Monthly cost calculator is fairly informative.

**What do you dislike about Google Compute Engine?**

GPU instances sometimes are not very reliable (regarding the driver; the instance crashes randomly when installing/using the drivers on some Google-provided images).
Networking bandwidth across multiple GPU instances sometimes flucturates.

**What problems is Google Compute Engine solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Providing GPU compute.

**What do you like best about Google Compute Engine?**

Compute engine is intuitive to use and fast to deploy.

**What do you dislike about Google Compute Engine?**

The only dislike I have about google compute engine is the inabilty to use single session windows desktop licenses as images.

**What problems is Google Compute Engine solving and how is that benefiting you?**

google compute engine is allowing us to scale databases and services to our end users at great speeds.

  ### 46. Compute engine

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Financial Services | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**What do you like best about Google Compute Engine?**

cost effective - it does power our vertex ai workbench

**What do you dislike about Google Compute Engine?**

some of the machines are quite pricey- I dont see naything else other than that

**What problems is Google Compute Engine solving and how is that benefiting you?**

we have lot of AI ML solutions and the ability it has with auto scaling does help us in cost optimization

  ### 47. Would like to see more Arm based compute options

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Semiconductors | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 10, 2024

**What do you like best about Google Compute Engine?**

VMs spin up very fast compared to other clouds. Was very suprirsed by this.

**What do you dislike about Google Compute Engine?**

Not enough Arm options. Cost savings against performance is an important factor to many.

**What problems is Google Compute Engine solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I do performance analysis on cloud platforms. GCE is an easy to use platform for this work.

  ### 48. Virtual Cloud Machine

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 27, 2023

**What do you like best about Google Compute Engine?**

Best thing about Google Compute engine tool or platform would be it's workload optimisation that's help us in memory compute optimisation, great performance of cloud compute engine with highest CPU and GPU performance. Other features are that can be considered as best for this tool or platform as of now as follow as per me local compute, migration plugins such as vCenter., Cloud VPN., etc

**What do you dislike about Google Compute Engine?**

No, nothing to dislike as feature as of now. Integrations are best for Aws and Azur.

**What problems is Google Compute Engine solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Benefited us in virtualition of cloud server and infrastructure. And auto scaling of cloud infrastructure.

  ### 49. Easy to use compute services

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer & Network Security | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 09, 2024

**What do you like best about Google Compute Engine?**

Its very easy to configure and I like using the templates google provides as a foundation.

**What do you dislike about Google Compute Engine?**

I found that the initial custom software installation could probably be easier to setup.

**What problems is Google Compute Engine solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use it to run workload and facilitate access to other services in gcp

  ### 50. Google Compute Engine is fast, inexpensive, and powerful

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Brian R. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 31, 2023

**What do you like best about Google Compute Engine?**

GCE lets me spin up VMs quickly and easily, and at a price point that makes it affordable, both to scale in number and in power. When I need to scale up my hardware, it only takes two minutes to get back online, which takes a lot of the anxiety of waiting out of the experience.

**What do you dislike about Google Compute Engine?**

Setting up robust VM disk snapshots requires me to use a utility, because our retention policy can't be represented in the automatic snapshot capabilities, nor are they built to quiesce the databases.

**What problems is Google Compute Engine solving and how is that benefiting you?**

GCE let's us operate individual, dedicated customer environments without cross customer exposure risks or permission leaks. We can also easily scale these solutions to their individual needs.
