Earlier, we had to print out thick lab files or keep emailing messy ZIP folders to professors, which was a huge headache and things often got lost. Now, we just upload the PDFs or files directly here. Also, the rubric feature is a lifesaver. When the results come out, you can literally see the exact question or line of code where the professor deducted marks along with their specific comments. It's so much better than just getting a random number on a paper sheet. **What do you dislike about Gradescope?** The interface gets really sluggish and laggy on mobile browsers when you are trying to open heavy PDF scans of handwritten exam sheets. Another annoying thing is when professors set up an autograder for our programming assignments. It is incredibly strict and unforgiving. If there's even a tiny formatting mismatch or a minor syntax error that fails a test case, it just rejects the whole code section without giving any helpful hint about where the code actually broke, which leaves us guessing for hours. **What problems is Gradescope solving and how is that benefiting you?** It completely solved the issue of waiting for weeks just to get our internal lab marks and feedback. It is also irritating to navigate e.g., clicking back takes you to the homepage instead of the course page. Additionally, if i want to reupload, i can't do so for a single question but must reupload the entire homework. **What problems is Gradescope solving and how is that benefiting you?** Sumbitting homework, having all graded work in all place, grading homework much easier and much faster, assigning specific questions to people easier, dealing with regrade requests.
