"Great way to add scripts without touching code"
5/5
What do you like best about Google Tag Manager?

Google Tag Manager is great for a lot of reasons, but one that benefits us the most is that you can add and update scripts running on your site without having to involve a developer (once it's set up, of course) and/or going through the whole process of changing the code base. It just reduces so much overhead in terms of dev team involvement. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Google Tag Manager?

There's a decent learning curve, and it can be somewhat confusing at times, especially when you are just getting started with it. Still, it's a great tool to use and it does its job well. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

A seemingly strong application that helps manage your tags from marketing channels such as Google Ads, Google Analytics, Facebook Ads, AdRoll, and more. Makes the website load faster as it makes the tags fire when requires. Account management is also advantageous as it allows many types of access levels. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Save time, money and headaches: track your website in minutes"
5/5
What do you like best about Google Tag Manager?

TagManager lets you inject javascript inside your website without putting your hands on the code.

Built-in triggers and variables are enough for most cases, but adding new ones is extremely easy.

Managing complex tracking plans is easy thanks to internal variables and the grouping of tags.

The preview mode is so powerful that it makes debugging a simple (and almost fun) task, with comprehensive info on the activated triggers, the populated variables, and the fired/not-fired tags.

Access control adopts the standard Google architecture so that you can add and manage different users and their access privileges straightforwardly and intuitively. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Google Tag Manager?

Versioning is present, but reverting to an old version is not as easy as you would expect. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Hands-Down, The Most Convenient Way To Place Pixels And Other Code Snippets"
5/5
What do you like best about Google Tag Manager?

Before using Google Tag Manager, I would have to log into the website admin AND whatever tool I was grabbing the code from (CRM, email client, Facebook Business Manager, etc.) for every client. This was time-consuming. Plus I had to check every page manually. Google Tag Manager lets me put all the pixels and code snippets in one place. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Google Tag Manager?

The learning curve for Google Tag Manager is a little steep. It took me a few tries before I was comfortable with the platform. But once I spent that time to figure things out ONCE, I've saved time every single project since. So it was definitely worth it. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
