I like the fact that the Google CDN reach is really global, with more than 90 sites around the world for caching. But best of all, I absolutely love the fact that our website could be secured to HTTPS (with an SSL certificate) at no additional cost. **What do you dislike about Google Cloud CDN?** Support time is quite long as compared to others in the industry. **Recommendations to others considering Google Cloud CDN:** The pricing is great. I recommend anyone to try. The free SSL at no additional charge is simply great. This combines performance with security, which greatly pleased us and met our objectives. **What do you dislike about Google Cloud CDN?** I do not have a dislike as such because their CDN is amazing. However a more dedicated and faster customer and technical support would be amazing. **Recommendations to others considering Google Cloud CDN:** I recommend without hesitation. The content is secure and the rights and access control are enforced both for enabling content delivery and removing content. **What do you dislike about Google Cloud CDN?** There really is nothing to dislike in the Google Cloud CDN. It is similar to other CDN's but it has the reach and large worldwide infrastructure of Google. **Recommendations to others considering Google Cloud CDN:** While it is not the only CDN available, the Google Cloud CDN leverages Google's vast cloud expertise and ability to manage enormous data to achieve a reliability that is unmatched. **What problems is Google Cloud CDN solving and how is that benefiting you?** We need to make content available to paying customers. The content is not always ours and we have to abide by the contractual limitations on the content such as when it can be advertised, who can have access, and what time period the content can be made available. In addition we need to reconcile the consumption of the content with our accounting system both to pay royalties to the content providers as well as to charge the customers for the content. ### 4. They have comprehensive security protocols, SSL included in the platform costs, and super easy integration into the other Google Cloud products via the GCP Console. They also support newer protocols like HTTP/2 and cache invalidation, further decreasing latency for website loading. Lastly, Google has a very high standard for SLA and up-time in general - combining this with their vast amount of locations for data-centers (currently over 90), you're going to get very high-quality CDN service with this product for their very competitive pricing. **What do you dislike about Google Cloud CDN?** There isn't really much to dislike here. The pricing is competitive, and if your company already has existing infrastructure that is set up on Google Cloud Platform or any other Google Cloud products, this product is definitely worth using rather than going to competitors like Amazon Web Services, unless you're looking for very specific data-center locations. **Recommendations to others considering Google Cloud CDN:** Like I mentioned before, if you have any sort of existing products that are hosted on the Google Cloud Platform, adding the CDN service that Google provides is super simple via the Google Cloud Console. If you're looking reduce latency and add normal CDN features to your websites and static files, this service is awesome! **What problems is Google Cloud CDN solving and how is that benefiting you?** We implemented Google Cloud CDN as an edge service for some of our bucket storage and websites. This greatly increased the loading speed of all of our static websites and files, and greatly helped us off-load some of the high network capacity that we were incurring on our servers. ### 5. Many developers, such as me, Will use google's services over others. One of the main reasons for this is because of how good google is with implementing software that is easy to use and is available for everyone. Google CDN will find cache data and use that over having to download the same content for different websites. this increases my website's load times. **What do you dislike about Google Cloud CDN?** Like anything else, google is not perfect. Google can be inconsistent, from what I tested. In some tests that I've done in my free time, it will sometimes load the cached data really quick. however, other times it takes a bit of time for the content to be received. **Recommendations to others considering Google Cloud CDN:** Use it. No matter how "hard" it seems to implement, it's well worth your time. It can easily be implemented into most sites and will decrease loading times. **What problems is Google Cloud CDN solving and how is that benefiting you?** Retrieving content using google's method makes everything run smoother and faster, since many domains already use google's CDN as well. Our problem was, how do we make sure all of our websites loaded correctly in the fastest time possible. ### 6.
