As a GCP DevOps Engineer I majorly like it's VPC creation as it is only Google Cloud which allow global vpc creation. Apart from that it's GKE is one of the best managed solutions for orchestration, also GCS, Bigquery and many other solutions which Google Cloud provide are best and team is automating and innovating as well. You can centrally manage your google cloud account from the Google Cloud Identity platform. To have multiple layer of security, from here, you can enable multi-factor authentication. You can also manage the same users of different accounts from the Google Cloud Identity platform, i.e. single sign-on (SSO). What do you dislike about Google Cloud Identity Platform? One of the significant disadvantages is that it's not a cloud-agnostic service, and you rely entirely on Google. What do you dislike about Google Cloud Identity Platform? Switch over between accounts when you have multiple GCP accounts. It makes it hard to work on the UI. Google Cloud Identity and Access Management allow admins to limit and control user activities based on their roles and responsibilities. Google Cloud IAM provides a hierarchical structure. The primary step of Cloud IAM Google follows the authentication of each user. We can create groups, and the admin has control to assign permissions to users and groups that allow them to perform specific actions/services. Roles are groups of licenses, and the admin can assign roles through policies to each user or group. Users can authenticate in three ways: user account, service account and API key. Google Cloud IAM specifies two types of groups: all authenticated users and all users. We can create and manage google cloud resources with the help of google cloud identity and access management. The only feature that I dislike is although the account is intelligently protected, it is challenging to complete the multi-factor authentication if you don't have access to your mobile.
