What do you like best about Grant Lifecycle Manager?

I like that Foundant has built-in automated functions, such as reminder emails/templates for late uploads, to make it easier to keep track of reporting deadlines, etc. I also like that you can create customized reports easily in the system, as well as track payments and payment deadlines within each grant proposal. What do you dislike about Grant Lifecycle Manager?

I don't like that Foundant seems to lag when creating large reports/files, or that you can't edit applications/proposals after they are already embedded into the system. Our Foundation recently created a whole new set of applications that we used from 2015-present, but it is hard to track data before 2015 because of the way Foundant reporting pulls from specific applications only. Recommendations to others considering Grant Lifecycle Manager:

It is fine for basic use, but not always good for more in-depth data analysis of your grants. You have to create your own reports to look at trends within Program area/category, or by year of grant. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Grant Lifecycle Manager solving and how is that benefiting you?

We are storing all of our grants data by organization within Foundant, from 1972-present. We have been able to keep track of what grants we may have already given an organization when they approach us for a new project/proposal, as well as report on money out the door, money awarded, # of organizations, etc. through their customizable reports. Foundant also helps us automate our grant letters/awards by filling in most of the data for us when we run the decisions each month. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Grant Lifecycle Manager?

This no-frills platform provides grantmakers with the most basic cloud-based grantmaking database needs. Clear option for very small teams or those with minimal functionality needs and little-to-no customization needs. Very dedicated and hands-on support from Foundant team. What do you dislike about Grant Lifecycle Manager?

Price is not competitive in current landscape of grants management solutions. Foundant GLM user interface feels a bit clunky and dated, and does not allow for much customization or robust tailored views, searches, reporting, etc. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Grant Lifecycle Manager?

I like that the software gives me the opportunity to centralize all of the information about our grantees Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Grant Lifecycle Manager?

I find that the software takes a lot of time to learn. There Is a site that helps you understand it’s features but I’d argue that the software is not intuitive. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
