I would recommend grapher to anyone who was interested in making their workload easier and also having a software that had powerful analytical parameters. It is very intuitive and easy to navigate, which makes learning the program easy. Another plus is the customer service and support. It has helped me to pretty much learn writing script from scratch and completely streamlined my workload. Good customer support can be hard to come by and Golden Software have incredible support. I had a very large amount of sample points that needed to be graphed and used scripter to complete aobut 1400 of these graphs in about half a day. It took a job that would have manually taken an eternity and made it simple/easy. I would recommend Grapher to a company that is look to move forward from other graphical tools, such as Excel. Grapher has a number of inbuilt tools that make it extremely powerful, such a Piper Diagram plots, which are difficult to produce in other programs. Grapher comes inbuilt with a number of different graph types, such as Polar and Ternary. Grapher also has the ability to plot 3D surfaces, which has been invaluable in constructing Geological and Hydrogeological conceptual models. The user interface is very easy to understand and very intuitive, so any user can pick up the software without lessons and begin to understand how the system works. Another major plus of Grapher and Golden Software in General is there level of support. I am an Australian user and have been able to have one of one live chats with technicians in the United States regarding script construction. I have also had a number of email chains remain open for a number and weeks. The support has always been friendly and extremely helpful, which can be difficult to find with some software companies. As having been using Grapher for many years, I do believe Grapher is one of the most essential must-have tools for reports preparation, data analysis, trend prediction, data modelling, etc. Unlike any other popular softwares, Grapher is just small but powerful, clean but complete in every necessary functions. I would most strongly recommend Grapher to anyone who regularly needs to produce high-quality technical graphs, plots, maps, etc. As a university professor, I totally rely on Grapher for my course notes, journal papers, reports, conference presentations etc. I have used Grapher since it was offered under DOS, since the early 90s, and then moving on to Grapher 2 and all subsequent versions. I first used it as a student and then as a university professor. In addition to extensive graphing capabilities, one can also create drawings (flowsheets, block diagrams, chemical formulae), import pictures into figures/graphs, etc. If one wanted to, Grapher can also be used to type an entire research thesis since the text editing capabilities of Grapher are highly advanced. I also often use Grapher to digitize old figures that are not available in digital format (pdf). One can scan a figure as a jpg file, and then import the jpg file into Grapher, and digitize it. I had people approach me after presentations at conferences to ask me what software I used to prepare my graphs. I use Grapher to create plots and figures for my course notes, journal papers, conference presentations, reports, etc. I actually also use it as a drawing tool for schematics, flowsheets, block diagrams, etc. since the drawing capabilities of the program are fairly advanced. I even used Grapher to produce structural formulae of complex organic molecules.
