I like being able to look up different locations in Google Earth Pro. It gives me the availability to view the area as if I am really there. It helps me to see the visual versus looking at a 2D Map. The only downside that I can see is that there is no easy way to allow for cloud storage for your personal pins, placemarks, starting points, etc. You have go through the registry to make those changes. Google Earth Pro has benefited me in the past because I was able to make overhead maps of areas with the actual views of the buildings for wayfinding diagrams.
