Google dms can be configured as serverless. That enables us with more to migrate at our windows and more cost control. Theere was very less points to consider even where we were performing heterogeneous migration. That allowed us to focus more on application compatibility and performance. The migration process took us months to close including sandbox tests but we had that projection as per our volume of data. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com. What problems is Google Database Migration Service solving and how is that benefiting you? Application performance and transaction isolation was our primary concern for couple of years and the only way to solve that was to move to postgres from existing legacy MySQL db.
