Most time-saving is that it can pull and publish app metadata from stores, like screenshots, descriptions, etc. Code signing is also time taking step, which Fastlane also handles. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com. What do you dislike about fastlane? Setting up the Fastlane, basically for iOS doesn't seem to be easy, I am always stuck somewhere and find difficulties. The main reason for that I think Fastlane documentation needs some improvements with more code examples, and it can have a different section for a complete setup, defining all the steps. The dependency management of Fastlane is world-class. Apart from automating the flows, the environment management in the lanes is too good. Even though it claims to support all the third-party tools to be used in the automation, some of the major players like app centre support aren't integrated. I like Fastlane's Integrated model. It enables the developer to use app distribution in just taps. Before Fastlane, I have used major app distribution methods which were headache processes. Also, the feature of app store deployment saved our time by a huge rate. Before Fastlane, we had to invest our work hours with the task. But since we got Fastlane, it saved our time. And it also enables us to save our time for testing purposes to distribute apps among our clients before we launch them to the app store.
