What we like most about google forms is the variety of options that it allows for creating a form. Many of the forms we create require many different kinds of responses, and we have never run into a problem with having the certain type of response available through the software. There is not much to dislike about google forms. At times, depending on the complexity and variety of responses required, it sometimes takes a long time to make the template. When I first started using google forms, it took me a bit to really understand how to use it. It is super easy to create your form, everybody is capable to do without no development knowledge, just drag and drop the fields and write the questions.

You can split your questions in separate pages and the integration with Google Sheets is great, the results goes directly to a spreadsheet making it very easy to create statistics from the results.

Also you can make the forms open to everyone, anonymous or for specific persons. You can also set who has permission to see the results. It is not pretty, it is not the best UX and you can't create more complex user flows like next questions based on the answer of previous one. It is very easy to design forms using the product, and to a certain extent the visual appearance can be customized (pictures, background color, etc.). It is easily accessed by my colleagues who also frequently use Google Forms. It is easy to see the data in real time, and to modify questions in real time if needed. The data can be exported into a spreadsheet easily, and the resultant spreadsheet can also be analyzed within Google Sheets. Questions cannot be formatted (e.g., line breaks, boldface text, italicized text). The types of questions that can be asked are limited (e.g., no scaled responses). There do not seem to be many templates for commonly used types of forms. The form does not collect data on when people completed it, how long they took to complete it, etc. If I need to collect very important and detailed data, I will use Qualtrics instead because I find its analysis to be more detailed and its question types to be more varied. Google forms is a very simple and easy tool, especially for those who have never done a search before. The graphics that are formed are great, very visual and intuitive. One of the things I like most is the possibility to change the format of the question while it is still available. I also like the possibility to update any questions while the form is running. Using Google Forms is quick and quite straightforward. It is also free of cost, so for institutions with lesser budgets, fantastic survey forms can be created without having to incur huge costs on expensive systems. It's very easy to use and also really quick if you want to train someone for using it. In short, it is really hassle free and I would highly recommend this application to all my other fellows. Everything simply gets assimilated without any effort and the results are automatically saved into google sheets which can further be used for analysis of data. Another positive point that I feel is that people respond quickly and happily to google forms surveys when compared to surveys with hardcopy of response sheet. I haven't experienced much of problems while using Google forms since it is really very simple to use. However, it is very basic in nature and thus you can't use it for advanced data manipulation. Also, thinking of conducting an exam is not at all possible in google form since in the exams we need a proper timer and invigilation. Overall, Google forms are really nice but some additional features for data analysis and interpretation would make the application a heaven for researchers like us. Google Forms are the easiest way of taking out surveys, feedback's and inputs from group of people in the most sophisticated manner, which is easiest and also quite fastest way of generating reports.

Forms provides no limit over number of responses and I think that makes it the best among any other rival.

Apart from this Google forms are easy to work with, All the editing tools are there, whether you want to make quizzes, surveys or feedback's.

The formatting tools can be made better for more creativity in generating any form. We have only 4 types of fonts and that makes it so basic to use.

I like how easy the application is to create and manage. The various options of text type are actually helpful and easy to create. It satisfies the user's needs for different types of questions and answers. Various types such as:

Short answer, long answer, radio button, paragraph styles , dropdown menu is very nicely supported.

If you want to create a quiz or other type of assessment with closed-ended questions, Google Forms will auto grades it for you. Turning on just the “ Make this a quiz ", is required which I found flexible as an option. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

The application is overall great as it is created by great and creative minds in Google. If there is one thing I dislike is (very hard to choose) is a dynamic excel sheet. The application allows exporting to an excel format. But if I want to change the format and make it dynamic, as in for a daily check form, the results increase, according to which a percentage is calculated. What I like best about Google Forms is the application's ability to cut down on broad and usless group e-mails, where often times a simple question can get lost in a sea of e-mails, going back and forth to come to a simple decision. With Google Forms, I can simply create a short questionnaire to receive feedback on how employees think things are going, see what time works best for people for an upcoming engagement, and even Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

As with most applications, there are always things that can be improved upon. With Google Forms, I'd say the trickiest part is actually creating the form, there are all sorts of options and for those who are slightly technologically disadvantaged, Google forms can become confusing very quickly. I like that it is easy to create and share a Google Form even if you're not particularly tech savvy. For multiple choice tests and quizzes, it works without problems. The best thing about Google Forms is simplicity. The part where there is the need to make the form is very much user-friendly. There are myriad options to choose from while setting a form. Next, the filling part is a piece of cake. The forms are equally accessible and hassle-free to fill from smartphones, making them very mobile. Recently, I had made a google sheet for my project. The only issue I faced was the inability to make custom-graphical representation for the 'Summary' tab responses.
