  ### 3. Cut Through the Noise: How GreyNoise Helps Focus on What Really Matters"

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** David M. | Analista de Processos, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 09, 2025

**What do you like best about GreyNoise?**

What we like most is the clarity and practicality with which GreyNoise provides context for network traffic. The ability to quickly differentiate between benign internet activity (like automated scanners) and potential

**What do you dislike about GreyNoise?**

So far, we haven’t found any significant drawbacks. We just wish there were more native integrations with some specific tools in our ecosystem, but this doesn’t hinder usage.

**What problems is GreyNoise solving and how is that benefiting you?**

GreyNoise is primarily solving the problem of excessive false positives and wasted time analyzing irrelevant traffic in our environment. Previously, our security team spent countless hours investigating alerts triggered by common internet activity — such as automated scans and bots — that posed no real threat to us.

With GreyNoise, we can quickly identify and confidently dismiss this kind of “noisy” traffic, allowing us to focus only on incidents that truly require action.

This has brought us several benefits, including:

Significant time savings for analysts, who can now concentrate on real threats.

Reduced stress and fatigue caused by alert overload.

Greater efficiency and speed in our triage and incident response processes.

Better prioritization of SOC resources, leading to a more mature and proactive security posture.

  ### 4. GreyNoise Makes My Job Easier by Telling Me What Not to Worry About

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 08, 2025

**What do you like best about GreyNoise?**

What I like best about GreyNoise is how it filters out background internet noise, helping me focus only on actionable threats. It’s like having a global radar that tells me whether an IP is scanning everyone or just targeting me. I really appreciate the real-time context it provides around suspicious activity — it saves me hours of manual analysis.

**What do you dislike about GreyNoise?**

Sometimes GreyNoise can be a bit limiting if you're not subscribed to its full feature set, especially when trying to do deeper threat hunting. The UI, while functional, could be more intuitive for newer analysts. Also, there are moments when attribution data feels sparse — I find myself cross-referencing with other platforms like Shodan or VirusTotal.

**What problems is GreyNoise solving and how is that benefiting you?**

GreyNoise helps me reduce alert fatigue by telling me which IP addresses are simply scanning the internet indiscriminately — not actually attacking us. This difference is very important for putting threats in order of importance, and it has made my team's response time to incidents much faster. Without GreyNoise, we’d spend far more time chasing irrelevant alerts and misidentifying noise as signal.

  ### 5. GreyNoise Intelligence: internet noise filtering for threat prioritization

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Luca P. | Chief Operations Officer DEQUA Studio | Formerly CTO in MarTech, Marketing and Advertising, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 06, 2025

**What do you like best about GreyNoise?**

▪️ Filters out internet background noise, tagging IPs by behavior and threat context.

▪️ Real-time monitoring of global scan activity and emerging threats.

▪️ Integrates with SIEM, SOAR, TIP, and offers a robust API.

▪️Features for historical IP analysis and pattern recognition.

**What do you dislike about GreyNoise?**

▪️ UI can be complex; key info sometimes hard to find.

▪️Limited integration with niche or legacy tools.

▪️No native remediation; API customization can be challenging.

▪️Pricing may be high for smaller teams.

**What problems is GreyNoise solving and how is that benefiting you?**

GreyNoise has helped me address the challenge of constant alert fatigue by filtering out the bulk of irrelevant internet scans and background noise. This means I am not distracted by generic or harmless activity and can focus my attention where it actually matters. The additional context and enrichment GreyNoise provides for IP addresses make my investigations more efficient and accurate, as I spend less time chasing false positives.

👉 Overall, this has streamlined my SOC workflow, allowing me to prioritize and respond to real threats more effectively.

  ### 6. GreyNoise Turns Raw Internet Noise into Laser‑Focused Security Insights

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 30, 2025

**What do you like best about GreyNoise?**

The standout for me is how GreyNoise transforms random scanning traffic into a live “background soundtrack” I can replay against my own logs—an instant reality check on whether my EDR and firewall rules are tuned correctly. I save entire afternoons because the platform tags commodity scanners and exploitation frameworks the moment they hit the wire, so I can zero in on anomalies that aren’t just internet chatter.

**What do you dislike about GreyNoise?**

Once you start monitoring multiple subsidiaries, the dashboard struggles—tenant‑level roll‑ups are tucked away and CSV export becomes the only realistic way to build enterprise reports. Role‑based access is still coarse; I can’t give our MSSP “read‑only except tags” without burning a full seat. Cloud‑specific noise (think ephemeral AWS scanner fleets) sometimes lags, forcing me to check Shodan or Censys for the last mile of context.

**What problems is GreyNoise solving and how is that benefiting you?**

GreyNoise slices 35–50 % of pure “internet weather” out of my SIEM, so my SOC spends time on threats aimed at us, not the whole planet. By continuously validating that our controls fire on the meaningful 1 % of traffic, it turns security from a quarterly audit into a living process and gives me measurable assurance before every board meeting.

  ### 7. Reliable, effective and very active

**What do you like best about GreyNoise?**

I’ve found it to be extremely reliable in detecting adware, ransomware and viruses. It is always up to date on new malware circulating online.

**What do you dislike about GreyNoise?**

It is not major, but sometimes it can weigh down the operating system during scanning.

**What problems is GreyNoise solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Alert and protection against all kinds of malicious websites and hosting out there trying to get our info.

  ### 8. A game changer for threat hunting

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Utkarsh K. | Project Manager, International Trade and Development, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 08, 2025

**What do you like best about GreyNoise?**

At BSI we constantly deal with a high level of complex threat landscape. This is where GreyNoise helped us to cut through the internet background traffic security and detection. I love how it speeds up the process around detection and investigation and helps us reduce false positives in our SIEM. Quite easy to integrate with copilot which massively helped.

**What do you dislike about GreyNoise?**

No complaints as such, occasionally we run into IPs or scanning behaviour that isnt tagged or lacks full context. less scope of customisation around threat detection and anomaly limits the use case. Customer service is decent and could be better.

**What problems is GreyNoise solving and how is that benefiting you?**

At BSI, the major problems we faced were of alert overload caused by irrelevant internet scans. We ended up wasting a lot of time in hunting, analysing and investigating IP which turned out to be a cost heavy process. With Greynoise, it helps us in instantly eliminate all the delay with its accuracy and strong intelligent backend detection. It saves us cost and time and helps us prioritise threats which actually needs a response.

  ### 9. Great and reliable vulnerability scanner

**Reviewed Date:** June 08, 2025

**What do you like best about GreyNoise?**

What I like most about GreyNoise is its ability to give real-time visibility into threats targeting our organization from the external internet, especially social media, the dark web, and impersonating domains. It genuinely feels like having a security analyst working 24/7, surfacing things our internal tools would never catch. The escalated alerts also helps my team to rapidly prioritize actual threats without wasting time on false positives and I personally value the committed assistance from GreyNoise, since it helps to optimize our alerting and reduce noise.

**What do you dislike about GreyNoise?**

The UI can be quite confusing and complex to understand at first, especially when trying to navigate historical alert data or set custom filters. Setting up policies and rules was initially frustrating until I relied more on my TAM and the training materials. Additionally, the custom date range feature in reports is clunky and slows down my workflow unnecessarily.

**What problems is GreyNoise solving and how is that benefiting you?**

GreyNoise helps me detect and respond to threats across the public attack surface like fake social media accounts, malicious lookalike domains, and leaked credentials and without having to manually search for them. It’s also solved our pain point around monitoring executive impersonations and automated the takedown process, which used to consume our legal team’s time and since we started using the tool, we’ve gone from being reactive to threats to proactively reporting to stakeholders before any damage can occur. I've explored alternatives like Recorded Future and Digital Shadows, but GreyNoise’s ease of reporting and responsiveness of support has made it my preferred choice.

  ### 11. Makes threat detection simple
