I find it quickly updates. **What do you dislike about Google Authenticator?** I had difficulty setting it up. I could not understand how to use it initially. **What problems is Google Authenticator solving and how is that benefiting you?** It is improving safety. Meaning if you don't take a picture with another device and you lose your phone. You lose all google authenticator sites. I was lookimg to change to authy **What problems is Google Authenticator solving and how is that benefiting you?** Two factor authentication on a multitude of sites. lastpass, vultr, codeanywhere, voip, wasabai, etc ### 3. 2-Step OTP Passwords for Any Site **Rating:** 1.5/5.0 stars **Reviewed by:** Anthony B. | Operations Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.) **Reviewed Date:** February 17, 2019 **What do you like best about Google Authenticator?** Google Authenticator can create OTP passwords for any web site or service, not just for Google products, which is what I initially thought. **What do you dislike about Google Authenticator?** I found the passwords that it created to be unreliable, and would expire before they should, or sometimes flat out not work. **Recommendations to others considering Google Authenticator:** Thoroughly test if it works with your software, as we found it to be buggy. **What problems is Google Authenticator solving and how is that benefiting you?** To increase security, some services we use require 2-step authentication, where time expiring passwords are used.
