What do you like best?

Grow has many automatic connections for your data sources and many 1-click, pre-built metrics so it takes no time at all to get up and running and build your first dashboard. The interface is intuitive but very powerful. There are so many ways to display and slice your data. It is very easy to share dashboard with users and to give users varying levels of permission. Visually, it is stunning and it get people talking and thinking. For our department, it was just what we needed to bring marketing, programs and finance together. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike?

The connection with Marketo is not as stable and we were hoping. This is due mostly to Marketo's rate limit and the shear amount of data the Marketo API has to pull. If you keep you calls small (7-14 days at a time) or upload weekly static smartlists instead, it works fine. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

Our marketing teams can now see the impact of impact of campaigns and promotions immediately and the programs teams can see all the marketing efforts that go on to increase enrollment and participation on our programs. This has allowed these two groups to work together much betters, each understanding the role the other plays. This has also allowed us to adjust our budgets at a program-level and be much more agile as a team. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best?

Grow is a very powerful, yet simple product to use to solve problems, visualize the company health, and allow for informed decision-making. It allows you to pull data in from practically any software, and compare against each other in various metric styles. The customer support is one of the best in industry - not only do they quickly solve the problems and concerns you have, they will also provide best practice advice to help the users develop their Grow skills. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike?

Grow has released a few powerful new feature releases over the years, and they can be very resource-heavy to implement. Although the new features are very useful and important to implement, you have to consider how much time you are willing to contribute to overhaul dashboards & datasets in order to implement. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

With Grow, we have been able to pull, compare and display data from every software and data source we use at our company. This has allowed us to have confidence in knowing company and departmental health at any given moment, and provided us with the resources to improve our decision making. We are able to share the progress of projects, and effectiveness of various implementations throughout the departments of our organization. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best?

From my point of view, it should be noted that I love this software in large proportions, because it is totally easy to use, mentioning that its functions are scalable. And also that the business growth program of its user is fantastic. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike?

It would be amazing if this software supported an increase in the count of the integrations being encouraged, rather than reducing them. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Recommendations to others considering the product:

This product has solved big problems that used to arise before, since increasing the visualization of data on a large scale was of great proportion, including the possibility of adding dashboards to each of our clients. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

I recommend it for companies that acquire thousands of panels and require an alignment of the team's objectives for a clean strategic decision, that is, Grow.com, is the best for its great intelligence in the business field, achieving training. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best?

When stakeholders want advanced metrics and data based on our Salesforce database, I hated going to Salesforce because reporting is so limited. Anything outside of the limited feature set would have to be done manually in Excel. With Grow, you can simply do so much more. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike?

It was a little unintuitive at first, but after a little trial & error I got it figured out. Would love some more help articles and example articles (e.g., "how to get the most common [sales/customer success/revenue/etc.] metrics out of your CRM data"). Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

Like mentioned above, I'm getting way more insights from our data than I was able to squeeze out of Salesforce. We're already acting on the data I'm getting out of here and I've only been using for 2 weeks. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best?

We really like how we can merge multiple data sources into one graphical metric that shows the key information we want to see. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike?

Their software has been greatly enhanced since we first started using Grow but one of they features we have been asking for since the beginning they still haven't rolled out. We would love if the dots or lines in some of the chart types had conditional formatting. Meaning that if the number is above a certain point then make the line green but if the data is below a certain number then make it red etc...

Also, we feel that the software is really expensive. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

We use Grow to keep track of our teams efficiency. We have it pulling data from Google Sheets and LiquidPlanner into several very easy to read graphs that show if we are ahead of schedule or behind schedule as well as several other metrics. Our team looks at this information daily. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best?

I like the automatic API connections to so many data sources and the ease of use to create meaningful and visual data representations. We have been impressed with how our employees have reacted to being accountable for scores and metrics that are visually available to all team members. Once they understand the accountability and who is responsible for which metrics, productivity has increased and people enjoy their jobs better and understand how to improve their performance to increase their standing in the company. I like being able to take raw data from QuickBooks Online that typically you can only see in a basic report, spreadsheet, or simple chart, and transform that data to mean something visually to our organization. The most exciting metric I built was centered around cash flow and liabilities to show the heartbeat of our organization. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike?

I don't like that the app on Android does not work well. Other than that the software is great and I would highly recommend it to anyone. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Recommendations to others considering the product:

Do the trial to get the full understanding of what the product is capable of. Pricing can be scary until you understand how you can build metrics and combine data. It is important to realize the impact visualizing data can have on your business. Grow allows you to connect to data sources and then daily visualize your business. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

Solving problems of manually looking up data on spreadsheets to evaluate business strategy or metrics. Grow allows us to visually see data real-time. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike?

UNRELIABLE: I just spend hours building a Dataset for a Dashboard. Then it startet to crash – and all I did just got deleted. Hours of work just gone. Not once - but 5 times.

SLOW: They have the slowest spreadsheet I have ever seen. It takes 3-4 seconds just to open a field to look up a formula. Saving an entry (formula) also takes 3-4 seconds. That is so frustrating. It takes forever to build something meaningful. I have a fiber connection (>1GB). So it is not the connection.

BUGGY: When you hit save it does not mean that it actually gets saves. Sometimes it just doesn't save and all I did was lost.

LOCK-IN: The Base-Price is $1000 / Month and they only sell subscriptions for an entire year. I guess otherwise they all their customers will leave after a month. With this model they just lock you in for an entire year.

I have written to their support and will update here whether they can fix it or not. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best?

Grow's unique Mongo connector has great performance and it's a massive selling point that not many other BI tools can even compete with. We are also huge fans of the editor- it ain't pretty but it works really well and the new version has incredible performance! Just incredible work and passion went into to making it and it really shows though. We also appreciate that Grow does not charge per "seat" which is an absolute sham that other companies try to pull. Because of all this, Grow a perfect fit for our company. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike?

1. The UI doesn't have much of a visual hierarchy that would make it more fluent to navigate.

2. The pricing is too high! I know there are costs but our db is doing the real work with the aggregations. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Recommendations to others considering the product:

Grow is a modern tool that works extremely well. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

Grow is the best way to gain insight into our data. Instead of implementing a charts library on our admin console, we are able to have a "separation of concerns" between BI and Admin, allowing us to keep the admin tool size to a minimum. To a small extent, some of our more data driven employees are able to create reports themselves. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best?

I love that it auto populates and once a metric is setup I never have to touch it again and I get all the insights of our business at a glance. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike?

As someone who lives in spreadsheets, there are some funcationality that is easy to do in a spreadsheet that I find cumbersome to sort out in the setup of different metrics and data sets. Would be cool if a lot of the same formula functions from excel/google sheets translated well in this format. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Recommendations to others considering the product:

Expect some time getting to know the platform, I almost think it will be easier for folks to use who don't have a lot of spreadsheet experience because it will seem more intuitive. If you are used to writing long formulas and complicated calculations, Grow can do it, it just may take you some time to learn how which can be a little frustrating at first if you know how to handily do it in a spreadsheet. However, it is TOTALLY worth it though because you only have to do it once and grow imports your live data so your metrics are always up to date without any work on your part. Totally genius. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

I can see visually where our business is and integrate data from three different sources without any manual entry or maintenance of a spreadsheet. We're pulling data from T Sheets, google sheets, and Quickbooks and integrating that data together so that I have a solid pulse on our business. ALSO it s saves me a ton of time in reporting as I can automate a lot of the weekly reports I was creating pre grow. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best?

Grow supports integration with a broad range of data sources, including some not offered by other major players in the business intelligence (BI) space. The user interface is clean, intuitive, and powerful. Support team is quick to respond to questions and issues. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike?

Grow appears to be client-side intensive which can result in lagging and slow response times if you're attempting to edit metrics on a lower-end machine. When you create a new metric from a dataset all reports within the dataset are copied over. I would prefer to be able to select one so I don't have to manually delete all the reports I don't need. I would love to be able to create metric templates so I can change the template and all metrics based on it would change. We have 50+ metrics that are identical except for the employee they belong to. If we want to make a change we have to change all 50 metrics manually, one at a time. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Recommendations to others considering the product:

Hard to beat the price for unlimited users. We're using Grow for Data Visualization. We have yet to delve into other areas of business intelligence, e.g. predictive and prescripive analytics. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

Grow has been a game-changer for us. We are implementing Gino Wickman's Traction EOS (Entrepreneurial Operating System) which calls for every employee and team to have specific metrics they report on. Grow has enabled us to meet that goal. We now have unprecedented real-time visibility into our operations and are notifying team members of issues they never had access to before. We are calculating gross and net sales and slicing that data for various departments and providing it in real-time. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best?

1. Grow can connect to a huge number of data sources, from marketing to databases to financial data.

2. It's far easier to make charts based on multiple sources in Grow than in any other tool I've tried. It allows you to transform, mix and match your data to get just the type of reporting you need.

3. The dashboards and charts simply look great. When you're trying to tell a story through data, this matters. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike?

Pretty minor but Grow is missing a few extra options for controlling how charts look, the axis labels etc that could make life easier. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Recommendations to others considering the product:

I recommend doing the free trial and trying to learn the logic of building metrics (charts) in Grow. Once you are familiar with the concepts, it becomes extremely powerful and allows you to create visualizations and combine data in ways that would take tons of code or manual work to achieve. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

Grow is at first a bit hard to grasp, but once you get the hang of it - it allows for much more than conventional Dashboard software can offer.

To speed of the process it’s good to know, their capable staff is always at your disposal when need it. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike?

Grow is quite expensive; one of the most expensive cloud based software used by our company and therefore not very accessible. A shame, as I think many startups could benefit from the good it does. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Before choosing software such as Grow, make sure to identify why and what you want to measure & track. Grow is an excellent piece of software, but rather useless if you don't know why you’d use it for. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best?

Grow has built-in connectors to just about every SaaS tool that we use, and our engineers were able to wire up a custom integration for our own internal tooling. Other BI tools expect you to find ways to connect your data sources which can be cumbersome and expensive. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike?

A few aspects of the software can be a bit buggy at times, but the frustration is nothing compared to what I had when I was trying to use other BI tools. Grow isn't perfect, but it's head and shoulders above the rest. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best?

Although they're still working out occasional performance issues, Grow is a robust analytics dashboard solution with a wide array of marketing platform integrations that serve our needs most of the time. They continually make updates and improvements to their metrics builder experience, reducing the learning curve and helping us get new dashboards spun up easier/faster. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike?

I don't envy the task of Grow's dev team in the performance department. Platform performance is definitely an issue that they're aware of and are making continual improvements. And if you're working with huge data sets, pack a lunch. That said, I imagine this is pretty common among BI platforms. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

In the world of marketing, keeping a close eye on what's working across a variety of channels is paramount. And as the number of channels increases, the task of monitoring and reporting gets infinitely harder, especially if doing it manually. Grow has given us the ability to extend our services with a robust marketing dashboard offering, which allows us to deliver more value to customers. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best?

The platform is fairly turnkey, and the support teams are pretty great at responding quickly to inquiries and helping you solve how to join data to present it in a meaningful way. It's an amazing stopgap for companies that are small to medium sized that don't currently store than own data in a data warehouse or have access to the more advanced report building features of GA360 and Google Query. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike?

If you need custom reports on a consistent basis, the platform isn't always well suited depending on how much information you need to edit. We actually moved into a template system, but because Grow is evolving their platform so quickly, we're finding that things increasingly break.

It can also be a little slow at peak times if you're not storing items in their data warehouse. A lot of our data happens to fall into that category, but it's strictly because there would be a sizable effort to convert our templates over to that new format that wasn't available when we first became a customer. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Recommendations to others considering the product:

If you need to move behind manually compiling reports, and your reporting needs are fairly consistent, then this product is fantastic.

If you need custom reporting for very specific pages that launch on a fairly frequent basis, then it may not be for you. But they do have template options available for certain account tiers, so it really just depends on how specific your needs are. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

Grow helped us almost instantaneously deliver more meaningful updates at a much faster pace to our wider teams. The visibility we gained on items like campaign performance and individual page traffic really helped us guide big decisions and a much faster clip than we had been able to before. We were in a major growth mode and had outgrown our manual report pulls, and this solved this problem in a major way. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
