Easy to use interface. All roles can easily understand how to use it, very fast to learn even for a novice; 2. Strong version control feature. Capable of manging multiple versions. Translations can be aligned and synced across versions easily. 3. Able to set multiple languages as the source languge, and the outofdate logic of the target translations help us to filter the strings for translation update. 4. Prompt support. Sometimes, some startup companies want to buy the seats, but the minimum seats for sale is 10. I like that Gridly helps us manage marketing texts for Angry Birds Dream Blast in 15 different languages, keeping track of everything effortlessly. The filter function is a lifesaver for finding all necessary content quickly. Creating my own view tailored to my needs is a huge plus, simplifying my workflow by allowing me to focus only on the English character limits while the translation agency handles the rest. It's one of those reliable tools that, once you implement it into your daily routine, makes you question why you'd ever go back. Plus, our team has different views that work for everyone, from the agency to the admin, making it incredibly adaptable for our specific needs. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com. What do you dislike about Gridly? When I started using it, I had to import old spreadsheets into Gridly. When I used the sheets, I used to insert new rows at the top. With Gridly, you can only do it at the bottom, so the chronology is messed up. This one is specific to Google Chrome on MacOS. I use my laptop's trackpad with two fingers to go left and right to reveal new columns. Often when I go all the way to the left (first columns) what happens is that I go so far that the browser triggers the back button, meaning going to the previously visited website. Ease of access to any translation grid. Ability to see references and compare translations in other languages in real time. Convenient Q&A tools. Reliable and simple ticket system that allows asking questions and receiving answers easily, with media support. User friendly interface that explains everything without crowding the main work area. Not much, apart from the lack of options to customize the personal experience (visual/functional settings for individual users). Since this is due to the inherent design of the product, it doesn't really bother me. One other lacking feature is the ability to track progress of your translation work. Gridly is the best experience I've had with a CMS. I like its spreadsheet-like interface, which makes it pretty easy to use. The customer support is great, they are always actively working on any improvement we need. Gridly really makes it easy to collaborate with everyone in your organization. It's intuitive and powerful. I did not like that Gridly did not ship on release with all of the same features I frequently used in its predecessor Loc Direct. One of the standout features of Gridly is its flexibility. It is very easy to add, remove or change the setup of a grid. Ability to have different views for different tasks is also very useful but the best is responsiveness of the team and adding new features allowing for more and more automations. For example, as part of my workflow I combine specific views with only up-to-date strings with automated exports of the files to update external translation CAT tool. With relatively complex team composition in our organization, this is important to us. We have learned to use workarounds but solid warning handling would be helpful. What I like best about Gridly is how it bridges the gap between a standard spreadsheet and a robust CMS. Managing multi-channel marketing content and customer support scripts used to be chaotic. Gridly’s grid-based interface makes it incredibly easy to track localization, update content statuses, and collaborate with the team in real-time. While Gridly is fantastic for organizing structured data, the rich-text editing capabilities within individual cells can feel a bit limited for content creators. When drafting long-form social media posts or blog snippets, I miss having more robust formatting options directly in the grid. Before Gridly, we struggled with managing multi-channel social media campaigns across scattered spreadsheets, which often led to version control issues and publishing errors. Not only a translation tool, the intuitive grid setup and the API connection means we now also use it publish various types of content directly into our games, such as News and Competitions. Views, filters, searches and access controls makes it our preferred grid tool, over Google Sheets in many cases. The Gridly team is also very helpful.
