  ### 2. Nice aesthetic/UI, generally easy to use

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Food & Beverages | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 01, 2024

**What do you like best about GoRetro?**

This is a great tool for my team to do Retros! The features are very useful like being able to limit number of votes, sorting cards by votes, and attaching "actions" to cards.

**What do you dislike about GoRetro?**

I wish that it was easier to share boards outside of teams, I don't think it's super intuitive. I also don't think the user experience for the left menu pane is well designed.

**What problems is GoRetro solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Improving upon large group planning sessions and capturing feedback in an efficient and straighforward way.

  ### 3. Good Retrospective Meeting Tool for Agile Teams

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Rahul Deo R. | Project Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 22, 2023

**What do you like best about GoRetro?**

GoRetro.ai is a tool that is designed to help Agile teams to conduct retrospective meetings more efficiently. It allows teams to reflect on their work process, identify areas for improvement, and plan for future iterations. This can help teams to continuously improve their workflow and become more productive.

**What do you dislike about GoRetro?**

Few points which you can consider as a disadvantage of this tool -
* Some users might find it challenging to use the tool if they are not familiar with Agile methodologies or retrospective meetings.
* This tool may be less useful for teams that do not follow Agile methodologies. Additionally, the tool may not be suitable for all types of projects or teams.

  ### 4. GoRetro review

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jonathan J.

**Reviewed Date:** September 27, 2022

**What do you like best about GoRetro?**

Creating action items directly from the card. Being able to filter by team member gives that member an opportunity to discuss their ideas.

**What do you dislike about GoRetro?**

Not much to dislike, I would like additional features though.

**What problems is GoRetro solving and how is that benefiting you?**

They are on a mission to drive continuous improvement and so is my team

**Official Response from Yaakov Carno:**

> Hey Jonathan! Happy to hear that your team is loving GoRetro and taking advantage of our newest advanced action items!

Super excited to let you know that we loved your feature request to cluster ideas together and its now ready! Go ahead and try out merging your cards to group ideas together and then use card tags to label different themes.

Now that you've experienced the power of GoRetro to transform your retrospectives, try out our new Capacity Calculator and Planning Poker to take your estimation and planning sessions to a whole new level 🤩

  ### 5. Simple and effective. Exactly what you need.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Aviation & Aerospace | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 19, 2022

**What do you like best about GoRetro?**

My team and I use GoRetro for team retrospectives at the end of each sprint. It allows writing feedback anonymously, commenting on the cards, "likes" and even gifs for a touch of humor. It does its job perfectly.

**What do you dislike about GoRetro?**

Not much to say in terms of negative feedback. A small thing to be improved is that infinite "likes" are allowed per person for one specific card. This is just a minor improvement to be made, though, nothing bad, really.

**What problems is GoRetro solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It's the perfect tool for sprint retrospectives (or any kind of retrospective or team feedback, really). It is especially helpful for a remote (or partially remote) team, since actual physical cards aren't an option.

  ### 6. My experience with GoRetro

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Sagar K. | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 02, 2023

**What do you like best about GoRetro?**

Best used tool for retrospective
Easy to capture action items
Customization in creating boards

**What do you dislike about GoRetro?**

Compatibility issues with browsers
UI can be better
Could see login related issues

**What problems is GoRetro solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Arranging productivity related meeting
Getting feedback and make actions accordingly
Trace steps and action plans

  ### 7. Easy to start using, easy to keep using

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Gregory C. | Software Engineer, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 05, 2022

**What do you like best about GoRetro?**

GoRetro is a very to-the-point tool to manage retrospectives. We've configured it once (quickly) to suit our needs and never stopped using it. Over time we've seen the product grow and improve, and it was easy to reach out if we had issues or suggestions. The team often responds quickly with actual code changes, which gives us a lot of confidence in the product's reliability.

**What do you dislike about GoRetro?**

Usability can be improved a little as sometimes functionality is hidden, and it's not easy for everyone to find a function.

**What problems is GoRetro solving and how is that benefiting you?**

During a session, our entire team can fill items from their own workstation and see (most) updates to the board in real-time, making it a convenient tool for both in-office work and working from home.

**Official Response from Yaakov Carno:**

> Hi Gregory, thank you for your awesome review!

Love the way you described GoRetro as a "very to-the-point" tool! We do our best to help agile teams by giving them everything they need to succeed in a to-the-point kinda way! :)

After helping thousands of teams transform their retrospectives we've understood the need to help not only retrospect but also to plan and run predictable and top quality sprints. That's why we've added our newest planning features - Capacity Calculator and Planning Poker. Be sure to give them a go 🤩

  ### 8. A great and simple tool for Retro management

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Mathieu D. | Team Lead, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 20, 2022

**What do you like best about GoRetro?**

The interface is clean and simple to use. The concepts map perfectly well to normal retro processes with the ability to customize just enough to fit everyone's needs. The interface offers a column approach where people can vote, comment and transform items into actionable items.

**What do you dislike about GoRetro?**

The board, when you have too many items to display can get tedious to manage with long columns. There is a timeboxing option but it is completely manual and not bound to individual items but it's not that bad.

**What problems is GoRetro solving and how is that benefiting you?**

My retros were done in all sorts of different tools, tried custom Jira boards, tried integrated tools like in VSTS, used an excel spreadsheet. Nothing ever feels complete. GoRetro offered a good balance of everything to fulfill my needs.

**Official Response from Yaakov Carno:**

> Hi Mathieu,

Happy to hear you're enjoying GoRetro's benefits and making sure to turn your feedback into actionable items. Hope you've had a chance to try out our new and improved advanced action items!

We loved your feedback about the difficulty to manage long columns so we added a scroll bar to the board and a new view option to focus on one column at a time to help with that, try it out we'd love to hear what you think! :)

  ### 9. Simple and nice looking Retro tool

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Matteo V. | Senior Android Developer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 08, 2022

**What do you like best about GoRetro?**

GoRetro looks friendly and modern, it has all the tools and properties you would expect from any Retrospective tool and more, like the optional ice breaker activity at the beginning that worked in bringing us in the right mood

**What do you dislike about GoRetro?**

The most prominent dislikes we had with the tool was the cards grouping during the discussion phase, which were not ordered by most votes by default (although that could be done easily with the filter) but we seemed forced to stay in their respective columns, making it hard to find the cards to talk about first, having to skim through them all each time. The cards not being anonymous was also an annoyance as it felt it was influencing our votes, but I do not know if this could be fixed somehow and we just didn't spend time trying.
Finally, we didn't particularly like not knowing if someone was typing or how many votes anyone had left which forced us into external synchronization in the call chat.

**What problems is GoRetro solving and how is that benefiting you?**

GoRetro solves the problem of having to organise a meaningful retrospective meeting and helps make it fun and effortless. The ice breaker is a nice touch that allows organisers to spend less time figuring out how to start a retro.

**Official Response from Yaakov Carno:**

> Hey Matteo, thanks for taking the time to leave us this great feedback!

You mentioned that you disliked the order of the cards and weren't sure which to talk about first - We definitely relate to this struggle and we have our sort by vote option at the top right of your board to solve it, try it out we'd love to hear if it helps you achieve your retro goals.
Another great way to find the right feedback to discuss is to select "Show top 5 voted cards" in your board options. This will ensure that you’re talking about the things that matter and that your team cares about.

Regarding anonymity options, you can choose to keep feedback anonymous when creating your board and you can also adjust this in your board settings after you've created it.

If you've found your team's voting is being influenced by others, try using the "Hide Vote Count" option to prevent members from seeing how many votes a card has. This combined with anonymous feedback should help your team contribute honestly and unbiasedly :)

Hope that helps!

Be sure to try out our newest features to help you not only retrospect but also to plan and run predictable and top quality sprints! Capacity Calculator and Planning Poker are here! Say goodbye to boring planning sessions and inaccurate estimations 🚀

We're constantly improving our retro toolbox and adding new features, stay posted!

  ### 10. Easy to use tool for retrospective sessions

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Tetiana L. | Project Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 12, 2022

**What do you like best about GoRetro?**

The interface is simple and easy to use. It has all the necessary features for my needs.

**What do you dislike about GoRetro?**

These are not the things I dislike, but rather things I'd like to see in GoRetro.
I'd like to be able to download the list of action items in an excel format to copy and paste them into other sources (emails, confluence pages etc).
It would also be nice to have a possibility to compare Team Happiness Index of the previous retros with a current one in one table or window without the need to switch to the previous retro boards.

**What problems is GoRetro solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It is an easy tool for running retrospective meetings. I particularly like that it has its own timer built-in and Team Happiness Index.

**Official Response from Yaakov Carno:**

> Thanks for your insightful feedback Tetiana!

We love your idea about downloading a list of your action items, we're in the process of releasing this but in the meantime we've transformed our entire action items feature - You can now manage all of your current and previous action items directly from your retro board + We've released a new and improved meeting recap export that is the perfect summary (Including all your action items) to share with your team and other stakeholders. 🤩

You mentioned that it would be nice to compare your Team Happiness Index results, happy to let you know that this is already possible in your analytics tab, there are other interesting insights there as well so check it out!

Now that you've experienced the power of GoRetro for retrospectives, make sure you try out our newest features - Capacity Calculator and Planning Poker - to help you upgrade your estimation and planning sessions. It's time to run predictable and top-quality sprints!

  ### 11. User friendly

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 27, 2022

**What do you like best about GoRetro?**

- Easy to use
- Support is available and answers very quickly
- A lot of free features is available, it is very appreciable !! like unlimited boards per team, free to customize boards, board exportation...
- Analytics section
- Action Items section
- Possibility to hide & merge cards in board
- Happyness index in board
- Team(s) creation + Boards per team

**What do you dislike about GoRetro?**

Suggestions for improvments:

In Board & in Action Items section:
- Not possible to put several owner on action items
- Not possible to remove the due date if put by mistake
- Missing something distinguish visually the status (new, in progress, done) like a color for instance
- Missing a status "Cancelled" for action item

In Analytics section:
- Not possible to see who had voted on happyness index
- Missing a date when the retrospective was started (not only when the board has been created)
- Missing a column about action items : how many action items were created in the board + how many action items are at status Done

**What problems is GoRetro solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Before GoRetro :
- With other retrospective tools, I didn't have unlimited boards
- I had to write another document to summarize the retrospective and the action items to take for each retrospective of my team

Benefits :
- GoRetro accelerates my work, especially with action items. It is easier to follow their progression.

**Official Response from Yaakov Carno:**

> Thank you so much for this lovely review! We're happy to hear that you're utilizing GoRetro's top retro features 🤩

You've left us so much valuable feedback here it's amazing! We have revamped our action items and it is going to be released soon along with our analytics page redesign so we will definitely make sure to put your insights into practice! There are already improvements that you've mentioned included in the release so keep posted!

We've already released an upgraded actions drawer in the retro board to help you manage and follow up on all of your action items 👏 Check out the attached doc below to learn more about the new action item improvements we've implemented so far 👇

Be sure to try out our newest features to help you not only retrospect but also to plan and run predictable and top quality sprints! Capacity Calculator and Planning Poker are here! Say goodbye to boring planning sessions and inaccurate estimations 🚀

Happy retrospecting :)

  ### 12. GoRetro is an excellent site for all your retrospective needs. The Customer Support is top class.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Suja C. | Scrum Master, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 17, 2022

**What do you like best about GoRetro?**

They have different price plans that suit everyone's needs

**What do you dislike about GoRetro?**

There is no option to get email notifications regarding Action Items assigned to you

**What problems is GoRetro solving and how is that benefiting you?**

They are adding a lot of new features and now GoRetro provides a platform where you can manage retrospectives, planning and sprint management all in one place

**Official Response from Yaakov Carno:**

> Hi Suja! Thanks for your awesome review!

We love your request and we added email notifications for action items 🤩

Hope you're enjoying our newest all-in-one Sprint management features and that its helping you deliver top quality and predictable sprints 👏

  ### 13. Excellent tool that has come in handy on many projects. Don't know what I would do without it

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Zion G. | Head Of Data Group, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 13, 2022

**What do you like best about GoRetro?**

GoRetro is the best retrospective tool I have ever seen. It has everything we've ever wanted. It includes the ability to create unlimited retro boards, plenty of pre-built fully customizable templates, SOC-2 compliant, invite unlimited team members, comment, vote, drag/drop/merge, create action items, follow up trends in the analytics panel, export, and so on.

**What do you dislike about GoRetro?**

There is nothing that stands out when it comes to disliking

**Recommendations to others considering GoRetro:**

Attempt it! The team is pushing the envelope and putting the customer first (their SLA is out of this world).
They also have all kinds of fun/mini tools that help us during meetings (ice breaker questions generator, for instance).
Finally, the content on their website is incredible.

**What problems is GoRetro solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The main benefit is the boost in participation. GoRetro accomplishes this by allowing users to seamlessly collaborate without hassle. Moreover, I appreciate the different templates, ease of customization and ability to tailor the board to our needs.

  ### 14. Mindblowing

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Krzysztof O. | Chief Innovation Officer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 17, 2022

**What do you like best about GoRetro?**

We were looking for something to optimize our work, and my colleague suggested trying GoRetro. In the beginning I had my doubts since we were in "Storming" part of our teamwork, and our previous Retros were "intense". As a team, we decided to give it a go, and BAM. Everything clicked.
It's:
-easy to use
-functional
-instant use level - no learning curve
After that first Retro I ask my colleague - How much?
And he said free.
BAM x2
10/10, would recommend.
I think that we will implement it company wide (if it will go through security check at least)

**What do you dislike about GoRetro?**

1. We have a security policy - either integration with AD or 2fa at least - It won't be used for any high level stuff
2. Some UI/UX tweaks would be nice, like info about merging card, number of votes available at the begging, info about multiple votes per one card per one peron, etc.
3. It would be nice to have some functionality and report like - list of tasks to address topics from retro (after voting)

**What problems is GoRetro solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Benefits:
Easy retro
Decreased time for retro
Higher morale during retro
More honesty
Clarity in voting
Less organizational problems
Fast decisions-task after retro
Etc

**Official Response from Yaakov Carno:**

> Hi Krzysztof! Thanks for taking the time to leave this great review 😄

So happy to hear GoRetro has helped you improve your retrospectives and make fast actionable decisions from your meeting!

We've now released our Meeting Recap which holds the perfect meeting summary to share with your team and other stakeholders 👏

I hope you've had a chance to try out our all-in-one Sprint management features to help you upgrade your planning and estimation sessions! Capacity Calculator and Poker Planning are here to help you not only retrospect but also to plan and deliver professional sprints. Enjoy! :)

  ### 15. Practical tool to support our retrospectives

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Tom V. | Director Of Engineering, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 31, 2022

**What do you like best about GoRetro?**

We like the option to hide the ticket content till the retrospective starts to avoid bias on sharing feedback. Once tickets are visible we use the voting mechanism to identify the top tickets we should consider. To get insights in the team spirit we use the hapiness index to follow up on a longer period.

**What do you dislike about GoRetro?**

It's not a deal breaker, but the width of the columns is not ideal.

**What problems is GoRetro solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We want a tool that helps with the governance of our retrospective process.

  ### 16. Great way to manage your retrospective meetings.

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Svetlozar S. | Product Owner - Risk, KYC and Compliance, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 21, 2022

**What do you like best about GoRetro?**

GoRetro helps me and my teams to keep track of retro commitments.

It is also very useful to open a board in the begging of the sprint, so whenever someone from the team wants to share something can easily go and add an item on the board. This way is hard to forget something that the retrospective comes.

**What do you dislike about GoRetro?**

It is very good, I don't think there is something I dislike

**What problems is GoRetro solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Help us to keep track of open action items on retro calls

Helps the team to come uo with agenda for the retro call.

Keeps history

  ### 17. Good product with room for improvement

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Khushboo V. | Scrum Master, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 28, 2022

**What do you like best about GoRetro?**

- I like the consolidation of cards feature which helps in facilitation while on the go.
- Templates provided helps make life easier for facilitator
- I also like the summary which is provided if one needs to share in other forms

**What do you dislike about GoRetro?**

- Timer has no sound when time is over - kinda deters the whole concept of timer if I have to keep checking whether or not its time and inform the team.
 - Overall design is too simple and basic - for eg. there is no Actions column which can have some reference card.
 - Once grouped together - cards cannot be ungrouped (sometimes the UI is buggy and doesn't let me place the card correctly with others and I can't undo my action
- No possiblity to get feedback from team after a retro session is complete

**Recommendations to others considering GoRetro:**

Try it out, its worth the time

**What problems is GoRetro solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It helps me keep a systematic record of the retros with different teams. Also reduces prep time with use of ready made templates.

**Official Response from Yaakov Carno:**

> Hi Khushboo! Thank you for your positive review 😊

Regarding the point you made about not being able to ungroup your cards after grouping them, we have revamped this feature and you can now unmerge your cards!

Great feedback about having an Actions columns! We recently upgraded the entire feature and added an action items drawer so that you can easily create and follow up on all of your action items in your retro board. Check out the attached doc to learn more 👇

Lots of new features and improvements are being shipped soon, keep posted!

  ### 18. Really useful tool for retros

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Artem G. | Senior QA engineer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 05, 2022

**What do you like best about GoRetro?**

Usually people don't like retros because they basically... don't know what to say.
GoRetro helps people to think in a right direction and then helps to make conclusions for further work.

**What do you dislike about GoRetro?**

Can't really say what I would call a negative or disadvantage thing...
It covers our basic needs in terms of retrospectives. And this basic functionality is free.

**What problems is GoRetro solving and how is that benefiting you?**

GoRetro is a prepared place. As I said, people usually not ready for retros and consider those as another one useless meeting. Even if they have something to say in terms of work, they don't prepare it.
GoRetro implies answering the prepared questions. And there are a lot of templates - you don't need to think, just choose a most suitable one.

  ### 19. Best tool for async retros

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Harikrishnan S. | Project Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 28, 2022

**What do you like best about GoRetro?**

Ability to create multiple boards, projects and invite users with a link. Action items can be separated with just one click. Votes make it easy to handle duplicate responses and increase weightage on items. It has basic analytics that tells me about the retro progress.

**What do you dislike about GoRetro?**

UI can be better - The app does the job perfectly, but it's in a very early stage and has a lot to evolve. The analytics part can be a bit more comprehensive. Also, JIRA connect was missing, but I think that is in their roadmap. Also, one has to manually delete the invite link to a particular board once everyone joins and it does not expire on its own.

The tool should also send reminder emails to the ones that are still pending to submit their insights. Slack integration would also do wonders for this tool.

**Recommendations to others considering GoRetro:**

The tool is simple and does the job it's supposed to do, It's evolving fast and solving the problem statement of async retros. Not sure about their pricing yet - but it will be a deciding factor for sure.

**What problems is GoRetro solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Getting retrospectives done in a remote setup was pretty challenging - go retro helped us solve this. I can just create a retro and invite everyone to do it and track the progress in real-time. Prioritizing and assigning action items were also a breeze.
The tool is simple and does the job it's supposed to do, It's evolving fast and solving the problem statement of async retros. Not sure about their pricing yet - but it will be a deciding factor for sure.

**Official Response from Yaakov Carno:**

> Hey Harikrishnan!

Thanks for your great review and super insightful feedback!
We really appreciate your ideas and we hope you keep enjoying GoRetro because we are just getting started, new UI designs and awesome features are coming soon and yes you are correct - our Jira integration with data driven insights is on its way.

I'll keep you updated on your suggestions. Stay tuned! :)

  ### 20. Great Retro and tracking tool

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Yvonne E. | Scrum Master, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 11, 2022

**What do you like best about GoRetro?**

GoRetro Free and you have the ability to set up the boards that best fit you & your team. It gives you options for action items. summary, analytics. Dashboard view, voting, reply anonymously, saves you Retro, ability to download the results.

**What do you dislike about GoRetro?**

As of now, I see no cons and GO Retro. Not sure if there is an application for this tool. That can be a nice thing to have so that people can add their comments to the boards.

**Recommendations to others considering GoRetro:**

This tool can be offered to other industries to track important feedback to improve their processes. Communication is key!

**What problems is GoRetro solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are tracking important information and feedback from our team on developing the Best practices. This tool allows our team to see any gaps in the current process. What went well, what didn't go well and how we can as a team can improve the process.

  ### 21. Good product for sprint retro's

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jeffrey H. | Software Engineer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 09, 2022

**What do you like best about GoRetro?**

Easy of creation for retro tickets which allows me and the rest of the dev team to quickly provide our feedback about our previous sprint.

**What do you dislike about GoRetro?**

The least helpful part of GoRetro is the lack of colour options for the retro lanes. Only a couple of colours are supported.

**What problems is GoRetro solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We needed a good solution for retro's where we could fill in our retro before the meeting started and we could easily gain insight in previous retros

  ### 22. GoRetro - the best retro tool on the market

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Katarzyna Z. | Senior IT professional, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 28, 2022

**What do you like best about GoRetro?**

Intuitive navigation between functions and menus, easy application but covers everything needed for a retrospective meeting. Great support team - quick response and frequent update of issue' status.

**What do you dislike about GoRetro?**

I did 3 retro meetings with the GoRetro app and can't really find any difficulties or disadvantages of GoRetro.

**What problems is GoRetro solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The team easily communicates their opinion on the sprint; team feedback can be easily commented. Sorting by the number of votes facilitates team discussions in the area of topics for improvement.

  ### 23. Great interactive board

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Manuela M. | Senior Full Stack Developer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 11, 2022

**What do you like best about GoRetro?**

It has a lot of features that make retro sessions fun. I love the ice breaker. You can put timers and make cards invisible after a specific time. It also has a cool feature for adding the following action items.

**What do you dislike about GoRetro?**

Setting up could be a little complicated, but it can be managed. It could be good to develop a feature not to add more cards after a specific time.

**What problems is GoRetro solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It is solving to manage the retro sessions historically, adding fun, and making them more interactive.

**Official Response from Yaakov Carno:**

> Thank you for taking the time to leave us this great review! :)

You mentioned a feature not to add cards after a specific time - We actually have an option to archive a board which will then only allow users to view the board without being able to add or edit. It sounds like your idea is slightly different and we are planning to implement this type of in board functionality!

Glad to hear you're enjoying the action items. We're about to release a completely new version of the action item feature with some major improvements, stay tuned!

  ### 24. Structured and Anonymous way Sprint Retrospective.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed Date:** October 05, 2022

**What do you like best about GoRetro?**

Able to add card anonymously. Assign task to team member to work on the action items assign out of the retrospective.

**What do you dislike about GoRetro?**

Nothing as such. I mostly like all the features.

**What problems is GoRetro solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Able to perform retrospective in a very well structured way.

  ### 25. Easy to use and customizable

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Hospital & Health Care | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 05, 2022

**What do you like best about GoRetro?**

I love that I can customize the card categories to match our team.

**What do you dislike about GoRetro?**

We want to be able to sort cards by the user who created them.

**What problems is GoRetro solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It provides a place to document retrospective items and assign action items with due dates to track the team's progress.

  ### 26. Thanks for this amazing tool

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ahmad D. | Sfotware Engineer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 12, 2022

**What do you like best about GoRetro?**

Cards; they are just fantastic they help with customizations and getting ideas clearly

**What do you dislike about GoRetro?**

mobile friendly design is okay but really needs an application specified for the mobile platforms

**What problems is GoRetro solving and how is that benefiting you?**

helps anonymous retrospectives and acheiving improvements

  ### 27. Easy to use

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Aparna T. | Senior Project Manager, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 03, 2022

**What do you like best about GoRetro?**

Team members can place cards on their own no need to ask individually.

**What do you dislike about GoRetro?**

Who voted on a ticket is not visible to the admin

**What problems is GoRetro solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Easy to conduct retro
Easy to export and share
Very collaborative to use

  ### 28. Clean, beautiful and useful

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Daniel R. | IT Manager, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 04, 2022

**What do you like best about GoRetro?**

It's effortless to get used. The design is immaculate and not filled with many useless options. The project isn't "mature" yet, but the upcoming features definitely will make it "rounded".

**What do you dislike about GoRetro?**

There is a thin line between having too many (what makes it challenging to use) and too little (missing features).
I mean, I can imagine tons of minor improvements which will make it awesome, but again, sometimes "less is more".

**Recommendations to others considering GoRetro:**

It's an effective tool for Retrospective meetings on Agile teams.
If they finally release the Sprint Review product, it's definitely your tool.

**What problems is GoRetro solving and how is that benefiting you?**

GoRetro provides an easy and clean place to conduct our Retrospective Meetings.
Our company is located in 2 countries in many different cities, which makes us hard to focus on team meetings. With GoRetro all becomes much easier.

The upcoming features will be very welcome for us.

**Official Response from Yaakov Carno:**

> Thanks for your awesome review Daniel! I'm happy to hear you've been waiting for our Sprint Summary feature and even happier to let you know that it's live and taking teams to the next level, hope you've checked it out :)

  ### 29. Wonderful Free Tool

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Retail | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 28, 2022

**What do you like best about GoRetro?**

Very friendly interface, and intuitive for my teams to use. The historical storage and cross-meeting analysis features are extremely helpful.

Much better than the alternative free tools we were looking at.

**What do you dislike about GoRetro?**

Occasionally small changes like card merges and additions don't show up unless a refresh is initiated. An unaware user may attempt the action multiple times and mistakenly create duplicate records. Have only witnessed this a few times though.

Secondly, would love the ability to extract my data via API. Would pay for this feature.

**What problems is GoRetro solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Making improvements to our project performance by taking learnings from the previous sprint and applying them to the next one. Also giving visibility to our leadership about what's happening at the ground level.

  ### 30. Great Tool at an Amazing Price

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Mark L. | Agile Delivery Lead, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 19, 2022

**What do you like best about GoRetro?**

I love that I can create as many boards as I like and access them directly from a dashboard. I'm in love with the Happiness Index that I utilize in every single retrospective that I have with my teams. And the fact that there are multiple templates to choose from to get me started is so helpful.

**What do you dislike about GoRetro?**

There's not much I dislike about the tool. I find that I can easily change the order of the columns on my retro boards but that sometimes they don't stick when I revisit at a later time. That's my only complaint!

**Recommendations to others considering GoRetro:**

Just try the tool. You will be happy with how simple it is and how much value you can get out of it to collaborate with your teams.

**What problems is GoRetro solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We needed a free tool that allowed us to conduct retrospectives in an anonymous way from multiple geographical locations with the ability to leave comments and capture action items. This tool delivered on all of those.

**Official Response from Yaakov Carno:**

> Hi Mark,
Thank you so much for writing this great insightful review!
I'm happy to hear you are enjoying the many templates we offer and utilizing our favorite features - happiness index and action items :)
Sounds like you are leading meaningful and collaborative retrospective meeting with your team and we are happy to support you in those effort.

We found the issue that was causing the board columns drag and drop to reset - thanks for sharing your experience, everything is functioning back to normal now! 👏

  ### 31. A (visually) basic tool that does exactly what you need it to do

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 20, 2022

**What do you like best about GoRetro?**

The simplicity of the UI is great and designed for a non-technical user in mind. Their support is fantastic and gives a great insight into what is coming next and why, which really makes a difference for users like myself in committing to keep using it (even if it is missing a few things I can already get on similar tools elsewhere)

**What do you dislike about GoRetro?**

Some of the UI elements are a little confusing but that will be ironed out soon enough with feedback and a good session recording tool to see how users use their tool. The overlap of having an actions column while also being able to turn cards from other columns into actions as well needs some clarity.

**Recommendations to others considering GoRetro:**

If you need any help or have any questions, let the support team know as they're very helpful and will give you a good idea on timelines too

**What problems is GoRetro solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It is easy to run a standard retro with others in the room or remote. As soon as the actions are improved for having notifications, it will be an easier tool to embed in the team's day-to-day work, and once you are able to sync actions into your specific work/task management tool (Asana for us) then it will speed things up immensely

  ### 32. Useful tool to conduct in person retrospectives

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Nic P. | Technical Project Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 27, 2022

**What do you like best about GoRetro?**

It was simple, intuitive and very easy to use. Members of the scrum team were able to add items with little to no help or instructions

**What do you dislike about GoRetro?**

I wish there were an easier way to remove a card or item that was added to the board

**What problems is GoRetro solving and how is that benefiting you?**

As a fully remote team, having the ability to add items to discuss ahead of time is great. It is also helpful when we have members of the team spread around the world where English is not their primary language so they can add without feeling uncomfortable with speaking in a foreign language

**Official Response from Yaakov Carno:**

> Hey Nic, thanks for taking the time to leave us this great review. Glad to hear that GoRetro is helping your team feel comfortable to share their feedback!

I'm interested to hear more about your request for an easier way to remove a card from a board, please feel to reach out to support@goretro.ai or on our live chat. I've attached a link below to an article with simple steps of how to manage your cards including how to easily delete them with 2 clicks :)

  ### 33. Used last week for my Retro meeting

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Priyanka M. | Mobile QA Engineer, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 13, 2022

**What do you like best about GoRetro?**

I really like the tool which really interests me in running my Retro with this as its looks very organised and simple to use and my all other colleagues found it really easy to access this

**What do you dislike about GoRetro?**

Few of my peers complained that they could see their inputs twice so it looks like some duplicate data is being displayed

**What problems is GoRetro solving and how is that benefiting you?**

To basically have an open team discussion and understand the team health check with the current ongoing work, if any blocker/risk areas to improve on for the future work. Also, a small icebreaker to refresh the team.

**Official Response from Yaakov Carno:**

> Hi Priyanka!

Thank you for your great review. Glad to hear that you're enjoying GoRetro and found it easy to get your teams set up!

Regarding the issue you mentioned about duplicate data, this has been fixed and all features are working as they should. Thanks for your insightful feedback!

Lots of exciting new features and improvements are on their way, stay posted! :)

  ### 34. Good and solid tool that does what it's suppose to

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Isak F. | Software Engineer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 11, 2022

**What do you like best about GoRetro?**

What I like about GoRetro is that it gets straight to the point. As a team, we don't need a lot of fancy features to do a retro. It's about what we as a team want to discuss. GoRetro makes this easy.

**What do you dislike about GoRetro?**

The tool still looks like it was made on a weekend design-wise. I don't think it's really bad it's just very inconsistent and does not look professional. I think this could be solved quite quickly and not a big problem. These things make a difference when you pay for a product.

**What problems is GoRetro solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We used Miro before we tried GoRetro and what GoRetro does better is just the simple things. Getting started by adding cards is simple and intuitive. The big benefit is not wasting time.

**Official Response from Yaakov Carno:**

> Hi Isak,

Thank you for your review, we appreciate your helpful response!

Glad to hear that GoRetro's easy-to-use design has helped your team run retros easily and improve discussion.

We appreciate your feedback regarding the website design. We are constantly improving the UI and are planning to release new updates soon. Stay tuned! :)

  ### 35. GoRetro is OK

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Banking | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 30, 2022

**What do you like best about GoRetro?**

- Preset swim lanes
- The "Action items" column

**What do you dislike about GoRetro?**

The column names "Bad". I'm not afraid of the word but in my experience, in a retrospective, "bad" then to be seen as bad for morale.

It should be renamed to something like: "Could have gone better" or "To improve"

**What problems is GoRetro solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Problem: Lack of participation

Benefit: All insides from the team are valuable and I would to maximize that.

**Official Response from Yaakov Carno:**

> Thank you for taking the time to leave us this insightful feedback! 😊

Wanted to point out that if you ever want to edit the column headings from our preset templates, you can easily customize the text and colors to align with your goals. I've left a link below to the relevant instructions. Hope this helps!

Happy retrospecting 😎

  ### 36. My GoRetro experiences

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 25, 2022

**What do you like best about GoRetro?**

GoRetro is an easy and uncomplicated way to have retrospectives with teams whose members are spread all over the globe. Easy to set up teams and boards. We tested a few other tools as well but from my point of view GoRetro fits the best to the teams requirements.

**What do you dislike about GoRetro?**

Sometimes the invitation mails seem not to work proper and you have to delete and re-invite the team member. Same with the generated link but every time we tried it twice it worked.

**Recommendations to others considering GoRetro:**

Compared to all other free retrospective tools I evaluated or tested it fitted best to my requirements.

**What problems is GoRetro solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are having retrospectives for project phases and are collecting feedback from project teams. Experiences they made in the project phase, what they have learned, where they have knowledge needs, what new knowledge they discovered which is worth sharing it in a knowledge base to all colleagues, what we need to change in future projects.... The project teams can use the board for the respective project phase during the project and note all important points directly that they do not forget it. The feedback they are giving has a very high value for our project management, knowledge management and the software development.

**Official Response from Yaakov Carno:**

> Amazing to hear that you and your team are experiencing GoRetro's value for your project management and software development. Thanks for writing up this insightful review!

You mentioned that you sometimes struggle initially with the invitation emails and so I'm excited to update you that we've revamped this flow, improved the functionality and even added the ability to invite your team directly from your board.

Lots of exciting new updates and features coming soon - Stay tuned :)

  ### 37. amazing retro tool with boring design

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Robin M. | Engineering Manager, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 22, 2022

**What do you like best about GoRetro?**

It's easy. It's straight forward. It does what it should do without all of the strange overhead that other tools have like miro. It has all the essentials and tbh that's all that 99% of the teams really need.

**What do you dislike about GoRetro?**

For our team, retro is a fun place where we reflect and have some good talks. We look at this board 2hrs every 2 weeks. Unfortunately it looks like it was build with bootstrap in 2007. Our designers and FEs really dislike it. This seems like a small remark for an amazing tool but an amazing functionality should also "feel" good.

**What problems is GoRetro solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Quicker, more productive retros.

**Official Response from Yaakov Carno:**

> Hey Robin,

Thank you for taking the time to write us this great review!

You are 100% correct, GoRetro was created to help teams run the most engaging and efficient retrospectives and so we make sure to focus on the essentials. Happy to hear you are enjoying it!

We appreciate your honest feedback about GoRetro's design. We're in the process of redesigning our UI and I'm sure your team is going to love it! I'll keep you posted with updates, stay tuned :)

  ### 38. Go Retro is a nice simple tool for the retrospectives that is very convenien to use

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 15, 2022

**What do you like best about GoRetro?**

It is flexible -
1. you can choose any approach you like,
2. you can customize them,
3.you have your action items in one place,
4. you can have multiple teams that do not see each others staff
5. You can merge cards together with similar meaning
6. You can hide cards and votes
7. You have timer
Everything is great.

**What do you dislike about GoRetro?**

what I would like to have:
1. Ability to unmerge cards as when merging them simultaneously with other teammates, the wrong ones are being merged together
2. Ability to have more than 1 action item to a card or to a group of cards
3. If you do not set the due date to action item and exports the report of the retrospective, by default, the date is 1970 , Jan 1
4. When you are voting and have voting hidden from others, you cannot see your own votes; you see only toast messages about left votes, it would be good to see your votes.

**What problems is GoRetro solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I am using Goretro as a Retrospective tool o have all my action items in place with tracking -who needs to do what and when
It is free of charge
It is easy to use

**Official Response from Astar Rigler:**

> Hi,
Thank you for taking the time to provide valuable detailed feedback to others, and we are also thrilled about you sharing your wishlist with us. Some of these are definitely on our future plans!

It’s great that GoRetro helps you track the retrospectives action items, executing retro conclusions are the core for improvement and make the retro process meaningful. Sounds like you are doing a great job with your team GoRetro's :)

  ### 39. GoRetro: A simple yet powerful Retrospective tool for your teams

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Internet | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 01, 2022

**What do you like best about GoRetro?**

GoRetro has the awesome feature of being free while also letting you access all of the normal Retrospective functions you would expect. Having multiple teams with multiple users and not being blasted by a paywall for any feature goes a long way for our company. It's nimble, lightweight, and works well every time. We love being able to trust this tool for every retro meeting.

**What do you dislike about GoRetro?**

The 'Analytics' page could use a spruce up in terms of how the information is presented and shared. I also wish there was a free way to connect to Jira, showing limited functionality, rather than the entire Jira connection being behind a paywall. Also, the 'share' links are some gibberish, it would be nice if I could have custom links.

**What problems is GoRetro solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We have solved the problem of finding a free tool that has all the features our teams need. The benefits are that our teams can share candid feedback to leadership about why things aren't going well, and helps us focus on ways we can improve. Without GoRetro, we'd miss out on that feedback!

  ### 40. Easy to use, team liked it!

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Food & Beverages | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 04, 2022

**What do you like best about GoRetro?**

The ease of use is great. It's easy to invite the team without them having to sign-up/log in. The functionality of the free version is outstanding. Most likely worth the upgrade to get Sprint Summary, pending test.

**What do you dislike about GoRetro?**

Would be awesome if GoRetro expanded with point poker for backlog grooming within the current app. That's the only downside I can think of. Maybe some UI updates like fonts etc. too, but that wouldn't improve the functionality.

**What problems is GoRetro solving and how is that benefiting you?**

To quickly with a remote team start a sprint retrospective meeting. If or when we feel for changing the structure or type of a retrospective, or just use it for other purposes than sprints that's easily done.

  ### 41. Highly recommended tool for Retrospective

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 28, 2022

**What do you like best about GoRetro?**

One of the best retro tools I've used for geographically distributed teams. And the best part is it's free :)
Wide selection of templates to help facilitate valuable and fun retro. Step-by-step guide and high-quality imagery to support your retro.
Easy to use and supports online and offline sessions. Also, they have a very good customer support team to address all your queries and provide solutions.
I highly recommend everyone to explore this tool and make your retro look easy and fun.

**What do you dislike about GoRetro?**

Nothing to dislike, I love all the features available in this tool and helpful articles to ensure that you can create the desired board and use it with your team during retro sessions.
I highly recommend everyone to explore this tool and make your retro look easy and fun.

**Recommendations to others considering GoRetro:**

One of the best retro tools I've ever used for geographically distributed teams. And the best part is it's free :)
Wide selection of templates to help facilitate valuable and fun retro. Step by step guide and high-quality image to support your retro.
Easy to use and supports online and offline sessions. Also, they have a very good customer support team to address and resolve all your queries and provide working solutions.
I highly recommend everyone to explore this tool and make your retro look easy and fun.

**What problems is GoRetro solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The team is engaged and we are achieving amazing results during retro sessions through the various templates available in this tool. All my team members are loving this tool.

  ### 42. User Experience on GoRetro is amazing

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 25, 2022

**What do you like best about GoRetro?**

The cards feature where you can write feedbacks, ideas and opinions. It actively helps in the discussion of the way forward

**What do you dislike about GoRetro?**

the cards under a restropective meeting is not visible on potrait view of mobile

**What problems is GoRetro solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It helps get feedback from the team and actively vote and comment to better voice out our opinions

  ### 43. Great user experience - low user setup time

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Cindy T. | Senior Software Developer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 13, 2022

**What do you like best about GoRetro?**

Everything was very easy - most of the cards we use were already set up. I added a "Kudos!" to give everyone the chance to thank others for their contributions, but other than that - it was perfect. We rotate engineer running the retro meetings, so quick setup is great

**What do you dislike about GoRetro?**

very little to dislike. I would add the Kudos box, because most groups do try to do that in each sprint retro (or they should!)

**What problems is GoRetro solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We needed a distributed way to quickly share developer feedback - we are not in the same room as we used to be so sticky notes don't work. I really liked the ability to export the highlights so we can act on decisions made.

  ### 44. It was a very nice new experience!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Financial Services | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 22, 2022

**What do you like best about GoRetro?**

I love how interactive and collaborative the tool was. It was a very good exercise for our team and we really had a very detailed discussion on the cards that were added by each one of us.

**What do you dislike about GoRetro?**

None that I know of right now. I have only used the tool once but I am looking forward to explore it some more as I think it would be really helpful for our team.

**What problems is GoRetro solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We were talking about items that were working or not working with our team and I believe this exercise really helped us a lot to approach it in a more structured way.

  ### 45. GoRetro is amazing for team retrospectives

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Education Management | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 23, 2022

**What do you like best about GoRetro?**

The way the tool blends into a retrospective's flow. It comes in to capture the data and quickly gets out of the way. Super intuitive

**What do you dislike about GoRetro?**

A lot of the admin features are not yet available. Reaching out to support to change teams is slightly painful at this point. Support is lovely though!

**Recommendations to others considering GoRetro:**

Go back to that retrospective and action items. That is the most important part of the tool. Not capturing feedback!

**What problems is GoRetro solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Retrospectives are captured properly. People vote on the most important lessons learnt in a sprint. Action points are lovely. Would love email notifications though!

  ### 46. Team Engagement

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Health, Wellness and Fitness | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 18, 2022

**What do you like best about GoRetro?**

The ability for the team to each add cards to the retro board and for others to vote. Order by votes brings the top issues quickly into view for discussion. The happiness index is a great additional tool to gauge the team's overall satisfaction level.

**What do you dislike about GoRetro?**

The happiness index has only four states, "very unhappy", "unhappy", "happy", and "very happy", it would be far clearer to have a neutral middle state. After talking to several members of different teams, I find that often members are "content" and not sure that they are happy enough to vote happy, so opt for sad, which is miss-leading.

**Recommendations to others considering GoRetro:**

Promotes easy engagement from your team, allowing anonymity for raising difficult issues.

**What problems is GoRetro solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Communication is the biggest issue that GoRetro can help identify regularly. Beyond that, identifying knowledge gaps and silos and time constraints on personal development. We now build in time for learning, in chunks of time, and within pieces of work. The discussion brought about by retros has mostly given empowerment to the team. They are now empowered to speak up, to gain and build knowledge, to take ownership. For an example of our backlog, we used to wait on Product Owners and Managers, now where we can build out the tasks/stories/epics and have increased productivity and positive feedback on features.

**Official Response from Yaakov Carno:**

> Hey!

Thank you for the great review and helpful feedback. We're happy to hear that you are enjoying GoRetro and your teams are feeling empowered!

We're also excited to update you that we recently added a middle state "fine" to our Happiness Index feature, now everyone on your team can express the way they feel.

Lots of amazing features and improvements are coming soon, and our Jira integration is around the corner so stay tuned! :)

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Emily G. | project manager, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 22, 2022

**What do you like best about GoRetro?**

it is easy to use and share with my team

**What do you dislike about GoRetro?**

could have more design pizzazz, but that's just extra

**What problems is GoRetro solving and how is that benefiting you?**

this is allowing our company to do final project retrospectives

  ### 48. Easy to use and support core needs for my team retrospective

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** M. Rizki R. | Scrum master, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 01, 2022

**What do you like best about GoRetro?**

ability to vote, to hide card, share retro dashboard to the public, anonymous card publisher

**What do you dislike about GoRetro?**

I can not write a medium description on each card to explain to what to write on each card

**What problems is GoRetro solving and how is that benefiting you?**

previously I used Azure plugin to conduct a retrospective but that plugin is only for project-based teams, whereas my company is using LeSS framework which has two different kinds of retro, team retrospective and overall retrospective

  ### 49. very good tool to manage people

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**What do you like best about GoRetro?**

Filters and sorting features are very helpful for each person to find their cards.
I also like Action items that can get an assignee and deadline.
There are some competitors with the better product but as long as GoRetro is free then I keep using GoRetro.

**What do you dislike about GoRetro?**

The user experience is not good. It looks like the product has been built by some developers without any UX designer!
Sometimes it has bugs and you need to refresh the page to fix it.
Voting is buggy too.
Merging cards are still difficult. The drag and drop is not smooth and many times we merge the wrong cards and then you have to edit the card to unmerge.

**Recommendations to others considering GoRetro:**

A good free tool for managing retrospective sessions of remote team

**What problems is GoRetro solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We handle our retrospective meetings when we are working remotely.

**Official Response from Astar Rigler:**

> Hi there,
Thank you for taking the time to write this insightful review!

Originally we built GoRetro for our own retrospective needs as we were searching around for the best, simple and straightforward tool. We wanted to give back to the community so opened it for free use. Since then it’s been boosting signups and we are in the process of redesigning (noticed the green colors are gone in the last week? :)
We also took serious infrastructure measurements to adapt to the scale we are (thankfully) getting!
Thanks for the constructive feedback, I’m confident you already feel some of the changes kicking in. We are also excited to release our Jira integration soon for data driven retrospectives, stay tuned!
