to complete a video!

**What do you dislike about Trainn?**

There's nothing much to dislike really. Very rarely, the video doesn't render on preview and we have to do the whole thing again which is a hassle but given how easy it is to edit, it doesn't feel like much work.

**What problems is Trainn solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We wanted to make videos with easy text-to-voice conversion. Trainn's voiceovers sound extremely natural and it's really as simple as typing out the script slide-by-slide. And given the volume of videos we create, Trainn's ease of use makes it possible for us to publish user-ready videos in minutes.

**What do you like best about Trainn?**

Trainn has been an excellent tool for my team and me to create training videos and walkthroughs of the essential processes within our company. There are some competitors out there, but they don't necessarily compare. I enjoy the ability that Trainn has a free plan and appreciate the great support and communication I have received when encountering an issue. While the free plan is limited, it is packed with features that make it a great tool.

At this time, there is no real downside to Trainn. There is a tiny learning curve to make videos, but once you learn it is a piece of cake!

Employee training, onboarding, and continued education has made this a game changer.

Trainn video helped us in creating walkthrough videos in minutes. It is quick and very easy to adapt. Video can be split into multiple chapters which benefits end-user to find the right content in a shorter time. As we, Increff is expanding in multiple geographies, it is easy to make videos in multi-languages along with voiceover. Apart from the features, Trainn team support is incredible.

Some of the features are at a basic level, but Trainn team is taking our feedback and incorporating it into their tool. Analytics is one of the major areas where the Trainn team can work on.

Our primary use case was to create Walk-through / Training videos of Merchandising Solutions and WMS tool for our clients. It is very simple to make videos on the Trainn application. As we are into Saas products, we keep evolving our UI/UX. It is very handy to make changes in the videos. Moreover, Trainn also helps in sharing release notes with our clients.

It is easy to create training videos for my customers and to present them as courses / academies for a Hybrid training experience. I have my customers learn from Trainn before we meet, and then we practice using my company's software together through Zoom.

The voices are too robotic for my preferences, but I am happy that I can record my own voice/video while I share my screen to add a personal touch for my customers.

It is helpful for the user to demonstrate the platform more clearly rather than making the process flow in a document, the Robotic voice explanation will be beneficial for the learner to understand the flow. The learner could be created, certificate could be issued at the end of assignments.

Nothing, this product is excellent. Obisouvously editing process will take time, but the output will satisfy. Excellent product, user friendly. Found no bugs......

Unilimted number of creators.  We have onboarded our Entire Product, Pre sales ,Customer Support and implementaion team in the tool.

For Marketing, We may have to rely on some other platform for running live webinar.   Hope to see those Marketing focused features in a couple years in this tool.

Product training for Customers.  As an Enterprise targeted product with a significant learning curve, We have to continously train the new users and exisitng users for the smoother adoption.  Trainn videos acts as a first level help guide for users.  Users can learn by themselves at any point of time which offers a smoother experience to them. 

Video is million times better than product guide texts.  Also the option to change the Voice over accent and the subtitle feature help us to cater our Global customers in a better way.

We needed a tool to easily create training and support videos in multiple languages despite our English-only support staff. Trainn's unique functionality for screen capture + video + closed captions + natural sounding text to speech was the perfect combination for our needs. Other vendors in the space did a solid job with 2 of 3 requirements, but not all four.  Additionally, I can't say enough about their excellent support.

We would like a few more options for the presentation design of the collections. They have made great strides to make it easier for us to create a platform walkthrough in English and then translate, but it might be easier with a more formalized "translate template" feature set.

We can now provide comprehensive onboarding, training, and support in multiple languages. We would not have been able to grow this quickly without the Trainn platform.

Auto-Generated audio is the best feature! Not robotic and as natural as it can get.
Ability to exit an existing snippet and update a small block without needing to retake the video is a huge time saver.
The ability to use a snapshot/slides to update or insert snippets in between is super cool.
The team is super helpful when assistance is needed.
Hands down simpler than Loom and other video editing tools.

Advanced features like academy need a bit of hand-holding to start using. Hope it gets more intuitive as the product matures.
Screen recording on desktop vs Trainn extension has a different feature set and takes time to get used.

The interface is very intuitive and easy to learn. I could create my first video under 5 minutes.

- Videos are recorded right from the browser through an extension and blocks are automatically created based on interactions such as clicks and text entries.
Creatives like flow charts and block diagrams can easily be inserted into the video. 

- Text description can be added to each block, which is seamlessly converted to speech. There's a wide range of voices to choose from.
With little effort, intonation can be applied to the voice to sound more human-like. 

- Chapters can be created in the video, so users can jump straight to sections they need help with.

- If we make any changes in the application like adding a new feature or enhancement, updating the help video with those changes is very easy. 

- The video player can be easily embedded into the product itself. Right now our entire in-app help section is powered by Trainn.

- Analytics dashboard is pretty advanced. Details like overall engagement time, average time per user etc can be tracked.

- Video player doesn't have a feedback collection mechanism like the "like/dislike" buttons or prompt at the end of the video like "Was this video helpful to you?".
