What do you dislike about Google Cloud Interconnect? well, Google Cloud Interconnect is the best fit for large businesses but draining for small or medium businesses. Even though it is easier to implement and integrate, it is highly demanding in maintenance. altogether it is not so cost-effective for some businesses, like: +A proper infrastructure is required to implement it +You'll need to commit to a minimum bandwidth level, and +You'll require experts for its maintenance and working. Google Cloud is not sheets, docs or gmail. It is a strong set of services beating hard to Azure and AWS. Technically its services are so good that some companies are leaving AWS for GCP. There are few highlights worth mention: 1) pricing is better (billing by the minute - not hour as competition 2) their network capabilities are extraordinary and 3) strong security. One functionality perfect for VMs migration is the live migration or live disk resize. The analytics and cognitive services offerings are pretty much unique as it is not fair to compare their experience and results with other players. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com. What do you dislike about Google Cloud Interconnect? Networking pricing is expensive. This is not just Google, but AWS and others too. We get free worldwide private transit with Softlayer and this would be a huge cost on Google for our current load. We do worldwide database replication with almost 1Gbps of sustained traffic currently at Softlayer, with no cost. Choice of programming languages is limited unlike AWS. Some Java API’s supported in AWS are not available in the App Engine. It’s not easy to transition away from Google Cloud Platform . Review collected by and hosted on G2.com. Recommendations to others considering Google Cloud Interconnect: While powerful, Google Cloud Platform services can be complex to piece together,the integration of Cloud Source Repositories with other Google Cloud tools lets your team to go from code to deployment in minutes, all while managing versioning and aliasing. You even get the ability to perform production debugging on the fly by using built-in monitoring logging tools.This foundation will ensure that your operations team can respond effectively within your defined service level objectives.
