I like Google Cloud Storage because it provides a reliable, scalable, and cost-effective way to store large volumes of data without managing physical infrastructure. In my professional work, I used it to store application files, CSV and JSON data exports, logs, and intermediate processing files for analytics and automation workflows. I regularly accessed data using the GCP Console, gsutil commands, and service account–based API access. Integration with services like BigQuery, Cloud Functions, and Dataflow made it easy to move and process data across pipelines. Features such as lifecycle rules, versioning, and IAM-based access control helped manage storage efficiently and securely. What do you dislike about Google Cloud Storage? When we grew there few limitation that came into play. First of all, EU / governments for which we were doing software didn't want US company to store data. We were migrating everything to managed postgres outside of GCP. Additionally, authentication for users was very much linked to GCP and we had to invent a method to change it, which led to some problems with Firebase/firestore.
