## About Gmail

Gmail is Google's secure, AI-powered email service, available for both personal use and business use as part of Google Workspace. Used by billions of people worldwide, Gmail combines a clean, intuitive interface with powerful productivity features, enterprise-grade security, and deep integration with the broader Google Workspace ecosystem. At its core, Gmail provides fast, reliable email with industry-leading spam and malware protection. Its AI-enhanced spam-filtering capabilities block nearly 10 million spam emails every minute, keeping 99.9% of phishing attempts, malware, and dangerous links from ever reaching users' inboxes. Gmail uses industry-leading encryption for all messages sent and received, and never uses Gmail content for advertising purposes. Gmail is now powered by Gemini AI, Google's generative AI assistant, which transforms the inbox into a proactive, intelligent workspace. Gemini in Gmail helps users draft and polish emails in their own voice, generates suggested replies with a single click, and provides concise AI-powered summaries of long email threads so users can catch up instantly. Users can also ask Gemini to search their inbox in natural language and receive summarized answers directly in an AI Overview. Beyond AI, Gmail offers a suite of productivity features designed to help users work faster and smarter. Smart Compose provides real-time writing suggestions as users type, while Smart Reply offers quick one-click responses. Nudges remind users to follow up on important emails, and high-priority notifications ensure only the most critical messages interrupt the user's workflow. Gmail also supports offline access, allowing users to read, reply, delete, and search messages without an internet connection, with up to 90 days of mail stored locally. For business users, Gmail for Google Workspace adds a custom email address (you@yourcompany.com), unlimited group email addresses, 99.9% guaranteed uptime, zero ads, 24/7 support, and advanced security controls including S/MIME encryption, data loss prevention (DLP), eDiscovery and archiving via Google Vault, and client-side encryption. Confidential Mode lets senders set message expiration dates and restrict forwarding, copying, downloading, and printing. Gmail integrates seamlessly with the full Google Workspace suite — users can start a Google Chat conversation, join a Google Meet video call, create a Google Calendar event, collaborate on a Google Doc, or manage tasks in Google Tasks, all without leaving their inbox. The side panel provides quick access to Calendar, Keep, Tasks, and third-party add-ons from the Google Workspace Marketplace. Gmail also supports robust email marketing capabilities, including mail merge for personalized mass emails (up to 1,500 recipients from a linked Google Sheet), customizable email templates, and contact list segmentation via Google Contacts. For organizations migrating from other platforms, Gmail supports seamless migration from Microsoft Exchange, personal Gmail accounts, and any IMAP-based provider such as Hotmail or Yahoo. Gmail also works with desktop email clients like Microsoft Outlook, Apple Mail, and Mozilla Thunderbird via IMAP/POP, including contact and event sync.

"All-in-One Solution for Communication and Collaboration"

4.5/5

What do you like best about Google Workspace?

What I like best about Google Workspace is how seamlessly it combines communication, collaboration, and productivity tools into one connected ecosystem. Applications like Gmail, Google Drive, Docs, Sheets, Meet, and Calendar work together very smoothly, making it easier to manage work, projects, and communication from a single platform.

One of the biggest advantages is the real-time collaboration feature. Multiple people can edit documents, spreadsheets, or presentations simultaneously, which makes teamwork much faster and more efficient. The automatic saving and cloud-based accessibility are also extremely convenient because files can be accessed securely from almost any device without worrying about losing progress.

I also appreciate how user-friendly and organized the platform feels. Sharing files, scheduling meetings, managing tasks, and communicating with teams can all be done quickly without requiring complicated setup or technical knowledge. The integration between tools helps simplify workflows and improves overall productivity.

Overall, Google Workspace provides a reliable, flexible, and efficient environment for collaboration, communication, and project management, making everyday work much more organized and convenient. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Google Workspace?

What I dislike about Google Workspace is that some advanced features and storage options are limited in the basic or free versions, which can become restrictive for larger teams or users managing heavy workloads. As projects grow, upgrading to higher-tier plans can become necessary, which may increase overall costs.

Another issue is that while the platform works very well online, certain features can feel limited when internet connectivity is weak or unstable. Offline functionality exists, but it is not always as smooth or reliable as fully desktop-based software.

I also feel that managing permissions, shared drives, and file organization can occasionally become confusing in larger collaborative environments. In some situations, files and documents can become difficult to track when many people are editing or sharing content simultaneously.

Although Google Workspace is highly efficient and user-friendly overall, improving offline capabilities, storage flexibility, and organization controls would make the experience even better. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Google Workspace solving and how is that benefiting you?

Google Workspace solves the problem of disconnected communication, file management, and team collaboration by bringing multiple productivity tools into one integrated cloud-based platform. Instead of using separate applications for email, file storage, meetings, documents, and scheduling, everything works together within a single ecosystem, which makes workflows much more efficient and organized.

One of the biggest problems it solves is real-time collaboration. Teams can work on documents, spreadsheets, and presentations simultaneously without needing to constantly send updated versions back and forth. This reduces confusion, saves time, and improves productivity, especially when working remotely or across different locations.

Google Workspace also simplifies file storage and accessibility through Google Drive, making it easier to securely access files from different devices at any time. Features like automatic saving, cloud syncing, and easy sharing help reduce the risk of losing important work and make collaboration smoother.

For me, the platform improves communication, project coordination, and overall productivity. It helps manage tasks more efficiently, keeps work organized, and allows faster collaboration while reducing the need to switch between multiple tools and platforms. "Google Meet: The Future of Video Conferencing"

4.5/5

What do you like best about Google Workspace?

Google meet is incredibly user-friendly and simple to use. The UI is basic and easy and you can create a meeting in only a few clicks. Google meet protects your meetings with end-to-end encryption, so you can be certain that your communications are private. It works in tandem with other Google products including Gmail, Google Calender , and Google Drive. This allows you to easily exchange files, collaborate on papers, and keep track of meetings. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Google Workspace?

Google Meet lacks several of the more complex capabilities found on other video conferencing systems, such as breakout rooms, polis and Q & A. The screen sharing quality in Google Meet might be variable at times. This is especially aggravating if you're attempting to share a presentation or other crucial information. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Google Workspace solving and how is that benefiting you?

Google Meet protects your meetings with end-to-end encryption,so you can be certain that your communications are private. Google Meet is alsoquite dependable, and you are unlikely to have lost calls or bad video quality. Even if you're unfamilier with video confrencing, Google Meet is simple to use. The UI is basic and easy, and you can create a meeting in only a few clicks.

Great for remote teams or students. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Google Workspace?

What i dislike about Google Workspace is Storage Management

Storage is shared across services like Google Drive and Gmail, so it can fill up quickly, especially for teams handling large files.

Limited features vs desktop tools:.

Compared to apps like Microsoft Excel or Microsoft Word:

Google Sheets has fewer advanced formulas, macros, and data tools

Google Docs lacks deep formatting and layout controlInternet dependency

Works best with internet

Offline mode exists but is limited and sometimes unreliable. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Google Workspace solving and how is that benefiting you?

Working with email attachments often leads to multiple versions of the same file. With Google Docs, Google Sheets, and Google Slides, everyone works on a single live document with automatic saving and version history.

Benefit: No more “final\_v3\_updated\_final” files — improved accuracy and time savings. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Keeps Technical Documentation and Collaboration Seamlessly in One Place"

4.5/5

What do you like best about Google Workspace?

Google Workspace works well for keeping technical discussions, documentation and project-related information closely tied to the development process. I am able to use Docs for writing technical notes, Sheets for managing and calculating data/metrics, Drive for storing and exchanging project information and Meet/Chat for in-time discussions regarding issues that arise during development. This eliminates the necessity of having different tools for communication and documenting in place and allows me to keep everything within the development process itself. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Google Workspace?

In larger development projects, there tends to be an overload of shared documents and spreadsheets and the challenge becomes figuring out which resource is the most up-to-date. Using spreadsheet for documentation becomes somewhat inconvenient as well in case if there is any need for logic to be applied or automation to be performed. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Google Workspace solving and how is that benefiting you?

The biggest benefit of Google Workspace is that it allows seamless connection between development process and team communication. All the requirements, all the documents, all the review notes and project discussion are easily accessible to everyone and version history allows seeing how the shared content has been modified. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Google Workspace Makes Engineering Documentation Accessible and Collaborative"

4/5

What do you like best about Google Workspace?

Google Workspace is a great tool that allows keeping engineering documentation easily accessible to the whole team. I can use Docs to keep engineering documentation such as design notes and specifications, Sheets to arrange my test readings or component information, and Drive to store my reference files. The ability to edit simultaneously is especially useful for reviewing technical information by several engineers as it allows seeing edits instantly and leaving comments to particular parts. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Google Workspace?

In the process of engineering projects, a huge amount of drawings, spreadsheets, reports, and other documentation is created. It is hard to find the latest version without proper structure and naming of the files. Also, engineering calculations performed on spreadsheet have some limitations comparing to dedicated engineering software. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Google Workspace solving and how is that benefiting you?

Google Workspace gives us an easy-to-use shared platform for documenting engineering project and performing its review. The information about changes and reasons behind them, as well as shared access, will help all team members understand each other better and reduce the circulation of many copies of technical documentation. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Google Workspace Keeps Analysis Organized from Sheets to Slides"

5/5

What do you like best about Google Workspace?

Google Workspace comes in handy when it comes to maintaining connections between the various steps involved in the analysis process. I am able to count on Sheets to construct proper comparison tables, Docs to record my assumptions and requirements information in a properly organized manner, and Slides to deliver the conclusion using proper organization. Another important feature in terms of its value is the fact that one can challenge a result without losing context. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Google Workspace?

A problem comes up when there are multiple analysts who keep their own working files, making it difficult to maintain consistency in the process. Furthermore, spreadsheet formulas and metrics should be carefully managed to avoid drifting while reusing analysis across projects. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Google Workspace solving and how is that benefiting you?

Collaboration on decision-making is the main benefit of the tool. When working on calculations, written explanations, and presentations in collaboration, it becomes easier to track how a particular finding turns into an actionable suggestion. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Simple, Intuitive, and Seamlessly Integrated for Day-to-Day Collaboration"

5/5

What do you like best about Google Workspace?

the combination of UI/UX, integrations, performance, pricing/ROI, support/onboarding, and AI/intelligence. The interface is simple and intuitive, and the integration between Gmail, Drive, Docs, Sheets, Calendar and Meet makes managing my day-to-day work much easier.

For my role, where I deal with clients, partners, leads, marketing activities, events and reporting, the ability to collaborate and access everything from anywhere is a major advantage. Performance is reliable, the overall cost provides good ROI, and onboarding new users is straightforward. My experience with Google Workspace's AI and automated features has been positive overall. They are particularly useful for saving time on repetitive tasks such as drafting emails, summarising information, organising content and helping me get through large amounts of communication more efficiently.

For my work with clients, partners, IBs and internal teams, AI helps me get a good starting point quickly, especially when I need to turn rough ideas or information into a professional message or document. The automation and integration across Gmail, Drive, Docs, Sheets and Calendar also make my workflow smoother. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Google Workspace?

The main thing I dislike about Google Workspace is that, although the overall UI/UX and integrations are excellent, some tools can feel limited when I need more advanced functionality. Google Sheets, for example, can become difficult to manage with large or complex datasets, and working across multiple documents and accounts can sometimes feel fragmented. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Google Workspace solving and how is that benefiting you?

Having Gmail, Drive, Docs, Sheets, Calendar and Meet connected in one ecosystem means I can keep everything organised and access what I need from anywhere. It reduces time spent searching for information, sharing files or switching between different platforms, and makes collaboration much easier.

The biggest benefit for me is productivity and efficiency. It allows me to respond to clients and partners faster, manage leads and follow-ups more effectively Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Seamless All-in-One Productivity and Collaboration with Google Workspace"

5/5

What do you like best about Google Workspace?

What stands out most about Google Workspace is how seamlessly it integrates everyday productivity tools—like custom-domain Gmail, Docs, Drive, and Meet—into a single connected ecosystem that makes real-time collaboration effortless. Being able to manage files, coordinate projects, and communicate from any device without switching platforms keeps operations smooth and efficient. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Google Workspace?

One noticeable downside is that some advanced administrative and security features require upgrading to higher-tier plans, which can increase costs for smaller teams or growing businesses. Additionally, while integration is smooth across the suite, deep customization for specific workflows can sometimes feel rigid compared to standalone specialist software. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Google Workspace solving and how is that benefiting you?

Google Workspace solves the major problem of fragmented communication and scattered files by bringing custom-domain email, document creation, cloud storage, and video conferencing into a single, unified ecosystem. This benefits my day-to-day operations by enabling real-time collaboration without switching platforms, making it effortless to manage business files, coordinate projects, and communicate seamlessly from any device to keep our enterprise workflow smooth and efficient. "Excellent Collaboration and Organization with Google Workspace"

4/5

What do you like best about Google Workspace?

Google Workspace is an excellent solution when it comes to storing administrative information and keeping it organized. Here, I can use Docs to write and edit various documents, Sheets to track and analyze different trackers, Calendar for scheduling my meetings, and Drive to store any reference material. The key advantage is that I can collaborate on one set of files that eliminates all possible misunderstandings connected with different versions of files and attachments sent via email. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Google Workspace?

The environment becomes increasingly hard to manage as a team accumulates more and more files and folders because it needs continuous control over permissions, file ownership, names, and other aspects related to shared resources. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Google Workspace solving and how is that benefiting you?

It is useful for having all your administrative information stored in one unified place where you can easily manage all administrative activities such as scheduling, updating administrative documents, sending out your documents, and collaborating on them. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Google Workspace Turns Analysis into Clear, Shareable Narratives"

5/5

What do you like best about Google Workspace?

Google Workspace is helpful in transforming unstructured information about the product into structured data. Sheets will be useful for me in comparing some trends or tracking experiments, Docs for documenting the logic behind my conclusions, and Slides for composing a short and consistent narrative that will be used during the review. The ability to comment on the content of the analysis will allow to keep all the comments together with the work itself. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Google Workspace?

In case if an analysis involves many spreadsheets, it may require a lot of effort to keep formulas, definitions, and assumptions consistent between different sheets, especially if there are multiple contributors who are responsible for the content of these sheets. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Google Workspace solving and how is that benefiting you?

The most important advantage is the traceability from analysis to the recommendation that should be made. All supporting calculations, explanation of the calculations, and presentation will be stored in the same workspace. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
