Has become a paid service, yet continues to decline in use & value **Rating:** 1.5/5.0 stars **Reviewed by:** Shelle P. | Principal, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.) **Reviewed Date:** January 26, 2023 **What do you like best about Google Voice?** If you use Google workspace or products, the ease of just one more Google product. **What do you dislike about Google Voice?** Even though I have used the same Google Voice number for almost 10 years and have never used for selling/cold calls, it shows up as "Spam Likely" when people receive a call from my Google Voice number. There are actually less things that can be done with the number at this point - I can no longer set my business name as the caller ID, it has always been a little glitchy and so I am looking at other options. **What problems is Google Voice solving and how is that benefiting you?** A VOIP number for my business. ### 2. It is also quick and easy to set up. You have access to calls and texts. **What do you dislike about Google Voice?** There is a complete lack of features that you would get with paid services. Not auto-replies. Not even a built-in contact list. Also, it is very buggy. I experienced many dropped calls or calls that did not go through. **What problems is Google Voice solving and how is that benefiting you?** I was able to separate my personal calls from my work calls. ### 3. But then gmail got stale and who wants to stare at the same client for decades and once you decide to use something else you don't have that link anymore. ### 4. The Auto-Attendant menu is limited. **What problems is Google Voice solving and how is that benefiting you?** It wasn't solving any problems and that's why we switched away from it. ### 5. There is no Pros - I thought it was a good value but .... Basic Voip system. I primarily use it in conjunction with 8x8 to have a free number pop up on my phone. Marketing opportunities It makes work easy for company and makes you move faster at work You can also try it **What do you dislike about Google Voice?** Limited in terms of other functionality and integration to all other media platforms. This system that Google offers us is really wonderful, I do not really observe in any deficiency. I have no negatives about google voice. The app isn't particularly aesthetic, but its user friendly.
