"A Must-Have for Financial Oversight and RFP Tracking"
4.5/5
What do you like best about GovSpend?

I love how easy GovSpend is to use. Being able to build searches and find the information I'm looking for, and then bounce back and forth between those searches really saves a lot of time. It also has an easy to use UI, making it quick to pick up and learn. The records go back quite some time, so we're able to really look at a historical view of a potential customer's purchasing to understand how those patterns may have changed over time. What do you dislike about GovSpend?

You have to really know your competitors or what terms you need to search for. This is because GovSpend pulls in the information from the PO or other sources, and the purchasing agency may have listed the vendor name or product name or description as something different than expected, making it difficult to find when running a search unless you know what to look for. For example, if I'm searching for agencies that have bought a competitor's product, I not only search for the product name, but the competitor company name, and keyword descriptors for that product to ensure that I'm not missing anything. "GovSpend’s Search-First UI and Strong Local/State Bid Coverage"
5/5
What do you like best about GovSpend?

I have used several platforms for bid search and intelligence in the past. There are several things that I think GovSpend does better than other solutions, but the primary one is the search based user interface which makes it easy to create new saved searches for my business. Additionally, their data footprint gives us very good coverage at the local and state level in the US and pretty good coverage at the Provincial level in Canada, which we need. Our rep at GovSpend is also very knowledgeable and the regular touchpoints help keep us up to date with new product features. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about GovSpend?

There are no major issues I have had with the GovSpend service but one area I hope they improve upon is de-duplicating some of the opportunities in the bids module. I often see an opportunity that appears 2 or 3 times (often with different levels of detail/document attachments). I assume these are scraped from different sources, but i would be nice if the solution were able to combine these or determine the best entry and keep just that one. "Insightful and Supportive"
5/5
What do you like best about GovSpend?

I really do like the support that GovSpend lends to help us in our business. Our inside manager, Kayla, has a great understanding of what we look for and helps us uncover ways to use GovSpend more effectively. She's always there to help us when we need it. Kayla is there when we need a little bit of help customizing a report or uncovering ways to use GovSpend. She provides line of sight for new things that come out through GovSpend when there's changes. She also helps us with onboarding and offboarding users, which is sometimes needed. Just overall, a really great person to work with, and I always appreciate her assistance. The initial setup was actually really good, and I owe a lot of that to Kayla and her team for helping us understand and train users. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about GovSpend?

Sometimes the software interface can be a bit difficult. It's a little disconnected from our normal system, and it takes some time to fully understand. There's a lot of modules to learn, not that it's bad, but it can be a challenge sometimes to figure out how to use it for our business. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Top-Tier Service with Powerful Features"
5/5
What do you like best about GovSpend?

I really appreciate GovSpend's exceptional customer service and the fact that they include unlimited training with an actual relationship management team. The training, done by industry experts in the USA, is top tier and helps me master the software, especially with its evolving AI functionality. I also love how the training covers product improvements, making it easier than just reading a FAQ document. The time savings that GovSpend provides is incredible, as it helps me efficiently find prospecting and closing info. The initial setup was great, and the relationship management team has been awesome, even when I meet them at trade shows. Overall, I think they are offering a unique service unmatched by others. What do you dislike about GovSpend?

I don’t have any specific challenges with GovSpend. The biggest challenge is that I wish I had found it earlier. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Revolutionized Municipal Monitoring and RFP Tracking"
5/5
What do you like best about GovSpend?

I really appreciate GovSpend's meeting intelligence, which lets us break out information by territory so each team member has insights into what's happening. This enables us to email, call, and reach out based on real-time insights to the right people. The AI feature is a big help as it quickly tells us who said what regarding meetings, saving us from spending hours combing through them. The open bids feature is incredibly useful for quickly generating bid briefs, aligning them with our category, capturing documents, and finding out where to submit the bid. I also like the purchase orders feature, which allows us to see how much a prospect has spent in our category and helps us determine potential partners in a state based on spending patterns. Another feature I enjoy is the AI notebooks, which allow me to group prospects to capture insights for blogs and case studies, see historical intelligence, and track trends to keep our messaging relevant. Overall, these features save us time and help us reach key moments swiftly, making the setup super simple. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about GovSpend?

I wish that the technology pulled all of the contact information in from agency websites. It is publicly available. While we can push the agency and the RFP into our CRM, it would be incredibly helpful to have a full list of agency contacts available, with filters (title, position, sub agency) to push into the CRM. "Intuitive, Valuable Insights but Needs Search Improvements"
4.5/5
What do you like best about GovSpend?

I find GovSpend very intuitive and easy to use. Creating a white space report for our target agencies across all states was straightforward; it took me just two data polls. This ease of use significantly reduces wasted time and allows us to be precise and targeted when identifying agencies that might benefit from our solutions and services. The initial setup of GovSpend was a piece of cake, taking no time at all. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about GovSpend?

The searching through meetings can be difficult. The purchase order system relies on keywords in descriptions instead of actual fields, which means I have to search by inspecting the keywords in the description of the PO, and that's difficult and can be less accurate. "Invaluable Insights with Extensive Data Coverage"
5/5
What do you like best about GovSpend?

I like that GovSpend provides a ton of data from all over the country, covering every niche and all of my customers. This extensive and comprehensive data availability is impressive because all my customers are there, so nothing is missing. I can look up every account and know what people are spending and with whom. This helps me understand the competitive landscape, especially knowing who the incumbent is in a competitive deal or a takeover deal. I've never had this much data to work with before, and it makes GovSpend really valuable for me. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about GovSpend?

Sometimes it's hard to search and unify the name that's in our system, like our CRM versus GovSpend. We might call them slightly different, so there could be better search capabilities that allow you to 100% match up or search by other parameters. If anything is different in the name, sometimes the data just doesn't show up, even though it's there, and you're just not finding it. That's the biggest thing. "Robust Meeting Intelligence Yet Needs Better Lead Management"
4/5
What do you like best about GovSpend?

My favorite feature is the meeting intelligence and leveraging AI to research through a variety of clients and committee meetings. It helps me understand if my clients are thinking about sustainability, which are the services I'm trying to sell. It also helps me understand who the key players are that come to most of the city council meetings and town council meetings, giving me a little bit more background on where they're at and what they're talking about on a weekly basis. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about GovSpend?

I often have trouble accessing who the key players are, and the smaller towns don't seem to appear on GovSpend, so I need to contact GovSpend to get some of that research completed. Also, I keep on getting an email for a lead that is completely irrelevant to me, and the GovSpend team was unable to turn that off. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Efficient and Insightful, Needs Data Clean-Up"
4/5
What do you like best about GovSpend?

I really like the ease of use with GovSpend, as I can quickly toggle through different searches which makes the process efficient. The detail and ability to aggregate a lot of data in one place is very useful for my day-to-day job. With the extensive dataset GovSpend maintains, I can make very accurate and credible estimates about market sizes. The initial setup was easy, and the GovSpend team is very proactive in offering help. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about GovSpend?

Sometimes there are spelling errors in data points throughout the database. These errors cause me to stop and have to manually fix them and sometimes even make assumptions about what the data is trying to say. If these could be minimized, the service would be even better. "GovSpend: A Critical Tool for Streamlining Contract Research"
5/5
What do you like best about GovSpend?

What I enjoy most about GovSpend is absolutely the employees that we work with. The customer service and the customer support team is extremely helpful, often responding within a few minutes. They go above and beyond in walking us through the product, whether it was the initial demo or ongoing use. I'm often very impressed with how GovSpend goes behind the scenes to get additional information for us in response to our requests or queries. We go into a conversation expecting to find information pertaining to our initial ask or project, and GovSpend goes above and beyond, providing way well above that, impressing us with the amount and quality of what they provide back. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about GovSpend?

I don't really have too much that doesn't work well. Obviously, contracts and understanding the language and the details there can be difficult at times, but I feel that GovSpend does a really good job in helping the user understand that and navigate that. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
