## GoTo Meeting Reviews
  ### 1. Secure Meetings with Crisp Video, but Room for Feature Improvement

**Rating:** 1.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Alyssa C. | Board Certified Behavior Analyst, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 11, 2025

**What do you like best about GoTo Meeting?**

I think the most valuable aspect of GoTo Meeting is the crisp video quality it provides. It significantly enhances my experience as the service allows for seamless connections without significant lag, ensuring that my meetings run smoothly. The ability to join meetings on a secure video browser is particularly reassuring, as it alleviates any concerns about security breaches, which is a critical factor for my work-related meetings.

**What do you dislike about GoTo Meeting?**

I find that sharing links is easier on Google Meets compared to GoTo Meeting. Additionally, I prefer the overall features and functionalities offered by Google Meets, which I feel are lacking in GoTo Meeting. This preference was strong enough that my team made the switch from GoTo Meeting to Google Meets. Consequently, my likelihood of recommending GoTo Meeting is quite low.

**What problems is GoTo Meeting solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use GoTo Meeting to join meetings securely without concerns of breaches, enjoying crisp video quality and easy connection with minimal lag.

  ### 2. People do not know about the product until I discussed about it.

**Rating:** 1.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Bilal H. | Network Engineer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 03, 2025

**What do you like best about GoTo Meeting?**

Meeting Recording is easy. very useful for reference after the meeting.

**What do you dislike about GoTo Meeting?**

about it reach, every time I want to use GoToMeeting, I have to tell users that it is a platform for collaboration.

**What problems is GoTo Meeting solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Online meetings, screen sharing, take remote control, easy to record sessions for future references.

  ### 3. A crappier Zoom

**Rating:** 2.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Bryan S. | Video Producer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 16, 2023

**What do you like best about GoTo Meeting?**

It was easy to get the program downloaded and installed on my computer. There were no issues whatsoever with the installation process, and I didn't even have to restart.

**What do you dislike about GoTo Meeting?**

The user interface of GoTo Meeting was poor in comparison to competing products such as Zoom and Skype. It felt very unintuitive to use, and I was not likely to use it further.

**What problems is GoTo Meeting solving and how is that benefiting you?**

GoTo Meeting was used to communicate long-distance, and face-to-face via video imagry. It worked ok for the few times I've used it, but I would prefer a better UI.

  ### 4. Good for Tech Savvy Meetings

**Rating:** 2.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jenay A. | C, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 12, 2022

**What do you like best about GoTo Meeting?**

I have had to use GoTo Meeting when companies have wanted to host virtual conversations. It is easy to access meetings through the provided link and allows live, virtual interactions. There are a multitude of options for presentations including screen sharing and the ability to upload files.

**What do you dislike about GoTo Meeting?**

GoTo Meeting does not always work correctly on my Ipad or tablet. I have had issues with the microphone as well as the video. I have also had issues withe the link not working when I attempted to use it directly from my Google calendar.

**Recommendations to others considering GoTo Meeting:**

As a small business owner, this is not my first choice. However, when meeting with larger companies and businesses that are more technology-focused I have found that it is preferable.

**What problems is GoTo Meeting solving and how is that benefiting you?**

GoTo Meeting is useful for connecting people who are distant and allows for meetings that don't require everyone to be in the same space. It provides business with the ability to quickly connect with employees as well as other agents with whom they work.

  ### 5. A meeting system too complex for users

**Rating:** 2.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Eapen Z. | Co-Founder CTO, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 20, 2022

**What do you like best about GoTo Meeting?**

GoTo Meetings provide mode control for conductors or hosts of the meeting. Video and audio clarity is usually pretty good, and the connection is generally reliable.

**What do you dislike about GoTo Meeting?**

The interface is cumbersome, and the detached style is irritating from a user's perspective. Unable to attend the meeting with the installation of their application makes you dislike it.

**What problems is GoTo Meeting solving and how is that benefiting you?**

GoTo meeting is the default choice of many brands to conduct meetings, but from a user's perspective, it is one of the worst meeting tools I have used so far. I am still using it because I don't have any other choice to attend those meetings.

  ### 6. Works most of the time bt audio quality and video was subpar

**Rating:** 1.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Leisure, Travel & Tourism | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 18, 2023

**What do you like best about GoTo Meeting?**

Booking meetings was easy, the integrations were easy to install

**What do you dislike about GoTo Meeting?**

Screen sharing during business meetings and video conferences

  ### 7. Better Options are Now Available

**Rating:** 1.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Scott H. | Marketing Advisor and Advertising Sales, Marketing and Advertising, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 31, 2022

**What do you like best about GoTo Meeting?**

Go To Meeting was one of the first video conferencing services that I used.

**What do you dislike about GoTo Meeting?**

Go To Meeting may have kept up, but there are other video conferencing platforms that have become more popular and affordable that I switched to.

**What problems is GoTo Meeting solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Not using any more.

  ### 8. It's not that quick and responsive that would feel right. The UX could be improved.

**Rating:** 1.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 27, 2022

**What do you like best about GoTo Meeting?**

The reactions are useful, especially the hand raising.

**What do you dislike about GoTo Meeting?**

The GoTo app's web-app (non-native) nature can be felt too much. It's not that responsive, for example when resizing the cameras and the screen share area.

**What problems is GoTo Meeting solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We're using it every day for our Scrum ceremonies. It's working flawlessly in 95% of the cases.

  ### 9. Security is still great, but key industry-standard features still missing

**Rating:** 2.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Non-Profit Organization Management | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 09, 2022

**What do you like best about GoTo Meeting?**

Strong security features work well for businesses needing security

**What do you dislike about GoTo Meeting?**

Missing industry features like backgrounds that have been promised for ages

**Recommendations to others considering GoTo Meeting:**

Evaluate the swath of needs you have for a meeting platform. What GoTo does well they do very well.

**What problems is GoTo Meeting solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Meeting with international and transcontinental teams at one time

  ### 10. GoTo Meeting is Inferior to Webex or Microsoft Teams Meetings

**Rating:** 2.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Gabe H. | Technical Solutions Engineer, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 24, 2021

**What do you like best about GoTo Meeting?**

Go To Meeting is generally a good web conferencing application. It doesn't have the smoothest or most reliable user interface available amongst other web conferencing applications. One of the upsides is the ease of sharing content to present to other participants in the meeting. Sharing the conference can be done by simply clicking the "screen" button in the bottom section of the screen to the left of the dark red "leave" button with an X. If you're not the presenter, you must request permission from the instructor. The consent then enables you to share the content on your screen with the other participants. While all web conferencing applications have this process, it is helpful to see the descriptive buttons and options.

**What do you dislike about GoTo Meeting?**

Go To Meeting can be challenging when you're trying to use some of the standard features. The instant messaging service within Go To Meeting is very clunky. You can only select to send a message to a single participant or everyone in the meeting. Adding a feature to chat with two or more people of your choice within the session would help add value to this feature.

**What problems is GoTo Meeting solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We use this feature for certain clients who don't have Microsoft licenses and thus don't have Microsoft Teams that they can use for web conferences. It is definitely an inferior product to Microsoft Teams, but it does get the job done. I would recommend using Go To Meeting if you need a low budget web conferencing solution for your organization. It can be glitchy and sometimes freezes but generally performs well.

  ### 11. Good Communication/meeting tool

**Rating:** 2.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Shreyas T. | Hardware Designer, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 08, 2022

**What do you like best about GoTo Meeting?**

Low cost and features are almost same as other tool without any visible lag in visuals

**What do you dislike about GoTo Meeting?**

It is slow and demands significant computer resources to start. Slow to boot up.

**What problems is GoTo Meeting solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I have used it for conference calls as well as presentations since it allows control over participants equipment and recording of meetings as well

  ### 12. Bloated, expensive, not particularly user friendly

**Rating:** 1.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Stephen E. | Content Marketing Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 22, 2021

**What do you like best about GoTo Meeting?**

GoToMeeting has most of the features you want out of a meeting/webinar platform, with reasonably competitive pricing to boot. It boasts larger meeting sizes than Zoom, has screen-sharing and recording features, and even has cloud storage. The webinar add-on has some competitive advantages over Zoom, namely, being able to schedule multiple webinars and have unique links for each through Hubspot.

**What do you dislike about GoTo Meeting?**

The User Interface is clunky, slow, and confusing. Attendees have to download the GoToMeeting app to join meetings or webinars, which would be okay if the user experience was acceptable. If you're dealing with older audiences, who aren't as technologically literate, explaining how to install, operate, and launch GoToMeeting can be extremely tedious. Additionally, GoToMeeting's video quality is not as high-fidelity as other platforms on the market. If you're in Sales, Marketing, or another client-facing role, these factors can impact the perception of your pitch or presentation and are worth considering.

**Recommendations to others considering GoTo Meeting:**

If you're a small to medium-sized business, use Zoom. If you're a LogMeIn customer and want to keep the ecosystem pure, know you're not getting the best on the market. If you're in an industry like healthcare and are looking for a scalable solution for meeting patients or hosting meetings, GoToMeeting is better for your needs. But if you're meeting customers, clients, or prospects, Zoom has the better presentation overall. Spend your money on the clear market leader.

**What problems is GoTo Meeting solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It's a video conferencing and webinar solution. It's not as easily scalable as solutions like Google Meet or Microsoft Teams, but it gets the job done. It's helpful for enterprise-level organizations that need the bandwidth for thousands of people in a meeting.

  ### 13. Go To Meetings - very flexible

**Rating:** 1.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Miranda R. | Content Contributor, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 20, 2021

**What do you like best about GoTo Meeting?**

I like that Go To Meetings is a very flexible platform. You can have users call in, share screen with just audio, perform webinars that can be viewed or listened to, etc. I liked that the creators of certain webinars were able to easily record sessions and keep them so that if you missed the webinar, you were able to watch a recording of it later. This was a very helpful tool and didn't have lots of loading issues.

**What do you dislike about GoTo Meeting?**

That you need to plan for what you'll be using it for in advance. For example, if you decide you'd like a participant to be able to share their screen in the moment, that is not an option. You can use in browser, but I felt I had to download something which I don't always prefer.

**Recommendations to others considering GoTo Meeting:**

I found this to be very user-friendly, however I am in my 20s and some of my older coworkers found it more challenging. I would recommend reading a few other reviews to see how this software fares for people who do not consider themselves tech savvy.

**What problems is GoTo Meeting solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I mostly used GoToMeeting as a way to watch webinars at my job. Sometimes we watched them as a group and were able to use the call in for our entire conference room. It has a very nice chat/Q&A feature that is great for webinars.

  ### 14. My review of GoToMeeting

**Rating:** 2.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Mike T. | Software Engineer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 15, 2021

**What do you like best about GoTo Meeting?**

GoToMeeting offers a wide range of features that other similar applications provide. These features include screen sharing, mobile conferencing, video conferencing, and video recording, to name a few. Joining meetings is fast and effortless and productivity is increased.

**What do you dislike about GoTo Meeting?**

GoToMeeting is a bit pricey compared to other video conferencing tools. There are better tools that offer more and are cheaper or even free. If price is not a factor for you, then GoToMeeting would be a great tool for your conferencing needs.

**Recommendations to others considering GoTo Meeting:**

GoToMeeting is a solid application; however, it is not cheap to use. In my opinion, other better tools are more friendly to use and more widely adopted by the general public.

**What problems is GoTo Meeting solving and how is that benefiting you?**

GoToMeeting allows you to connect with people over the internet. This is especially helpful during a global pandemic where people are getting more comfortable working remotely.

  ### 15. Great Integrations and Easy to Use

**Rating:** 2.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Sam S. | Account Executive, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 18, 2022

**What do you like best about GoTo Meeting?**

Integration with Google Calendar. Easy to send links to prospects.

**What do you dislike about GoTo Meeting?**

High amount of dropped calls. Hard for users to quickly use without signing up.

**What problems is GoTo Meeting solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Video calls with clients, able to record calls and share with colleagues.

  ### 16. Gotomeeting seems antiquated

**Rating:** 1.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Shanna C. | Client Education Director, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 29, 2021

**What do you like best about GoTo Meeting?**

I do like the outlook plug in and I like that the meetings autogenerate there for you and update as you do.

**What do you dislike about GoTo Meeting?**

I dislike everything else; it seems old-fashioned compared to other platforms. I also always had trouble getting the desktop app to function correctly.

**What problems is GoTo Meeting solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Gotomeeting was previously the only client we used to host meetings, but once we upgraded to Zoom i thought, "where have we been and why didnt we make the switch sooner? !

  ### 17. Good but not good enough

**Rating:** 1.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Queen A. | Corporate Trainer, Non-Profit Organization Management, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 22, 2021

**What do you like best about GoTo Meeting?**

GoToMeeting has some really cool features like call back, and a log of all meetings, you can also have dedicated rooms for meetings which occur on a regular basis.

**What do you dislike about GoTo Meeting?**

Audio - you need external speakers to play videos. Connectivity is ALWAYS an issue.

**Recommendations to others considering GoTo Meeting:**

There are other platforms that perform far better than GTM.

**What problems is GoTo Meeting solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Right now with working remotely, GTM offers a way to meet online.

  ### 18. It's not terrible, but it does what it needs to do

**Rating:** 1.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Anthony G. | Recruiter, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 15, 2021

**What do you like best about GoTo Meeting?**

The ability to remotely meet your clients. There is an option to either dial in, or click the link and use the hardware audio.

**What do you dislike about GoTo Meeting?**

This software is not really user friendly. To the first time user, one might have challenges figuring out how to setup a meeting with out having to be in the meeting themselves. Most clients dial in to avoid any errors (mostly on their end).

**Recommendations to others considering GoTo Meeting:**

N/A

**What problems is GoTo Meeting solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The only problem being solved is not having to physically meet during a pandemic. Group meetings are big plus while using this application. I liked the feature in which you can link this to your LinkedIn through the LogMeIn option. Coming from a technical standpoint, I notice this application uses a lot of memory (RAM) especially when using the video stream. It may lag a bit depending on the hardware you are using. From a user-friendly standpoint--it is not ideal for those who do not use the computer every day.

  ### 19. Better video software available

**Rating:** 2.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Market Research | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 07, 2022

**What do you like best about GoTo Meeting?**

There's little that I found helpful about gtm

**What do you dislike about GoTo Meeting?**

The local file storage, would have been better if it was cloud based. Also the platform crashed regularly

**What problems is GoTo Meeting solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Audio conferencing and screen sharing

  ### 20. GoToMeeting UI is large and frustrating to "hide" at times

**Rating:** 2.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 20, 2021

**What do you like best about GoTo Meeting?**

The ability to maneuver and manage while leading a meeting.

**What do you dislike about GoTo Meeting?**

GTM made a UI change and there is a bar that I have to keep on moving "out of the way". Sharing my video slows down GTM. Meeting transcriptions are not useful at times. I'd prefer to have a better transcription to search on key words. Creating ad-hoc meetings seem to be time-consuming and must occur AFTER the start time. For example, if it's 2:02pm, I'd like to be able to start meeting time within 5 minutes at 2:00pm.

**What problems is GoTo Meeting solving and how is that benefiting you?**

One type of meeting service at work. It's easy to provide meeting likes.

  ### 21. Getting familiar

**Rating:** 1.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Government Administration | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 22, 2021

**What do you like best about GoTo Meeting?**

It conected me immediately just with link. I didn't need to remember a password, much less as a recipient didnt need to open a account, or create a username.

**What do you dislike about GoTo Meeting?**

For someone not using it much, it appears don't allow much control over backgrounds, or to be able to see or have a sense of other partcipants. Also wasn't very obvious or clear whether or not i could use the chat function to chose with whom communicat, meaning with all the participants ir just the presenter.

**Recommendations to others considering GoTo Meeting:**

It appear it is a good and easy way to do short presentations that dont require to much interactions.

**What problems is GoTo Meeting solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It was used for Education and trainings. It appears that easy to manage, and you have a lot if control as creator/ host of the meeting. I was in the receiving end of a presentation designed by Virginia Hospital. The presenter shared her screen to do her power point presentation.

  ### 22. Recommend for Groups of Large People

**Rating:** 2.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Entertainment | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 01, 2021

**What do you like best about GoTo Meeting?**

I find this to be one of the best solutions for meetings with large groups of people.

**What do you dislike about GoTo Meeting?**

Not all connections are seamless. It can be a little clunky.

**What problems is GoTo Meeting solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It's great for team collaboration where individuals are based in different regions.

  ### 23. Video conferencing software straight from the 90s

**Rating:** 1.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Renewables & Environment | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 04, 2021

**What do you like best about GoTo Meeting?**

It consistently has decent video and audio quality

**What do you dislike about GoTo Meeting?**

It seems very outdated and not intuitive to use. There are very few options of how it can be used but somehow also not simple to use.

**Recommendations to others considering GoTo Meeting:**

Don't use it unless you have literally no other choice.

**What problems is GoTo Meeting solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I work for a local government and GoToMeeting was chosen for the City to use because they were worried about the hacking into calls that happened on other platforms early on in the pandemic. We heard GoToMeeting was safer.

  ### 24. Used to be one of the greatest meeting tools

**Rating:** 1.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** XAVIER S. | CEO, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 26, 2021

**What do you like best about GoTo Meeting?**

It was easy to use, and anyone could join our meeting. I used it for big presentation of our company.

**What do you dislike about GoTo Meeting?**

The company never evolve with their competitor, so the feature went as been.

**Recommendations to others considering GoTo Meeting:**

They should work their business proposition that have been way to old now

**What problems is GoTo Meeting solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Big presentation meeting that anyone could join + sales training.

  ### 25. Doesn't provide some of the necessary tools like Zoom

**Rating:** 2.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Real Estate | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 13, 2021

**What do you like best about GoTo Meeting?**

The user interface looks neat and the icons for admin are large and easy to access.

**What do you dislike about GoTo Meeting?**

The biggest downside is the inability to rename a participant, especially when you have seven of them listed as "iPhone" or "Admin". I also dislike how there is no waiting room for participants; if someone is kicked out of the meeting AND someone else joins past the cut-off time, you have to let both of them in... rather than just the person who was kicked out.

**What problems is GoTo Meeting solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Virtual meetings with adults... the benefits are that we were able to continue with business over lockdown.

  ### 26. Pretty glitchy

**Rating:** 2.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 19, 2021

**What do you like best about GoTo Meeting?**

Screw sharing prior to the pandemic was hard in our industry working with non technical people

**What do you dislike about GoTo Meeting?**

End user confusion on whether they needed the app or the desktop version and if they needed passwords or not.

**What problems is GoTo Meeting solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Screen sharing for sales demos or occasionally troubleshooting with support.

  ### 27. Goto Meetings are cost effective but not user friendly

**Rating:** 2.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Darshil S. | Consultant, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 08, 2021

**What do you like best about GoTo Meeting?**

Apart from the customizable windows option, i did not find anything else to be good in this meeting or web conferencing application.

**What do you dislike about GoTo Meeting?**

So many options user needs to select, also, it is compulsory for the user to install the client/agent software and does not work on a browser directly. Till the user downloaded and install the client software, the meeting is half done.

**What problems is GoTo Meeting solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Have online team meets ups and conferrencing online

  ### 28. Easy to use, but there is no option for content sharing

**Rating:** 2.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Dhruv T. | Design Engineer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 20, 2021

**What do you like best about GoTo Meeting?**

It is easy to use, the audio quality is also good and can be used for big conferences that can not be done on other systems.
There are no shortcomings/lagging in the call and the backing is fully strong.

**What do you dislike about GoTo Meeting?**

As stated you have to use other tools in order to share content with other members. All members need to have premium account in order to use multiple screens with different members.

**What problems is GoTo Meeting solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Have attended many online webinars and have done internal meetings using GoToMeeting

  ### 29. Experiences lag time sometimes

**Rating:** 2.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Public Policy | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 15, 2021

**What do you like best about GoTo Meeting?**

It’s way to connect for a screen share.

**What do you dislike about GoTo Meeting?**

If the prospect is. It using chrome there can be difficulties

**What problems is GoTo Meeting solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Lag time on screen sharing

  ### 30. One of the first but slow

**Rating:** 2.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Rachel B. | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 19, 2020

**What do you like best about GoTo Meeting?**

It not only has screen share options but has chat features for businesses

**What do you dislike about GoTo Meeting?**

It has a multitude of choices and tools to use during a screen share session such as controlling the other persons screen on your end. It also has a chat system that businesses can use for their client and support.

**Recommendations to others considering GoTo Meeting:**

Can be a great utility but is definitely slow. Using it as a chat source is something I would recommend not really as a screen share program.

**What problems is GoTo Meeting solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Requires both parties to install a process which at times doesn't always actually pop up on the screen which can lead to issues if one of the parties isn't tech savvy. I also found go to meeting to be very slow in processing compared to other screen share utilities. Even though having lots of options it can be a negative as sometimes simplicity is best.

  ### 31. More to be desired

**Rating:** 2.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Hospital & Health Care | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 10, 2021

**What do you like best about GoTo Meeting?**

Remote mouse control options allow for ease of group work

**What do you dislike about GoTo Meeting?**

Platform is less user friendly vs more popular Zoom etc

**What problems is GoTo Meeting solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Difficulties include audio and visual inconsistency (not due to internet issues), and less than stellar quality.
Benefits include simple controls, remote mouse access option

  ### 32. Not as User friendly

**Rating:** 2.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Financial Services | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 22, 2021

**What do you like best about GoTo Meeting?**

GotoMeeting has been around for a long time, and there is some familiarity with it.

**What do you dislike about GoTo Meeting?**

Price, functionality though new version is easier to navigate

**What problems is GoTo Meeting solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We used to use for client interaction and team coordination. But we realized it's not as fully integrated with other packages for collaboration and, in our case, document storage and retrieval. We switched to Teams due to its fully integrated suite of apps.

  ### 33. Can't hold up to Zoom

**Rating:** 1.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Brian M. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 10, 2020

**What do you like best about GoTo Meeting?**

GoToMeeting's webinar feature has been useful when it comes to large meetings with over 150 attendees.

**What do you dislike about GoTo Meeting?**

UX is a bit confusing and it always takes me a minute to remember how to access billing, which is three window deep into the menus. It is also rather confusing how many products are in the GoToMeeting family.

**Recommendations to others considering GoTo Meeting:**

Look into other solutions with multiple prodcuts.

**What problems is GoTo Meeting solving and how is that benefiting you?**

GoToMeeting allows our organization to conduct large-scale meetings during these Pandemic times.

  ### 34. GoToMeeting | For service based industry

**Rating:** 2.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Sunayana R. | Senior Lead - Communications, Outsourcing/Offshoring, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 15, 2021

**What do you like best about GoTo Meeting?**

Professional meeting software, useful to share with clients to build credibility

**What do you dislike about GoTo Meeting?**

Has network issues for Indian users, can be unfamiliar as not many use it

**What problems is GoTo Meeting solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I have realised that it helps to build brand but not user friendly.

  ### 35. takes a couple times to login

**Rating:** 2.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Financial Services | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 12, 2021

**What do you like best about GoTo Meeting?**

The system is easy to use once you got on

**What do you dislike about GoTo Meeting?**

The system has issues with logging on. I have to login multiple times before I get on.
Also, there is a bug that I have to collapse my screen in order to see the videos of the people are speaking with

**What problems is GoTo Meeting solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I get links for video calls from companies to have meetings, but I would not use them otherwise

  ### 36. connection issues

**Rating:** 2.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** andrew l. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 14, 2020

**What do you like best about GoTo Meeting?**

It has been a bit of a complicated tool for us if using it can be very intuitive but it has cost us a lot since all of our prospects are often frustrated with how difficult it can be to join the call. It seems that there are also some problems of performance that should be solved for its use to be effective

**What do you dislike about GoTo Meeting?**

Our experience with join.me has been a bit off-putting since we used it many times. We had a very poor connection when we made calls every time we used them for audio conferencing, and the screen and video sharing features always froze. To make sure our Internet connection was the problem every time we connected, we had to log out and restart the meeting in order for it to run smoothly, which was cumbersome and unprofessional every time we met with top executives. For this reason, we had to purchase an additional license with GoToMeeting, and because we had to wait until our Zoom subscription ended at the end of the year, we ended up paying a hefty price for conferences. Customer service never gave us the support we needed, seemed, or interested in our problems.

**What problems is GoTo Meeting solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We used join.me in the company to communicate with our coworkers even if we were not in the same location and we could meet efficiently and our projects would not be delayed.

  ### 37. GoToMeeting, works, but its not the best out there.

**Rating:** 1.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jacky B. | Director of Marketing, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 14, 2020

**What do you like best about GoTo Meeting?**

I have used GoToMeeting for years. It was one of the first remote meeting companies. It works and is relatively easy to use. It is common and a lot of people have heard of it and are more likely to already have it.

**What do you dislike about GoTo Meeting?**

I have used other companies that I think are easier. Gotomeeting has a dated look. It does not have an easy to use chat feature like some other companies. Sometimes Gotomeeting runs slow and there have been a few times where people have trouble logging into a meeting. I also do not like that there is a limit on how many meetings can be happening at the same time.

**Recommendations to others considering GoTo Meeting:**

There are a lot of companies out there, look at what your needs are, and see if they will be met with Gotomeeting. They are one of the larger companies, which can be a benefit.

**What problems is GoTo Meeting solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We have offices in different states so we have always needed to meet remotely, but lately, our corporate office has been having to work remotely too. We are meeting remotely every workday, sometimes multiple times a day.

  ### 38. Stuck in contract, doesnt work well they wont let me out contract, bad experience overall

**Rating:** 2.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 29, 2020

**What do you like best about GoTo Meeting?**

I liked the demo but once I got it it wasn't usable. I really don't have anything positive that I can say about the product.

**What do you dislike about GoTo Meeting?**

- I prefer Zoom now that I've used it the interface for this product is very legacy
- Doesn't work well for calling in via computer especially if someone is outside the United States
- Recording functionality is hard to use and limited
- Customer support and billing is a major nightmare
- Account managers constantly switching

**Recommendations to others considering GoTo Meeting:**

- Use Zoom instead

**What problems is GoTo Meeting solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Online meetings and recording meeting as well as calls with internal team

  ### 39. Terrible User Experience

**Rating:** 1.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Fund-Raising | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 20, 2021

**What do you like best about GoTo Meeting?**

I could easily switch my view of people in the meeting.

**What do you dislike about GoTo Meeting?**

I could not switch my camera. I have a separate camera on my monitor and it forced me to use the one on my Macbook.

**What problems is GoTo Meeting solving and how is that benefiting you?**

None. I do not like this software. Zoom is much better.

  ### 40. They haven't kept up

**Rating:** 1.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Lorraine B. | Digital Strategist | Web Designer | Content Marketer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 05, 2021

**What do you like best about GoTo Meeting?**

I used the product for a long time, and I was used to it.

**What do you dislike about GoTo Meeting?**

They didn't keep up and their user interface is so last decade

**Recommendations to others considering GoTo Meeting:**

Try another product instead.

**What problems is GoTo Meeting solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I used it for customer training. The screen share was fine, the recording was excellent,

  ### 41. No Auto-Record Feature in 2020 is ABSURD

**Rating:** 1.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Bill S. | Marketing Director, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 16, 2020

**What do you like best about GoTo Meeting?**

The upsides of GTM is that as far as we know, it is not malware like Zoom. And the fact that they focus on solid audio quality.

**What do you dislike about GoTo Meeting?**

The absence of an auto-record feature for a meeting is ABSURD. It is 2020, guys. I understand that you want to give your corporate clients the privacy features of not auto-recording a meeting, but that is why you can make it OPTIONAL. Get with it. This is the most frustrating aspect of GTM and despite the good audio quality, it is so strongly a NEGATIVE that I occasionally consider going to a competitor. It's is RIDICULOUS and makes you look like a fake world-class company that you don't have this feature. And your forum is full of customer requests for this feature for FOUR YEARS, and you've give no response other than it's been noted as an idea. Just ridiculous.

**Recommendations to others considering GoTo Meeting:**

If audio is of great importance to you, GTM can't be beat. But if you want a meeting software that is easy to use with common-sense features like auto-recording, then BEWARE. Auto-record has been an important part of my consulting business and that fact that GTM does not and has not implemented it after customers have been clamoring for it for FOUR YEARS sends a loud message that they don't care much about their paying customers -- who will probably leave eventually at this rate.

**What problems is GoTo Meeting solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Problems solving with GTM: getting off of Zoom.

  ### 42. dont like lighting and level of connection

**Rating:** 1.5/5.0 stars

**What do you like best about GoTo Meeting?**

having personal meeting room with my name

**What do you dislike about GoTo Meeting?**

lighting and appearance and weaker connection than zoom

**What problems is GoTo Meeting solving and how is that benefiting you?**

None that I can't solve with zoom. The only benefit I would say is same vendor use with gotowebinar

  ### 43. Functions as it should but lacks interactivity.

**Rating:** 2.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Civil Engineering | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 16, 2021

**What do you like best about GoTo Meeting?**

Can have users join without downloading the app.

**What do you dislike about GoTo Meeting?**

Cannot have breakout rooms, mute all, or hide all users from each other.

**What problems is GoTo Meeting solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Virtual programming for the public has been helpful

  ### 44. Not so good

**Rating:** 1.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Deepak Kumar G. | Project Management Officer, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 19, 2021

**What do you like best about GoTo Meeting?**

Nothing so great , nothing such amazing just an another app like others.

**What do you dislike about GoTo Meeting?**

It’s just some Webinars use this app to join the meeting else nothing much eye catching.

**What problems is GoTo Meeting solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It can be hacked.

  ### 45. Go to meeting still works, and is there when you need it

**Rating:** 2.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Electrical/Electronic Manufacturing | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 04, 2021

**What do you like best about GoTo Meeting?**

It is typically reliable and seems slightly better than it used to after several large updates

**What do you dislike about GoTo Meeting?**

It often has a confusing UI and updates at just the wrong time, right when I am trying to get into a meeting with a prospect.

**Recommendations to others considering GoTo Meeting:**

Usually I'd suggest Zoom instead.

**What problems is GoTo Meeting solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Video meetings were the primary reason to use it

  ### 46. Useful but not intuitive

**Rating:** 1.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Civic & Social Organization | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 19, 2020

**What do you like best about GoTo Meeting?**

GoToMeeting has a lot of functions and gives hosts a lot of flexibility when it comes to conducting meetings.

**What do you dislike about GoTo Meeting?**

The program is not very intuitive and can be tricky to navigate. In comparison to other video conferencing platforms, GoToMeeting's interface is a bit outdated and takes some time to get used to.

**What problems is GoTo Meeting solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I have been using this platform because it is mandated by my organization, but one its benefits is that it allows for multiple people to play "host" functions. It is effective for presentations and also allows for easy screen sharing.

  ### 47. Heavy system Consumption

**Rating:** 2.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 07, 2021

**What do you like best about GoTo Meeting?**

The tool is user-friendly and it's easy to find the options required

**What do you dislike about GoTo Meeting?**

The high consumption of graphics and ram which leads the system to work slowly

**Recommendations to others considering GoTo Meeting:**

Dont use of your users and their systems are not expected to be of good high configuration.. else it will give bad user experience.

**What problems is GoTo Meeting solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Taking trainings are very convenient and easy as it helps connect the learners with the trainer

  ### 48. great tool for webinars but inadequate for online meetings

**Rating:** 1.5/5.0 stars

**What do you like best about GoTo Meeting?**

  ### 49. go to meeting

**Rating:** 2.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** sivuyile S. | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 04, 2020

**What do you like best about GoTo Meeting?**

application easy to use and navigation is easy

**What do you dislike about GoTo Meeting?**

tool is seemless compared to cisco webex or zoom

**Recommendations to others considering GoTo Meeting:**

i would recommend the product most people dont really know this meeting app .
It makes running meeting easily

**What problems is GoTo Meeting solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Firewall troubleshooting and team meetings

  ### 50. OK for web meetings, but plug-in can be like a virus, intrusive and causes issues!

**Rating:** 1.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Tim R. | IT Network Coordinator, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 24, 2020

**What do you like best about GoTo Meeting?**

It's simple to join meetings, click link, download runtime and then it will autojoin the meeting etc or ask you to login if the user has it set to ask.

**What do you dislike about GoTo Meeting?**

Once downloaded and 'run', it always seems to INSTALL on your machine and won't go away or adds itself into Outlook as a plugin. There is no one-time runtime application, it's always just "install this and leave it resident on the machine" even if you don't want it to be left on there. Highly intrusive and can cause issues with your MS Office applications sometimes after they are updated, which ... disrupts day to day productivity.

**What problems is GoTo Meeting solving and how is that benefiting you?**

None at this time, vendors use it to connect to our machines for support at times.
