I like the collaborative nature of Google Workspace. It allows us to collaborate both internally and externally very easily. Almost everyone can easily either already has a Gmail address or can easily get one, so it provides a low barrier to entry for collaborative opportunities for our business. It's a platform that's so much more usable and collaborative and better than Microsoft 365 for our team. The document sharing and the high collaborative nature of Google Docs and Google Slides are features we really prefer. Our organization is heavily dependent on Google Workspace. Also, the initial setup of Google Workspace is really easy and super easy to implement, which makes it appealing for organizations looking for an alternative to other tech stacks. I would love to be able to have a plugin for my cloud subscription to Google Slides and easily create presentations, proposals, and documents, and my own branding much more easily than I currently do. I am most impressed with the real-time collaboration feature, which allows several people to edit the same document or spreadsheet, comment and create version histories. Being a multi-device user, the instant synchronization of everything in the cloud is very handy; I can start working on something from one device and continue right where I left off in another. The biggest problem that I have with them is that even though each application is great on its own, they may not be as effective as the software created specifically for certain tasks – Google Docs and Sheets work great for collaboration but still cannot be compared with Microsoft Office when it comes to heavy formatting and use of spreadsheets. The offline access is another issue that I have with it – it works well enough, but I am a bit hesitant to edit anything offline when I do not have a reliable connection since I still do not fully trust their offline capabilities. Another problem that I faced was filling up the storage much faster than expected because Gmail and Drive use the same space. Prior to Google Workspace, editing of documents involved sending files back and forth and dealing with such titles as "final\_v2\_revised.docx," not knowing for certain which file is the latest. Today, having Docs, Sheets, and Drive, everyone edits the same document at once, so there is one true document without all these problems and versioning issues. This alone must be responsible for decreasing the amount of time I spend working on coordination of editing by half. Having email, calendar, files, and video conference in one place enables me to schedule a meeting, send the appropriate document, and conduct a video conference within just a few clicks instead of moving around various applications. I cannot even think of what my workflow would be without the cloud storage, where I will be able to store all my data and have access to it immediately from anywhere. We integrate these tools into our daily ops and SOPs, so it's important that they work seamlessly together. All of these services communicate with each other, so keeping things orderly is easy. We use these things on a daily basis and it's very easy to navigate. We manage tons of emails, documents, and sheets in Google Workspace and never have an issue with load times or searching for specific files. For the amount of tools we have access to, the price is unbeatable. Something in particular that helps with our heavy email workload is the AI summaries available with Gmail.
