We use Gruntworx, as integrated into Drake Tax, in order to get all of our client's trade info in fast and without error. **What do you dislike about Gruntworx?** Gruntworx is not economical for all clients. Sometimes it is just easier to import trades from a CSV or Excel spreadsheet instead of using the service. **What problems is Gruntworx solving and how is that benefiting you?** How to import trade data from multiple sources when all you have is a PDF to go by. Instead of manually entering in the data, Gruntworx will do it for you. ### 2. Time Saver **Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars **Reviewed by:** Cheryl R. | CPA **Reviewed Date:** June 21, 2022 **What do you like best about Gruntworx?** Gruntworx provides an easy to use product that speeds up tax preparation by eliminating data input of basic tax forms. **What do you dislike about Gruntworx?** This year the price doubled if you wanted timely service. **What problems is Gruntworx solving and how is that benefiting you?** By not having to input basic data from forms more time could be concentrated on how to help reduce tax liability vs. input. ### 4. With the 637 pages of tax forms I processed so far this tax season and 900 stock trades, there were 3-4 numbers that extracted incorrectly. A professional review of the numbers will catch these rare problems. **What do you dislike about Gruntworx?** I have used Gruntworx on both Thomson Reuters UltraTax and Intuit's Lacerte. The process does not work as easily with Lacerte. For example, Lacerte's tax form payer name has a limited number of characters. If you exceed that number, then the import will not work. **Recommendations to others considering Gruntworx:** A trial is easy **What problems is Gruntworx solving and how is that benefiting you?** The greatest benefit is speed and simplicity. If a client provides a large volume of forms, then it can require alot of hours to manually input. Gruntworx performs these tasks more quickly and efficiently. Gruntworx also provides error checking that I cannot easily perform -- confirming the social security number on the scanned forms matches the taxpayer, and insures the forms for the correct tax year were scanned. ### 5. Currently, they have no plan to fix this issue.
