"GCP often offers lower prices compared to some competitors"
What do you like best about Google Compute Engine?

Google's pricing structure is well designed, especially for compute and storage resources. GCE has really low latency access from many location around the world, we used the GCE as a proxy server. We've also used to use S3 for serving education videos on our specialized LMS system. The pricing jump from Amazon S3 to Google Cloud Storage is huge win for us. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Google Compute Engine?

We extensively use GCE, but there is a pain point in it. The configuration management is mid compared to Amazon EC2, for integrating our api services. We had to find workaround for it to work. Though it has low latency network, the jump from EC2 in the latency perspective wasn't that Huge. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Google Compute Engine: Flexible and Scalable for Real-World Workloads"
What do you like best about Google Compute Engine?

What I like most about GCE is its flexibility and scalability. Spinning up VMs is quick and easy, and we can choose the exact CPU, memory, and storage configurations we need for different workloads. It integrates seamlessly with other Google Cloud services, which made it straightforward for our team to manage cloud infrastructure alongside our on-prem systems. The monitoring and logging features are also solid — we can track performance and system events in real time, which has been crucial for keeping our applications stable. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Google Compute Engine?

The biggest challenge with GCE is that cost can grow quickly if resources aren’t carefully managed, especially with high-performance VMs. Some of the networking configurations, like firewall rules and VPC setups, are powerful but can be a bit confusing for new team members. Also, while the console is comprehensive, there’s a learning curve when managing multiple projects or regions. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"My personal experience"
What do you like best about Google Compute Engine?

The best thing about Google Computer Engine is the it's very fast compare to other cloud provider.

So, when I am using azure or AWS service whenever I launch a service it will take 1 or 2 minute to create and functions but in Google compute Engine. Whenever I launch a service it will immediately available for me with 10 or 15 seconds.

That's is the best thing which I like about Google Compute Engine

And surely has a Good support for Kubernetes unlike other Cloud provider Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Google Compute Engine?

1 - Optima recommendations do not currently support by google

Custom instance types can not be used to launch new instances, but they are supported for running instances and in cost management Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Powerful, Flexible, and Scalable Solution for Cloud Computing"
What do you like best about Google Compute Engine?

Google Compute Engine offers excellent scalability, allowing us to adjust resources quickly based on demand. The integration with other Google Cloud services is seamless, which is a major advantage for projects requiring multiple resources. The virtual machines are highly customizable, providing flexibility for a wide range of applications. Additionally, Compute Engine’s robust performance and availability have made it a dependable choice for our infrastructure needs. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Google Compute Engine?

One downside is the complex pricing structure, which can be a bit challenging to navigate, especially for beginners. The support can also sometimes be slower than expected, particularly for lower-tier plans, which may impact response time for critical issues. Improving customer support availability and clarity on pricing would enhance the overall user experience. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
