What do you like best about Graylog?

The reason why I recommend Graylog is because it has that feasibility and a powerful log management tool comes with user friendly interface which acts as a centralised log server.

I am using it to capture all my web servers logs that enhances my performance and productivity to analyse n capture logs so efficiently. The better part we can categories the logs based on the severity and create our on customised dashboard as per the requirement. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Perfect for log management and subsequent investigation of security incidents or crashes"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Graylog?

Thanks to this centralized log management system, I can install with simplicity and immediacy in production environments belonging to clients who expressly prohibit, due to internal security policies, the installation of third-party software on their virtual machines, a workaround for proactive monitoring of triggers and issues through powerful log parsing using Linux-based search tools like egrep regular expressions.

It is necessary to expose multiple ports to be able to receive data and logs from multiple virtual machines, which creates confusion in cluster environments with hundreds if not thousands of nodes to monitor. The communication of syslogs should be reviewed, perhaps through a syslog proxy exposed on a unique TCP or UDP port. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Graylog?

The initial setup is not the simplest because the system, although distributed in a single Java package, requires tuning and input configurations to allow ElasticSearch to receive and store data correctly. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Threat protection, simple logging and easy collection with Graylog Enterprise"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Graylog?

As an analyst I need to visualize records and costs in a simple and optimal way. Graylog presents me with a complete history at the touch of a button which is really useful for my work, the dashboard is very intuitive and it is very easy to navigate between all its custom functions. The fact that the open source code is written in Java and that Graylog offers me the opportunity to pay for it on a monthly basis as I get my daily volume makes it a very accessible program for me and my team. I created the extended logging format GLEF and I chose it over other programs like Splunk or Elastic Stack. Graylog supports any operating system. I love its version for Windows and Ubuntu because it can be integrated with linux, which makes it easier for me to program in Java. The data collection is quite optimal, the GELF/UDP was really a success for this company in general. The integration of open source with AWS Kinesis and Palo Alto Network makes it a very versatile tool and I like to be able to use it for different projects. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Graylog?

To run different documents in different formats I have to run different entries i.e. create a new document which is quite a lot of work for me. If you don't use Linux it's quite difficult for me to work, but you should run a window server to make it easier for those who operate in Microsoft. It requires a lot of resources in the CPU to run it completely. The program consumes a lot of memory and you should use an optimal computer with at least 8 cores. Negative point that the software may have is the system uncertain circumstances, its servers may fail and it may be harmful if the data is uploaded or something is being downloaded, support is aware and the system is improved, Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

4.5/5
What do you like best about Graylog?

I like its great flexibility, it is a good tool that works very well and is simple, easy to install and has a great graphical interface that is quite intuitive, and the function of collecting records is not difficult to use, one of the aspects that most I liked it is its ability to capture the sequence of records and analyze and collect, it is and will continue to be a very powerful tool. What do you dislike about Graylog?

The negative of this tool is that it is necessary to have Java to be able to use it, and taking into account that Java will no longer be available very soon, then they should be implemented in another way so that its use is more pleasant. It's the only thing I don't like and I feel that they should improve over time. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Graylog high quality platform to efficiently store centralized log files."
4/5
What do you like best about Graylog?

Graylog is a tool that provides a single, centralized system of messages from different sources such as: operating systems, application servers and information systems. Graylog has a great log history search and alert system with atSistemas that allows users to discover how to implement solutions in complex environments, with graylog we have been able to implement very complete solutions to all our systems in the most efficient way, with all the years that I have worked with this platform in our organization I can say with much strength that Graylog is a fast alternative, affordable and viable for our diverse needs of use, in all the years of experience I have working with different software I had never known one as functional as Graylog, in conclusion I consider Graylog to be the best experience you can have when working as it is a very accurate and complete tool to perform thousands of tasks to the systems that make up our organization. What do you dislike about Graylog?

One of the factors that limit many people from working with graylog is the price of its service, but personally I think that in order to have software that provides a good service it is necessary to pay a high cost, I would really like graylog developers to evaluate the price of their service and provide much more accessible prices, so that people can acquire Graylog with much more confidence and peace of mind. It is also necessary for people who want to purchase Graylog to have a small training course or tutorial so that they can use the software correctly and use it very efficiently. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Graylog?

What I did not like is that sometimes it can be something confusing that can even spoil the records, in addition to sometimes it can be difficult to use some functions, which can cost a lot of time, also the way to collect the records is not very good , I think I should improve that part a bit, to make it much better.
