Talking about the best, I think the analytics feature is the most valuable. Out-of-box data insights integrated with big-data analytics and ML services like Cloud Dataflow, Cloud Bigtable, etc., are best for real-time analysis when connected through a custom pipeline. If there is any bug within it, there are chances that our and our subscribers' data can be accessed. It can be improved if more security features like two-factor authentication are included. Google IOT Core gives the ease of registring devices and making Iot deployment faster. The option to have mutiple datastream helps in data managment. All payload have the neccesary information to identify and segregrate the devices. What do you dislike about Google Cloud IoT Core? Certain features like device state have a throttle limit of updating only once per second. If your device tries multiple times within a second, then the connection is dropped. This becomes a pain as you have to ensure that the device is not reporting state while it's offline and doesn't send all the state messages at once when the device goes online. Building a Cyber-Physical System to keep check of drinking water in a building and using iot core to configure and automate tasks in the building. Google Cloud IoT analyzes data both at the edge and in the cloud. It is a complete set of tools that helps connect and store information and it is fully managed by cloud services. Savings of up to 57% without up-front fees or instance-type lock-in. You can pick any configuration of CPU and memory to save up to 48% compared to fixed machine types from other clouds. I like that you pay for services as needed, you save money and can focus on innovating. There are no termination fees so we can stop paying for services the second we turn it off. The prices are not reasonable especially for small business owners and Entrepreneurs. You pay per second, which is how a cloud should work but it becomes pricey. It's really convenient for deploying IOT systems. The organizational structure really helps us keep track of projects. What do you dislike about Google Cloud IoT Core? Could improve on the beginner documentation in my opinion. Recommendations to others considering Google Cloud IoT Core: I would advise a novice to get familiar with cloud services before getting started with using Google IOT core. What problems is Google Cloud IoT Core solving and how is that benefiting you? I've used it to build a plug and play universal IOT system for carbon content and water quality monitoring. Remote control of sensors is, in my opinion, the biggest benefit that the system provides. Also, the support of various communication protocols such as MQTT and I2C makes it very convenient to use. I have experience using GCP and other cloud services. I found GCP to be more cost efficient, easy to use and manageable platform.One of the biggest advantage of using GCP is it's performance. Data store is backed by Spanner and Colossus, which is the most performant data storage combination available so far.
