"An extremely powerful analytical tool"
5/5
What do you like best about Grapher?

The best feature is the easy to use interface, which is very intuitive and easy to pick up without many lessons. The scripting function that comes with Golden Software and particularly for Grapher, makes creating bulk workflow easy. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Grapher?

There is truthfully nothing I dislike about Grapher, although maybe having a back up file system would help, like Microsoft use with their office suite. A few times I have made large changes accidentally using scripter and can't go back. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"A package for producing professional plots"
5/5
What do you like best about Grapher?

The immediate and personal support from Golden Software.

The total control that Grapher Properties Window provides to produce professional looking plots.

Every version number includes a major new feature - this time in v13 it is Piper Plots. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Grapher?

Some important features are a bit hidden e.g. the enhanced curve fitting capability. I have suggested that curve fitting deserves its own tab and should be able to be added to the Quick Access Toolbar. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Excellent graphing tool that provides power analytical tools"
5/5
What do you like best about Grapher?

The best function of Grapher and other Golden Software programs for me has been their inbuilt scripting tool, which makes it fast and easy to produce multiple graphs, plots or input unique data. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Grapher?

I can honestly say that there hasn't been a single thing I have dislike about the program. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Great Support Great Product"
5/5
What do you like best about Grapher?

ActiveX/VBA scriptable. Many non-standard graph types. Reads directly off Excel workbooks. Many non-standard graph types. Great free support not just with using the program but with scripting as well. Constantly adding new display types. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Grapher?

Some front end re-designs seem like redesign for redesign's sake. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Perfect graph software basically for 2D- but also for some 3D-types"
5/5
What do you like best about Grapher?

Very easy and intuitively to learn; extremely wide range of scientific graph types, that can even be arranged in multiple layers making even very complex graphs possible; perfect compatibility with EXCEL and many other file formats (e.g. pictures); very good object manager; enormous variety of attributes; and, and, and....just perfect.

That's why my scientific work is inseparably linked with GRAPHER since about 30 years. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Grapher?

The menu structure based on the ribbon technology introduced with GRAPHER 10. Before the menu items were more logically arranged providing a better intuitive menu control with small icons in many customizable toolbars and buttons. Now there's only one 'quick access toolbar' for depositing icons leading to a unstructured icon stack. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"An ultimate graphing/plotting package "
5/5
What do you like best about Grapher?

Nearly unlimited editing capabilities for text, objects, lines, ability to digitize data from hand-prepared figures, ability to import/insert pictures (e.g., jpg tiff files) into plots. Flexibility in figure sizes, figure locations (side by side, one on top of the other). Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Grapher?

I can't think of anything significant. The "Export" feature (Export a grapher file to other formats) sometimes results in gigantic file sizes for no apparent reason (not apparent to the user). For example, converting a 200kB grf file to an eps file of the same visual quality will often result in a file size of 68 MB. Although the export feature is a very valuable option, I only use it when absolutely necessary since such file sizes cannot practically be used for any purpose. "An excellent product for visualizing your data"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Grapher?

I am using Grapher mostly for academia related studies and I am very happy with it. It's very flexible and provides lots of graphic types which can not be drawn with Excel or other similar tools. It is possible to combine some graphic types and possible to add or change other data to a previously created chart. It also provides lots of import and export options including jpeg, eps and pdf. In addition to charts, there are some statistic tools which are very convenient to use.

It's very easy to use, and when you learn how to use it (which is very easy by the way) you can continue to use it for newer versions. As a PhD student and an engineer working in industry it' became my everyday tool for visualizing data. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Grapher?

Pie charts must be improved. Also more worksheet operations could be better. If you need to import some basic data, import tool can do it very easily however if you need a complex and custom formatted data it could not handle it sometimes. Even though the price for students is low, normal licence fee is very high. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Grapher facilitates ease of making professional graphs quickly"
5/5
What do you like best about Grapher?

Ease of of making date-time graphs reading the excel date.

The piper diagram is wonderful and wished we had it five years ago.

I like how all components of the graph is flexible.

The scripting option to produce graphs in mass is very useful and saves a time. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Grapher?

Need to have the ability to control significant digits for trend lines and associated stats.

I wish Grapher allowed the ability to click /hoover on a plot data point and the data point value shows. Yes, you can add labels to the plot, but if the plot has lots of data points than this impractical as all the labels are on top of each other and will cover up other data points. Excel graphs have this ability but not Grapher. Please Add it! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Grapher Review"
4/5
What do you like best about Grapher?

Very customizable! It is easy to change seemingly simple things that are actually very difficult to change in Excel. Also, the templates make creating repeatable graphs a breeze. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Grapher?

It can be somewhat of a hassle to move and edit lines and other figure additions on a plot. I would like to see the lines, arrows, etc. move/scale with the graph. I would like to have a default font style option so that I do not have to continue to change styles when adding headings. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
