Great Remote Access, but Patch Management Didn’t Work in Our Environment **Rating:** 1.5/5.0 stars **Reviewed by:** Denney F. | Director of Technology Services, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.) **Reviewed Date:** April 21, 2026 **What do you like best about GoToMyPC?** Their remote access and computer monitoring were very good, and their ticketing system was solid as well. **What do you dislike about GoToMyPC?** Goto wasn’t able to get patch management working in our environment, which is why we ultimately moved away from them. **What problems is GoToMyPC solving and how is that benefiting you?** We aren’t using GoToMyPC at this time. When we did use it, we relied on it for remote management, computer asset tracking, software inventory tracking, and our ticketing system. We were also expecting it to handle patch management, which they really hyped up for us, but in the end it didn’t deliver and ultimately they failed. ### 2. Possibly more secure than another option. Not much else to it really. **What do you dislike about GoToMyPC?** It's slow and jumpy, but to be fair my internet connection at home isn't the greatest. It also doesn't deal with having dual screens on the remote computer as well as I'd like. **Recommendations to others considering GoToMyPC:** Look into Chrome Remote desktop. It's free and allows me to do everything I need to do. **What problems is GoToMyPC solving and how is that benefiting you?** The ability to work from home when needed ### 4.
