"Empowers with Flexibility and Community Support"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Google Tag Manager?

Google Tag Manager serves as a gateway to various tools such as Google Analytics, Google Ads, Meta Ads, and more. I find the initial setup very simple and easy to get started with. Google Tag Manager offers flexibility and user-friendly management of all tags without needing developers or waiting on code deploys. The broader ecosystem is incredible, with a large community eager to help, and the 'template gallery' is a great resource for finding new tag templates. Many high-quality tags are contributed by the community and can be found on platforms like GitHub. The open-source nature of these templates allows me to adjust them to my needs. I've been using it for over ten years, and I truly value the continuous support form the community. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Google Tag Manager?

Consent Management is complex. Debugging why GA4 events weren't pushed (or have incomplete data) can be very painful. Consent Management is also forced on to you by Google (probably through EU GDPR). There's a lot of information to be found, but it's scattered and not all accurate anymore because the platform can change. It would be helpful if Google flagged consent better in tags and explained which data is omitted and why from the debugger. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Easy-to-Use Google tag That Empowers Marketers and Simplifies Integrations"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Google Tag Manager?

Google tag takes away the load from a developer'e end and gives the freedom to a marketeer to perform their actions.

It is easy UI.

It is a necessity to have rather than an option.

We have connected it multiple external tools like meta, snapchat, tiktok etc. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Google Tag Manager?

For anyone who does not understand tags and triggers, there could be a learning curve.

Usually the tools that are integrated directly have a higher load than the tools implemented directly. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Solid tag management that empowers the marketing team"
4/5
What do you like best about Google Tag Manager?

Google Tag Manager makes it incredibly easy to deploy and manage tracking tags without needing developer involvement every time. The interface is intuitive and the built-in tag templates save a lot of time when setting up standard integrations like Google Analytics or Facebook Pixel. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Google Tag Manager?

The debugging and preview mode can be a bit confusing at first, especially when dealing with complex trigger configurations. The learning curve for more advanced features like custom JavaScript variables and data layer manipulation is steep for non-technical team members. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Google Tag Manager?

The versatility it offers and especially the autonomy in implementing measurement pixels on the web for profiles that are not excessively technical. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Google Tag Manager?

Like any technical tool, the learning curve is not quick. Additionally, it requires a minimum knowledge in the initial implementation of the tag that will serve as the general container. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
