"Nice and Easy"
5/5
What do you like best about Grapher?

With Grapher it is very easy and quick to make nice, elegant and high quality scientific graphs. There are plenty of fitting options, and you can put your own as well. Real histograms and ternay plots are other differentials. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Grapher?

I really like this software, I use it since the DOS times. If I MUST do assign something I'm not so confortable, I would say that is when using with small monitor. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Best graphing program I've ever used (since 1998)"
5/5
What do you like best about Grapher?

The flexibility of the software in producing different types of graphs, and the flexibility of the software in setting up the appearance of the graphs concerned. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Grapher?

The only lack I've ever found in Grapher is the inability to set up spatial x-y graphs of data and not being able to make analog measurements of the resulting array. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Mapviewer allows me to make graphics in minutes!"
5/5
What do you like best about Grapher?

I really like the speed of the software and how easy it is to make a graphic. The interface is very intuitive and easy to use. The documentation of the software is very complete: the PDF manual is excellent and the help of Grapher also. I would like to include examples made by users. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Grapher?

The worksheet needs more options (some basic Microsoft Excel has as hide or show columns and also immobilize rows or columns). Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Grapher?

How easily it links to XLS files, and when those files are updated, that Grapher figures instantly change when you reopen Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Grapher?

Can't save to an older version of Grapher. (e.g. with Grapher 12, I can't save a file, that a Grapher 8 user can open) Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Great software for creating graphs"
5/5
What do you like best about Grapher?

I very much like the versatility of the software, that I have the freedom to change/modify almost anything I want according to my wishes. I also like the fact that can easly handle large amounts of data (thounds of rows as raw data handled without any problems). Also, the fact the you can export in almost any format and my favorite is pdf vector. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Grapher?

The fact that the raw data, imported in grapher from an excel file, once lost you lose the whole graps. I would prefer to only carry one file, i.e. grapher and not having to care about the excel file. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Grapher - A step up from excel"
3.5/5
What do you like best about Grapher?

Grapher has the necessary tools to create report quality graphs. It is more flexible than a simple tool such as excel and can incorporate scripting to automate graph/figure generation. When used properly grapher can result in significant time savings and a professional looking product. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Grapher?

Grapher becomes cumbersome when linked to a large number of files when opening and saving. There have been some limitations on right hand justifying text which is a minor irritation when creating figure title blocks. The learning curve for grapher is also steeper when compared to something like excel, how it less complicated than using a programming language such as R to generate graphs. "Mixed Review"
3.5/5
What do you like best about Grapher?

Plenty of options to get the perfect graph. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Grapher?

Over-elaborate platform, non-intuitive. The full story is in the next box which should have been the first box. I hate writing in boxes on surveys and grant applications. I don't like the lack of formatting and I don't like having to follow your agenda. You should just ask for opinions in a free-form submission and then pick out the likes and dislikes with proper context.

So, I dislike the format of this questionaire :-) Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Simple-Easy to use-Professional looking Graphics"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Grapher?

I like to use Grapher when generating plot in which i will need to blow out a specific area for more detail. Grapher does that impeccably while you get to maintain the overall clean appearance. I also recently discovered that the polynomial fit in Grapher goes to the power of 10, which in my case was very much needed for better statistics. Additionally, you get to export the statistic report in a word (docsx) format which is easy to access afterwards. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Grapher?

Bar charts are a little more difficult for me to use in grapher then they are in excel. if you figure it out though, the graph will look more professional as you get to modify fonts type, size, for the axis and graph title in grapher. You can also use superscript and subscripts in the axis and graph titles which excel does not let you do. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Grapher Review - Environmental Science Applications"
5/5
What do you like best about Grapher?

Grapher offers excellent ability to access and display various data sources. It also provides some of the best and most intuitive statistical analyses and display options for my applications. I started with this program (and Surfer) during my early doctoral work when it was first released back in the 1980's. Over the last 30 years, I've tried various other scientific analyses and graphing packages. Grapher consistently provided the best combination of ease of use and sophisticated graphical display. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Grapher?

The ability to customize graphics designs is excellent, but periodically entails a lot of time to get the style consistent across all elements. It would be useful to be able to change the style, font, size, etc... of all features at once, or have a recommended design implemented automatically through AI or even set templates. What do you like best about Grapher?

quick plots. easy formatting. extremely flexible formatting. everything can be manually tweaked. If you can imagine a figure, you can make it with Grapher. And if Grapher can't do it, they will by the next release...extremely good tech support and they listen to user input. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Grapher?

honestly, nothing. I guess when I borrowed a Mac for a couple of weeks it didn't work on that... Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
