What do you like best?

They have one of the best mapping systems i have ever seen. Easy to use and very specific.

The cost is on the high side of the industry

"Outstanding on all fronts"

What do you like best?

The customer service is impeccable. Phone calls are answered on the first ring and there is always a person on the other end who will take the time to walk you through solving your problem, no matter how long it takes.

What do you dislike?

I would love if the cost was less, but, in no way, do I feel like we are not getting our money's worth.

They only real issue is that pulling reports for date ranges other than single months or up to the current date are difficult. It isn't often I need information outside of these ranges, but it can be an inconvenience.

Recommendations to others considering the product:

They fulfill their promises and provide a product that works. Issues have been minimal and have always been corrected quickly and efficiently.

What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

We know where our assets are. We conform to log requirements. We how safely our drivers are driving and how they are using our equipment. It is particularly when a customer has taken a truck without informing the office staff that they are picking it up. We are able to ensure that it was taken by the correct customer and gone where we expect it to go.

"Works for us"

What do you like best?

GPS Insight turned out to be a good solution for sending daily routing info to our technicians, and for monitoring their locations. It is hard to say which part I like best. Although, I do like that I can use the Activity Detail Report and review where our Techs were days, weeks, months ago, and how long they were there.

What do you dislike?

What I dislike is that when using the Activity Detail Reporting Tool to check past locations the tool is cumbersome. For instance: Today is February 14. If I want to see where a truck/employee was on February 1, the tool automatically selects all of the days in between the 1st and 14th. In order to get rid all of those days, I have to individually select each day I don't want to see. This becomes more of an issue, if we are trying to verify a location that is several months in the past. It seems as there would be a simple fix for this. The best solution would make so a person could select the days they want to review, the same way that they you select info in most computer programs/apps. In theory, that would enable the user to select several specific days or sections of days, without them needing to muddle through info they are not looking for. Take the example above for instance. It would be nice to be able to select either a date range (i.e. say, February 1st through 4th, without getting everything up to the 14th) or alternatively/additionally (February 1st, 4th, and 8th). It seems like this would both speed up the program, as well as clean up the report.

In general it has helped with employee efficiency. It also helps if we need to verify locations, or time spent on a job.

"I love the people at GPS Insight"

What do you like best?

If I have a question or problem someone gets to it right away. They take the time to understand what the problem is and then explain to me what is going on. They are always so patient with my questions and explain things so that I can understand what my driver need to do.

What do you dislike?

Can't really think of anything except maybe more training before we started.

Recommendations to others considering the product:

We weren't sure about GPS when we first started. We had never used Electronic Logs before so really didn't know what to expect. However GPS has worked out great. It took us a while to learn and in fact we are still learning. Our drivers find it easy to use. It has helped with the accuracy of our logs tremendously. Very glad we made the choice of GPS Insight.

What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

We know what our drivers are doing in real time. That helps us to plan future loads and keep up with any possible log violations.

"Our Great Experience with GPS Insights"

What do you like best?

The customer service for one is great. They help you whenever you have questions or concerns. Ordering the equipment, scheduling of their recommendation to install and setting up were all amazingly easy! There are so many reports you can pull, whether it be one vehicle or many vehicles. You can check on vehicles locations every 3 minutes. If a call comes in you can send the closest service tech there instead of guessing who is closest.

What do you dislike?

So far, there is nothing I dislike. My only problem was getting all of our jobs sites in the computer.

I am still learning different sections every day. I would like to see one day that it would integrate into our scheduling program. And that with a click of a button once everything was scheduled it would let you optimize that list of calls.

Recommendations to others considering the product:

If you want to improve your cost per call or job, this is the program to use.

What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

We are solving our labor costs. We can now see how long our service techs are staying at our job sites to complete a job, and adjusting our prices accordingly. It also shows us where we are not routing our jobs efficiently. Keeps us from going from the east side of the county to the west side then back east, then north and then west and back south. Not only saves on fuel, maintenance and insurance, but on labor!!.

"Great GPS System"

What do you like best?

We like the ease of use from the online portal to the app. Our foreman's are able to see where other crews are located. We also love the landmark reports, it is very easy to pull up a customers landmark if the foreman forgets to clock into a job or doesn't clock out, were able to see when the crew leaves.

What do you dislike?

One dislike about the GPS system is the units lose power sometimes and requires a new one. Most of the time when this happens it is our fault from a truck battery dying or not using the truck in our off season.

Give it a try, it is the easiest system to use.

We are solving employee time thief. Before we had GPS Insight, we had issues with employees going to the gas station 3+ times a day for snacks and going to a fast food place for lunch but now with this, we made landmarks for most gas stations and fast food places. We are able to run a report whenever we want or need and question employees and possibly deduct from an employees wage. Before GPS Insight, some of our customers claimed we are not providing lawn cutting service for a certain day and because "the customer is always right" we had to credit them. Now we are able to pull up the customers landmark report and email it to them for proof.

"We have had great success with GPS Insight."

What do you like best?

The tracking is perfect for our needs. I can see where all of my trucks are at all times. It has helped us keep track of our crews and be more productive. GPS Insight has saved our company of 18 employees at least $10,000 in wages because we are able to track exactly where our employees are at instead of just relying on their word... The staff has been excellent with communication, even when we were given a new account representative. Our new rep contacted me directly to introduce himself and ask if there was any way he could help us out. It has been just what we needed.

There is really nothing that I dislike about the product or the service at this time.

We have saved a lot of money in wages that we were paying to our employees when they said they were working but in reality, they were on their lunch break. We have been able to track this precisely and save over $10,000. We have also been able to see exactly where crews or technicians are so that we can more efficiently route their days or dispatch them to emergency service calls that arise.

"Transportation Manager"

What do you like best?

asset accountability. Being able to track every asset and know where it is at all times is invaluable.

What do you dislike?

Reliability. The only down side to the units is we have recently been having issues with units going out of range. Sometimes it is caused by low battery, other times it is the GPS unit itself.

It is an invaluable tool if you are not using GPS now.

As an Independent Pepsi Bottler, our trailers all have Pepsi decals on them. They are however, not part of the Pepsi fleet. Prior to GPS Insight, our trailers were always being taken by the Pepsi fleet and we had great difficulty in tracking them down. Now with the Geo-fence, we know when they are taken and where they have been taken to. Makes recovery much quicker and easier.

"Above industry standards for interface and reliability "

What do you like best?

I went through a handful and gps providers and researched dozens. I can safely say GPS Insight wins. The interface is great. Everything is super simple to find. Recent route trails are viewed in seconds. Customer support is top knotch as well! I’ll be using them for many years to come.

What do you dislike?

This was difficult to come up with because the software literally does exactly what we need it to do. I guess if I reach for something, I’d say the map doesn’t refresh every 5 seconds like our old provider but that been a none issue.

What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

It solves the need to instantly find out where our crews and service technicians are located. We can back track their routes to view history so we can see if they took a long route.

"Fleet tracking and Delivery Crew management"

What do you like best?

Very easy and simple to use on both computer and mobile Smart devices

Fantastic for fleet / crew management for tracking deliveries and where crews are from different branches in case a truck breaks down or help is required at a jobsite.

What do you dislike?

nothing as of yet.

GPS has been a tremendous help in shipping goods and getting our guys to site in a more effective and efficient manner.

The ease of use of the Mobile App on a smart phone is fantastic as management is NOT always near a computer.

Locations of our trucks / routes that are trucks are taking.

ETA's to job sites or back from job sites re: reloading with next load.

Allows for quickly rerouting trucks / crews to close by sites that may need help.

What do you like best?

The client administration for one is extraordinary. They help you at whatever point you have questions or concerns. Requesting the hardware, planning of their proposal to introduce and setting up were all incredibly simple! There are such huge numbers of reports you can pull, regardless of whether it be one vehicle or numerous vehicles. We like the convenience from the online entryway to the application. Our foreman's can see where different groups are found. We likewise love the milestone reports, it is anything but difficult to pull up a clients milestone if the foreman neglects to clock into a vocation or doesn't check out, had the capacity to see when the group leaves.

What do you dislike?

There is actually nothing that I disdain about the item or the administration as of now.

As an organization, our financial limit was restricted for the expansion of a GPS following framework. GPS Insight has given an incredible administration, at an extraordinary esteem expected to deal with our fleet.

"4th and final GPS monitoring company"

What do you like best?

We've used SageQuest, Fleetmatics and Verizon. After being around the block, I can tell you that the App is the best of the bunch, the maps are intuitive and the streetview features are great. No more seeing the address and then going to google maps to see what is there. The alerts are easy to configure and the texting to the drivers (messages like "SLOW DOWN!") is helpful in curbing bad driving behavior. It's plug and play unlike my experiences at Fleetmatics & Sagequest and the devices don't kill batteries like those from Verizon. Tracking maintenance is useful for oil changes, brakes and other service.

What do you dislike?

History only goes back 30 days. Some odd travel histories (like vehicles not tracking for 2 hours and then appearing elsewhere on the map, especially in the histories) and DTC codes that aren't always accurate when we take the vehicles to the dealer for service. Updating maintenance or milage requires actual assistance from GPS Insight staff.

Recommendations to others considering the product:

The more data you put in and pull out from in terms of reports and alerts, the quicker your ROI through maintenance savings. Their customer service is light years ahead of Verizon and Fleetmatics.

What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

We've curbed reckless driving/speeding and after hours vehicle use. We give better, more accurate, arrival times to customers and keep our fleet in better repair with maintenance reminders. The difference between GPS insight and the others is in the map views and the removing of several steps to verify stop locations for office staff (did the driver stop at a gas station, a fast food joint or a XXX store?). The communication to the driver for vehicle fault codes, speeding and other alerts, saves phone calls from the office to say "Hey, what's going on?"

"Great and Accurate GPS Services"

What do you like best?

I love that there is an app that complements the desktop. That way if you're out on the field you can still check on vehicles location or status.

What do you dislike?

Nothing I can think of off the top of my head

Easier to give clients a realistic time table of arrival. Another benefits is that it keeps those in a tracked vehicle more accountable for their whereabouts. Early on, those who were using their vehicle for extra curricular activities were quickly weeded out.

"Great Customer Service "

What do you like best?

Customer Service is out standing. The ELD's are very driver friendly easy to operate and very accurate.

What do you dislike?

Nothing. We have been with GPS Insite for over a year and are still very satisfied with the product and service.

"Best Interface"

What do you like best?

The graphical interface of this program is great. The ability to move and rearrange multiple dashboards is fantastic. It is great being able to get the information you want right in front of you at all times.

What do you dislike?

The electronic log book solution is not great yet since it is so new. Also, some of the options to run reports are a bit cumbersome.

What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

The ability to track our vehicles at any time is great. We have been able to follow the history of a truck to see if it matches with what we expected from that vehicle and driver.

"Gps insight is a great tool for your company"

What do you like best?

The way that you can track in real time your veahicles. Also you can see their trip history and get alert on every thing that the driver do, like speeding or disconect the device is awesome

"Better Visibility, Better Control."

What do you like best?

GPS monitoring provides much more than we had originally wanted; not only does it allow us to dispatch our vehicles and personnel quicker and more effectively, it also helps us with our maintenance program to either bring in vehicles for service and maintenance or route the drivers to a facility for whatever might need attention so that our truck are kept on the road, and not in a shop or behind a tow truck.

What do you dislike?

So far there are no items that we do not like, and have not discovered anything that the system or reports do not provide.

This system has all of the tools and reports needed to manage your fleet.

Our Service Department Vehicles are the basis for that department revenue, and being able to coordinate timing of work underway with new requests helps to decrease downtime and increase revenue generation. Additionally, our vehicles are rolling billboards for our company and if our employees do not operate vehicles properly and courteously it is a direct reflection on our company. We want the public's first impression of our company to be a positive one and long-lasting!

"GPS Insight review"

What do you like best?

The real time GPS tracking of each vehicle and detailed reports on their activity have helped us determine schedules and where drivers are without having to call them and interrupt their work. The ability to see what deliveries the driver has already made are a great feature. The activity has also allowed us to track what areas require extra delivery time.

What do you dislike?

We have not found a feature we dislike yet and have just found more uses as we have gotten comfortable navigating the system.

This program has been very helpful and we would recommend it to any business that has vehicles to keep track of.

We are now better able to serve our customers by getting up to date information on where our delivery trucks are, letting us better estimate the time they will be at their next delivery. What do you like best?

"A great product with an awesome support staff."

What do you like best?

GPS Insight is a great product with a great team backing it up and the software suite offers more than enough to know if your fleet is where they are supposed to be when they are supposed to there and if there are any areas of inefficiencies.

"Great customer service"

What do you like best?

I love that they are very attentive and help you when you call or email. Our account manager is very involved and makes sure that we are always happy. He is great to work with!

What do you dislike?

The portal is very complex and takes awhile to learn how to navigate through it. There are way to many options that you will never use.

"Good product and support"

What do you like best?

GPS Insight provides data that we need to track our vehicles and equipment use and location. There are many options for customizing reports. Being able to custimize home and default screens is a big plus as well, that way differant types of users can see only the information they need or want to see.

What do you dislike?

Our company uses as much off road equipment as it does on highway vehicles. The systems are focused more on the on highway equipment for vehicle data. It would be great to be able to get engine diagnostic data for the off road equipment.

Unterdatnd all the options and possible integration with other systems that you may already be using.

ELD, equipment location, equipment utilization. Being able to have accurate mileage and hour data, accurate locations and diagnostic data from vehicles.

"Fleet Tracking Solution Review"

What do you like best?

Decent product. Does what we need it to do. Good Fleet Tracker solution. Like the fact that you can upload excel document to perform mass edit of exisitng data.

What do you dislike?

Price is too high. Compare to other fleet tracking solutions out there, the functionality does not separate itself from others. But the cost is on the high end compared to the other programs. One core functinality is missing is the ability to have one driver assigned to multiple vehicles.

Recommendations to others considering the product:

There are fleet tracking solutions provided by major telecom providers. AT&T, Verizon and T-Mobile all have better solutions at a lower cost.

It is our current Fleet management solution. We track vehicles and make sure maintenance is being done on time. One feature we do like is the fact that we can mass edit current data through uploading excel sheets.

What do you like best?

The dashboard allows you to fully customize a layout based on what's most important.

What do you dislike?

The only thing I can think of is how the stop detail and idle time report appears. A vehicle that idles quite a bit doesn't list the items in chronological order.

What do you like best?

All the support and that the program is always updating to be better without additional charges.

What do you dislike?

The app does not function the same as the web based page.

THere is always someone to help you through any bumps you hit.... which will most likely not be to many.

With GPS insight we can validate the time on the job, locations of our vehicle and estimate how long it takes to get front point a to b for our customers with out calling our electricians. Saves time and money all the way around.

"All other ELD devices should be banned!"

What do you like best?

I am grateful that I no longer have to chase my drivers to manage their HOS logs.

I appreciate that at every level that I have direct contact with, your team knows what they are talking about.

I gained confidence in GPSI with the smooth transition from our old devices.

Drivers that are new to the GPSI can't always tell if they are logged off of the device.

"Good management tool"

What do you like best?

Ability to monitor fleet in real time as well as at the end of the month to see how we can improve.

What do you dislike?

Occasionally the reading times seem to be a bit slow so vehicles are thought to be going faster than they are.

What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

We use it to monitor Idle time. We also have used it in the past to verify a contractors presence at a accident location even though their worker denied it.

What do you like best?

Ability to easily verify current vehicle locations, ability to double check vehicle arrival and departure times for work sites, peace of mind of knowing vehicles are parked after hours.

What do you dislike?

Have to make sure GPS Insight is keeping the software in the GPS units updated or you will have onboard computer issues with the vehicles.

"Great experience!"

What do you like best?

The ability to restrict what other users can seen.

What do you dislike?

Some times get lost trying to remeber where to find some features to set up.

Have had to use it to help with response time as well as, find out why a service technecian is not getting as many stops completed. Also, the email alert of trucks being close to needing service has helped with schedueling maintenance on vehicles.

The mobile app is very helpful for tracking vehicles when outside the office. There is a lot of analytical data you can access from the web portal.

Installation is a bit tricky and requires a professional to perform it.

"Everything is going great."

What do you like best?

I have to say the technical support people are the best. If I have any kind of question or problem they are right there to help. They get me back on track very quickly.

What do you like best?

Every time I had an alert emailed to me, I had the problem checked out and repaired. No other problems after repair was done.

What I like best about this product is the Instant access to locations and reports

I would like to be able to use GPS Insight to drive to my guys by being able to easily link it to Google Maps for tutn by turn directions

"A very helpful way to keep track of your fleet!"

What do you like best?

The user interface is very intuitive and easy to use, while still having a depth of information and features.

What do you dislike?

We have had two units stop working and have been trying for the last... 2 months to try and resolve the issue. We have had them into the installer to check them out, been in touch with our account manager and reached out to support. Still hoping to get this resolved.

We can set geo-fences around technicians territory and homes which enables us to receive alerts via text messaging if the vehicle is moving during nonworking hours!

Accessibility to the dashboard from computer or devices makes it easy any time day or night

"One of the best investments you can make foryour fleet"

What do you like best?

Odd hours and speeding alerts,, idle alerts and driver behaviour.

What do you dislike?

Reports for actual address of where my vehicles are at, is not accurate

Customers saying our technican was not there, i can print the report showing they were. Also Gas costs have improved since we can monitor Odd hours alert and vehicle speeds.

"Great product."

What do you like best?

I like the being able to add landmarks to the map, so I can type in a location that my trucks visit often preventing me from having to look up the address over and over.

What do you dislike?

I do not like the phone app, I find it hard to navigate. It is easy to see where my truck is but not where it has been.

What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

It really helps to know if the crew shows up on time for jobs and I can keep customers updated as to when they will arrive.

it helps maintain labor and fuel costs. the driver can route his deliveries for the day and avoid traffic

"GPS Insight for Fleets"

What do you like best?

They have one of the best mapping systems i have ever seen. Easy to use and very specific.

The cost is on the high side of the industry

i dont think GPS was ready for the sudden increase in customers (ELD mandate) but once identified, they have been feverishly adding cs reps to handle the volume.

"Does what I need it to do."

What do you like best?

The support team is excellent. When problems arise, they get us back on track quickly. The product is beneficial in that it keeps our drivers honest.

Some of the reports are hard to comprehend.

The ease of use and how easily accessible the system is. plenty of ddifferent reports as well

What do you dislike?

I would say i dislike anything about the system. the app is on a mobile phone, the system is on the computer screen and its easy to learn. no dislikes.

Customers will call and say we did not deliver something then the tracker will pull up the points where a truck has delivered to with a time and street address and how long he sat.

"My honest review"

What do you like best?

Easy to use and the display makes sense (follow your nose)

What do you dislike?

For the history there is no time frame and you have to go through the whole day when i know the timeframe that i am looking into (using it for linemen)

Cannot say as i have not had any alternative to compare it to

Using GPS insight to follow the linemen's movements that help me with the timing on linemen and when they opened what switch etc

What do you like best?

Territory awareness, fleet control, makes decision making easier.

What do you dislike?

It is not 100 % real time. They're seems to be a 4-5 minutes delay.

Truck swaps, driver assignments, time management, proactive planning, workers issues, accident reports. Van assignments.

"Very efficient and great!"

The customer service, every time I have a problem or issued they can get it resolved.

What do you dislike?

The only thing is in the HOS portal when a driver leaves his tablet on driving time and forget to sign off he can not edit that and fix it.

"The Best Customer Service"

What do you like best?

GPS Insight has one of the best customer service, they are quick, friendly and competent

What do you dislike?

The 3rd party charges can get hefty and if there are multiple units at the same time and location there is a charge for each unit instead of 1 fee for trip

Vehicle tracking was our biggest problem and the added benefit we have received is the reports that can be utilized
