## About Google Drive

Google Drive is an AI-powered, secure cloud storage platform developed by Google and available as part of Google Workspace. It enables individuals and teams of all sizes to store, access, share, and collaborate on files from any device — including desktop, mobile (iOS and Android), and web browsers — all in one centralized location. At its core, Google Drive eliminates file silos and content chaos by providing a single place to manage all types of files. It supports over 100 file formats, including Google Docs, Sheets, Slides, Microsoft Office files (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), PDFs, images, and more. Users can upload, open, edit, and share files seamlessly without worrying about version conflicts, as file updates are automatically saved and synced across all devices in real time. Storage scales effortlessly from 15 GB for free users up to 5 TB per user on Business and Enterprise plans, with the ability to request additional storage as organizational needs grow. Google Workspace storage is pooled across Drive, Gmail, and Google Photos, giving teams flexible capacity management. A standout capability of Google Drive is its deep integration with Gemini, Google's AI assistant. AI Overviews in Drive deliver instant, cited answers directly within search results, eliminating the need to open individual files. The "Ask Gemini in Drive" feature provides detailed, grounded responses based on content across Drive, Gmail, Calendar, and Chat. Users can also organize curated sets of files into shareable Drive Projects, which respect Drive's built-in security and compliance controls. Drive's AI-powered search quickly surfaces relevant results based on user activity and file content, including full-text indexing of file contents, titles, owners, and metadata. The new "Organize my files" feature uses AI to intelligently suggest the best folders for loose files or create new ones to group related items — all with user approval. For collaboration, Drive offers customizable sharing permissions (edit, comment, view) with the ability to set expiration dates and prevent unwanted actions. Shared Drives allow teams to collectively own, store, and manage files, with every team member automatically having access. Users can comment on any file type, tag colleagues, and respond to activity notifications directly from email. Version history is rich and granular, with changes color-coded by contributor, enabling easy rollback to any prior version. Drive also supports electronic signatures (on eligible Business and Enterprise plans), enabling users to request and manage vendor agreements, customer contracts, and stakeholder sign-offs directly within Drive. On the security front, Google Drive is built on a cloud-native, enterprise-ready infrastructure that is always up to date and helps organizations meet compliance requirements. Zero trust controls include ransomware detection, client-side encryption, and Google Vault for data retention. AI classification automatically labels sensitive content and applies data loss prevention (DLP) policies. Drive for Desktop (available for Windows and macOS) includes AI-powered virus detection with real-time ransomware detection and instant file recovery. Drive integrates natively with the broader Google Workspace ecosystem — including Gmail, Google Docs, Sheets, Slides, Meet, Calendar, and Chat — and connects with third-party platforms such as Slack, Zoom, Salesforce, Atlassian, SAP, Microsoft Office 365, Zapier, DocuSign, Adobe Acrobat, and thousands more via the Google Workspace Marketplace. Administrators have granular controls over external sharing, third-party app access, storage limits, offline access, and classification labels, making Drive suitable for organizations of any size and regulatory environment.

"Google Meet: The Future of Video Conferencing"

4.5/5

What do you like best about Google Workspace?

Google meet is incredibly user-friendly and simple to use. The UI is basic and easy and you can create a meeting in only a few clicks. Google meet protects your meetings with end-to-end encryption, so you can be certain that your communications are private. It works in tandem with other Google products including Gmail, Google Calender , and Google Drive. This allows you to easily exchange files, collaborate on papers, and keep track of meetings. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Google Workspace?

Google Meet lacks several of the more complex capabilities found on other video conferencing systems, such as breakout rooms, polis and Q & A. The screen sharing quality in Google Meet might be variable at times. This is especially aggravating if you're attempting to share a presentation or other crucial information. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Google Workspace solving and how is that benefiting you?

Google Meet protects your meetings with end-to-end encryption,so you can be certain that your communications are private. Google Meet is alsoquite dependable, and you are unlikely to have lost calls or bad video quality. Even if you're unfamilier with video confrencing, Google Meet is simple to use. The UI is basic and easy, and you can create a meeting in only a few clicks.

Google Meet works in tandem with other Google products including Gmail, Google calender, and Google Driver. This allows you to easily exchange files, collaborate on papers, and keep track of meetings. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"An All-in-One Solution for Modern Workplacesrkspace Ecosystem for Real-Time"

4.5/5

What do you like best about Google Workspace?

What I like best about Google Workspace is how seamlessly everything works together in one ecosystem like real time collaboration & Cloud based.

All tools integrated in one ecosystem like

Gmail (email)

Google Meet (meetings)

Google Calendar (scheduling)

Docs, Sheets, Slides, Drive.

Easy to use such as Clean, simple interface

Most people already know Gmail → easy adoption

Works on browser (no installation needed)

Perfect for teamwork & remote work such as

Share files instantly with permissions (view/edit/comment)

Video meetings + chat + file sharing in one place

Great for remote teams or students. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Google Workspace?

What i dislike about Google Workspace is Storage Management

Storage is shared across services like Google Drive and Gmail, so it can fill up quickly, especially for teams handling large files.

Limited features vs desktop tools:.

Compared to apps like Microsoft Excel or Microsoft Word:

Google Sheets has fewer advanced formulas, macros, and data tools

Google Docs lacks deep formatting and layout controlInternet dependency

Works best with internet

Offline mode exists but is limited and sometimes unreliable. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Google Workspace solving and how is that benefiting you?

Working with email attachments often leads to multiple versions of the same file. With Google Docs, Google Sheets, and Google Slides, everyone works on a single live document with automatic saving and version history.

Benefit: No more “final\_v3\_updated\_final” files — improved accuracy and time savings. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Google Workspace Makes Everyday Work Simple with Seamless Real-Time Collaboration and teamwork."

5/5

What do you like best about Google Workspace?

I like Google Workspace because it makes everyday work simple and convenient. I can easily manage emails, store files, work on documents with others, and attend meetings—all in one place. The real-time collaboration in Docs and Sheets is especially useful for group projects. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Google Workspace?

One thing I dislike about Google Workspace is that some features can feel a little limited unless you’re using a paid plan. It can also get confusing when there are too many files, emails, and notifications to manage across different apps. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Google Workspace solving and how is that benefiting you?

Google Workspace helps me solve everyday problems like managing files, collaborating on projects, and keeping track of emails and documents. It saves me time because everything is connected and accessible from anywhere. For group projects, real-time editing and easy file sharing make teamwork much smoother. "Keeps Technical Documentation and Collaboration Seamlessly in One Place"

4.5/5

What do you like best about Google Workspace?

Google Workspace works well for keeping technical discussions, documentation and project-related information closely tied to the development process. I am able to use Docs for writing technical notes, Sheets for managing and calculating data/metrics, Drive for storing and exchanging project information and Meet/Chat for in-time discussions regarding issues that arise during development. This eliminates the necessity of having different tools for communication and documenting in place and allows me to keep everything within the development process itself. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Google Workspace?

In larger development projects, there tends to be an overload of shared documents and spreadsheets and the challenge becomes figuring out which resource is the most up-to-date. Using spreadsheet for documentation becomes somewhat inconvenient as well in case if there is any need for logic to be applied or automation to be performed. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Google Workspace solving and how is that benefiting you?

The biggest benefit of Google Workspace is that it allows seamless connection between development process and team communication. All the requirements, all the documents, all the review notes and project discussion are easily accessible to everyone and version history allows seeing how the shared content has been modified. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Google Workspace Makes Engineering Documentation Accessible and Collaborative"

4/5

What do you like best about Google Workspace?

Google Workspace is a great tool that allows keeping engineering documentation easily accessible to the whole team. I can use Docs to keep engineering documentation such as design notes and specifications, Sheets to arrange my test readings or component information, and Drive to store my reference files. The ability to edit simultaneously is especially useful for reviewing technical information by several engineers as it allows seeing edits instantly and leaving comments to particular parts. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Google Workspace?

In the process of engineering projects, a huge amount of drawings, spreadsheets, reports, and other documentation is created. It is hard to find the latest version without proper structure and naming of the files. Also, engineering calculations performed on spreadsheet have some limitations comparing to dedicated engineering software. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Google Workspace solving and how is that benefiting you?

Google Workspace gives us an easy-to-use shared platform for documenting engineering project and performing its review. The information about changes and reasons behind them, as well as shared access, will help all team members understand each other better and reduce the circulation of many copies of technical documentation. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Google Workspace Keeps Analysis Organized from Sheets to Slides"

5/5

What do you like best about Google Workspace?

Google Workspace comes in handy when it comes to maintaining connections between the various steps involved in the analysis process. I am able to count on Sheets to construct proper comparison tables, Docs to record my assumptions and requirements information in a properly organized manner, and Slides to deliver the conclusion using proper organization. Another important feature in terms of its value is the fact that one can challenge a result without losing context. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Google Workspace?

A problem comes up when there are multiple analysts who keep their own working files, making it difficult to maintain consistency in the process. Furthermore, spreadsheet formulas and metrics should be carefully managed to avoid drifting while reusing analysis across projects. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Google Workspace solving and how is that benefiting you?

Collaboration on decision-making is the main benefit of the tool. When working on calculations, written explanations, and presentations in collaboration, it becomes easier to track how a particular finding turns into an actionable suggestion. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Simple, Intuitive, and Seamlessly Integrated for Day-to-Day Collaboration"

5/5

What do you like best about Google Workspace?

the combination of UI/UX, integrations, performance, pricing/ROI, support/onboarding, and AI/intelligence. The interface is simple and intuitive, and the integration between Gmail, Drive, Docs, Sheets, Calendar and Meet makes managing my day-to-day work much easier.

For my role, where I deal with clients, partners, leads, marketing activities, events and reporting, the ability to collaborate and access everything from anywhere is a major advantage. Performance is reliable, the overall cost provides good ROI, and onboarding new users is straightforward. My experience with Google Workspace's AI and automated features has been positive overall. They are particularly useful for saving time on repetitive tasks such as drafting emails, summarising information, organising content and helping me get through large amounts of communication more efficiently.

For my work with clients, partners, IBs and internal teams, AI helps me get a good starting point quickly, especially when I need to turn rough ideas or information into a professional message or document. The automation and integration across Gmail, Drive, Docs, Sheets and Calendar also make my workflow smoother. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Google Workspace?

The main thing I dislike about Google Workspace is that, although the overall UI/UX and integrations are excellent, some tools can feel limited when I need more advanced functionality. Google Sheets, for example, can become difficult to manage with large or complex datasets, and working across multiple documents and accounts can sometimes feel fragmented. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Google Workspace solving and how is that benefiting you?

Having Gmail, Drive, Docs, Sheets, Calendar and Meet connected in one ecosystem means I can keep everything organised and access what I need from anywhere. It reduces time spent searching for information, sharing files or switching between different platforms, and makes collaboration much easier.

The biggest benefit for me is productivity and efficiency. It allows me to respond to clients and partners faster, manage leads and follow-ups more effectively Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Seamless All-in-One Productivity and Collaboration with Google Workspace"

5/5

What do you like best about Google Workspace?

What stands out most about Google Workspace is how seamlessly it integrates everyday productivity tools—like custom-domain Gmail, Docs, Drive, and Meet—into a single connected ecosystem that makes real-time collaboration effortless. Being able to manage files, coordinate projects, and communicate from any device without switching platforms keeps operations smooth and efficient. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Google Workspace?

One noticeable downside is that some advanced administrative and security features require upgrading to higher-tier plans, which can increase costs for smaller teams or growing businesses. Additionally, while integration is smooth across the suite, deep customization for specific workflows can sometimes feel rigid compared to standalone specialist software. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Google Workspace solving and how is that benefiting you?

Google Workspace solves the major problem of fragmented communication and scattered files by bringing custom-domain email, document creation, cloud storage, and video conferencing into a single, unified ecosystem. This benefits my day-to-day operations by enabling real-time collaboration without switching platforms, making it effortless to manage business files, coordinate projects, and communicate seamlessly from any device to keep our enterprise workflow smooth and efficient. "Excellent Collaboration and Organization with Google Workspace"

4/5

What do you like best about Google Workspace?

Google Workspace is an excellent solution when it comes to storing administrative information and keeping it organized. Here, I can use Docs to write and edit various documents, Sheets to track and analyze different trackers, Calendar for scheduling my meetings, and Drive to store any reference material. The key advantage is that I can collaborate on one set of files that eliminates all possible misunderstandings connected with different versions of files and attachments sent via email. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Google Workspace?

The environment becomes increasingly hard to manage as a team accumulates more and more files and folders because it needs continuous control over permissions, file ownership, names, and other aspects related to shared resources. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Google Workspace solving and how is that benefiting you?

It is useful for having all your administrative information stored in one unified place where you can easily manage all administrative activities such as scheduling, updating administrative documents, sending out your documents, and collaborating on them. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Google Workspace Turns Analysis into Clear, Shareable Narratives"

5/5

What do you like best about Google Workspace?

Google Workspace is helpful in transforming unstructured information about the product into structured data. Sheets will be useful for me in comparing some trends or tracking experiments, Docs for documenting the logic behind my conclusions, and Slides for composing a short and consistent narrative that will be used during the review. The ability to comment on the content of the analysis will allow to keep all the comments together with the work itself. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Google Workspace?

In case if an analysis involves many spreadsheets, it may require a lot of effort to keep formulas, definitions, and assumptions consistent between different sheets, especially if there are multiple contributors who are responsible for the content of these sheets. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Google Workspace solving and how is that benefiting you?

The most important advantage is the traceability from analysis to the recommendation that should be made. All supporting calculations, explanation of the calculations, and presentation will be stored in the same workspace. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
