It's the fact that almost every small work task starts and ends there without me planning it. An email turns into a document, the document gets shared, someone leaves comments, a meeting invite shows up, and somehow the whole thing happens without feeling like I'm switching between different tools. And I actually mean that as a compliment. My day usually starts with Gmail, then somehow turns into Docs, a spreadsheet gets shared, a couple of files end up in Drive, and before I know it, half the work is done without me switching between a bunch of different apps. I also like that I don't have to explain to people how to collaborate. I just send a link and that's pretty much it. What do you dislike about Google Workspace? If I had to complain about something, it's probably that Google keeps adding little changes to the interface. Nothing dramatic, but every once in a while I'll open Docs or Drive and think, "Wait... wasn't this button somewhere else yesterday?" What problems is Google Workspace solving and how is that benefiting you? For me, Google Workspace solved something that I didn't even realize was slowing me down before. I used to spend way too much time looking for the right file, checking if I had the latest version, or asking people to send something again because I couldn't find it. Now I don't really think about any of that. If someone shares a document, I know where it'll be. If I need to leave a comment or jump into a spreadsheet, it's just a couple of clicks. It doesn't make me work faster because of one specific feature. It makes me faster because there are way fewer little interruptions during the day, and those small things add up more than I expected. I love how it integrates with so many other products and services. I appreciate having one login for everything. I like how Docs and Sheets work and how you can collaborate with others. I love that it works well - it's basically always up. I love that it's low cost and affordable for startups. I love that the way one tool works is similar to how another tool works - no having to learn a bunch of radically different tools. I've not played with Gemini in Workspace much, but it does look interesting. I am always excited about AI opportunities in a process. I haven't had any issues that required support. What I like most about Google Workspace is how effortlessly it integrates with everything else, along with its seamless real-time collaboration. Because Google Docs, Sheets, and Drive are fully cloud-native, multiple people can open the exact same file and co-edit smoothly, without lag or confusing version conflicts. For group projects, it feels like the gold standard since almost everyone already has a Google account, so there’s basically no onboarding friction or learning curve. Beyond that, the ecosystem connectivity is hard to beat. You can create a Google Meet link directly inside a Calendar invite, attach or pull a file from Drive straight into an email, and quickly find what you need using Google’s built-in search. What I dislike most about Google Workspace is how messy and disorganized file management becomes over time. Google Drive’s search bar is great, but the folder structure itself feels like a nightmare, especially on group projects. The “Shared with me” section quickly turns into a huge, chaotic dumping ground of random files that are nearly impossible to organize or sort. I also hate how stripped-down and basic the apps feel compared to desktop software. If you need to do heavy data crunching in Sheets or advanced formatting in Docs, it either starts lagging right away or simply doesn’t have the same raw power as Microsoft Excel and Word. On top of that, working offline is still a massive headache because it requires specific setup ahead of time, and if your internet drops unexpectedly, you’re basically locked out of editing your work. Google Workspace solves the nightmare of version control and fragmented communication when working with other people. Before I started using it, group projects meant constantly emailing file attachments back and forth, which quickly turned into a mess of filenames like "Project\_Final\_v3\_EDITED.docx." If two people edited the same document at the same time, someone’s work would inevitably get overwritten. Google Workspace eliminates that problem by keeping everything in a single, live, cloud-based link where everyone can chat, comment, and type simultaneously without any lag. For me, that translates into a huge savings in time and anxiety. I can schedule a group meeting in Google Calendar, and it automatically generates a Google Meet link and attaches the relevant Google Doc for the project. Because everything connects natively, I don’t have to waste time setting up permissions or troubleshooting software compatibility for my classmates—if they have a web browser, they can jump in and start working right away. The thing that I do not like about Google as much is mainly simplicity about finding things. The Workspace Admin panel is somewhat tough to navigate, for beginners, who do not know much about Google or it's products. It's great, and it is worth it's price, with the many features that it has like Google Meet, but the navigation could be improved. As a administrator for our Google Workspace, it helps us stay on track, with meetings, calendars, documents, etc, especially since most of our employees use Google or are familiar with it. It's easy for them to keep up with the mobile app ("Gmail"), and many more things. We also use Google Workspace to easily manage email accounts instead of being old-style, and we easily are able to restrict usage of Google accounts and also look at the activity of Google accounts. I mainly use Google Workspace for collaboration and document management in my team. It's quite handy for sharing files and tracking projects in real time. I specifically use Drive to backup all of my contracts. Gmail is used as my only email tool. I save back-ups of all of my onboarding documents in Drive too. Any internal audit is also conducted using mostly Google Sheets. I appreciate how I can share documents directly with my team and connect easily with clients to share content. It works really well with the native apps and integrates very well with third-party applications, making it easy to integrate. This integration has helped me eliminate the need for some systems I used before and saved me time. The initial setup was very easy; we set it up within one day.
