Admin Experience of Gpanel Standarnd **Rating:** 2.5/5.0 stars **Reviewed by:** Verified User in Consumer Services | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.) **Reviewed Date:** October 04, 2025 **What do you like best about gPanel?** Applying company wide signatures is a nice feature as well as the ability to be able to see all users at a glance and edit their information without having to go into the admin panel directly (but is basically the same experience) **What do you dislike about gPanel?** You are only able to edit a single signature, you cannot edit/update the user's signatures used when they reply (it only edits the main signature used when sending). It doesn't update/edit the user's signature in gmail mobile, that seems to stay the same even if you push the signature company wide, it will only work when they use gmail on the web (not the mobile app) **What problems is gPanel solving and how is that benefiting you?** signature population, the rest it doesn't seem to do much else that admin panel can do (admin console does more, better, and more granularly) **Official Response from Chloe Chochard:** > Thanks for sharing your honest feedback. It is a good and complete tool. **What do you dislike about gPanel?** It is getting expensive, it is slow and we have a lot of index issues. The support is not very good. **What problems is gPanel solving and how is that benefiting you?** We used GPANEL to do automation, to apply email signatures, to manage groups, drive, calendars .... Added value to the already rich Google Apps **Rating:** 2.5/5.0 stars **Reviewed by:** Tommy B. | IT Director, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.) **Reviewed Date:** April 12, 2016 **What do you like best about gPanel?** They have a lot of reports that can help to understand usage, or help with compliance with rules or policies. You can easily browse other users data, and change permission or owner on files. Imagine you have an employee out for a month, and the project needs to go. You may have a manager asking access to a very important files that the employee was working on. You can set "Rules" for monitoring, like "files shared outside of the company" with some actions, like "need approval". May be useful **What do you dislike about gPanel?** The UI is very ugly, and slow. I understand the superheros things, but the UI keep loading. The file ownership transfer crash all the time, can't get it works. Search and sorting files based on sharing policies is a pain. Ley say that you have 3 folders with 100 000 files in each. Someone share the 3 folders outside of the company. Using the report, you will get 300 003 items that are shared outside of the company, and very, very hard to get where it comes from. Also, impossible to get a list of "outside email" that files are shared to. I would like to review this list, but can't get it. Some reports crash. **Recommendations to others considering gPanel:** I will evaluate other options since I'm not really satisfied of the "overall" gPanel. Be sure what you are looking for when using one of those softwares. gPanel has a lot of very good features, make sure it fit your requirements, or it won't be worth the price. **What problems is gPanel solving and how is that benefiting you?** With Google, security is not a priority, meaning that you need to take care of it on your own. Example, Google don't do backups, so if someone delete a folder, all the file "not owned by them" won't go to trash, but orphan files. You're screw.
