"Fantastic free option to check visitor stats on your website!"
What do you like best about Google Analytics?

I like that Google analytics has so much data it can get on the customers you have and that you know exactly where they come from how they got there and where they went on your site. Being able to integrate with Google Ads is nice as you can know exactly when someone bought a product by setting up a goal.

I love the Google site kit plugin they have brought out to be able to quickly get your wordpress site connected to Google analytics and Search console. Those two in conjunction work extremely well and the setup is super easy and quick with Google Site Kit.

Also who can complain about free! It is a fantastic value!! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Google Analytics?

Sometimes there is an overwhelming amount of information that you can get. I don't even understand it all so I probably use only 20% of what I could be using don't know if the help is the best.

Though they do have a quick view on the dashboard, having some kind of non advanced version with quick ways to get to things that you could switch from advanced to basic I think would be great. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Worth the effort if your serious about data"
What do you like best about Google Analytics?

Honestly, the thing that stood out most for me is how detailed the data insights are. We can literally track where our visitors are coming from, which pages they spend time on, and how they move through the site. For our team, this has been a game changer we can actually see if someone is wasting time on the wrong areas and redirect efforts accordingly.

The customization is also something i really appreciate. You can rearrange the dashboard, add metrics like bounce rate or specific events like add-to-cart, and save it all based on what the client or management needs at that point. No need to rebuild everything from scratch each time requirements change.

What really impressed me working in the aftermarket spare parts industry is the Purchase Journey report. It shows the full funnel visually so you can pinpoint exactly where customers are dropping off, whether its between viewing a product or actually adding it to cart. Once you see that, you can take targeted action like improving social proof or tweaking the UI. Very practical for factory owners or product-heavy businesses.

The real-time Insights feature also saves alot of time. Instead of digging through every single report manually, it automatically flags trends like which device types are peaking or which traffic sources are spiking. Super helpful when your managing multiple accounts. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Google Analytics?

One thing that actually frustrated me in my day to day work is the data delay. sometimes we need to check performance same day to report to client or management but GA4 takes like 24 to 48 hours to fully process the data. and on top of that the numbers dont always match with what we see in our ad platforms which creates confusion during reporting.

Also when we shifted from UA to GA4 we lost all our old historical data which was really painful. we had years of trend data for our clients and suddenly we had to start fresh. maintaining two systems at same time was not practical at all. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Essential Insight Tool with Easy Setup"
What do you like best about Google Analytics?

I use Google Analytics to get insights into my website traffic, which aids in business development for my company. I love that the user interface is very readable and engaging. I enjoy tracking the stats week to week and viewing trends in the data. The insights tab also helps clarify information. Setting up Google Analytics was super simple—you just make an account and paste some code. I'd say it's very easy to use, and I would definitely recommend Google Analytics to others. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Google Analytics?

I don’t have many complaints. More data being shown on the overview page would be a bonus but not required. Showcasing more data and insights on the overview page without having to click around the different pages to piece this stuff together. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Powerful Website Data Collection and Visualization with Google Analytics"
What do you like best about Google Analytics?

Google Analytics allows businesses to collect and visualize vast amounts of website data. I use this data to better understand how my website is working like which pages are most popular or which ones are converting visitors into customers the best. It gives me an idea of where my traffic is coming from based on country or device. All of this helps me make better decisions when designing my websites. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Google Analytics?

It is not always intuitive for how to find and analyze specific data. There are so many options for filtering data, that if you don't know where to click, it can be difficult to see the exact data you are looking for. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Deep Insights and Powerful Dashboards for Data-Driven Decisions"
What do you like best about Google Analytics?

What I like most about Google Analytics is the depth of insight it provides into website performance and user behaviour. It allows you to track key metrics such as traffic sources, engagement, and conversions, helping to clearly understand what’s working and where improvements are needed. The reporting and dashboards are highly useful for making data-driven decisions, and the ability to segment audiences adds valuable detail. Overall, it’s a powerful tool for measuring performance and optimising digital strategies. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Google Analytics?

One drawback of Google Analytics is that it can be quite complex, especially for new users, with a steep learning curve to fully understand its features and data structure. The transition to GA4 has also made some reporting less intuitive, requiring more setup to access familiar metrics. Additionally, extracting very specific insights can sometimes take more time than expected due to the way reports and dimensions are structured. Overall, it’s a powerful tool, but it can require expertise and ongoing configuration to get the most value from it. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Actionable, Scalable Insights with Custom Reporting in Google Analytics"
What do you like best about Google Analytics?

1. Actionable Data, Not Just Traffic Counts

Google Analytics provides clear insight into how users actually interact with a site—where they enter, what they engage with, and where they drop off—so decisions can be based on real behavior rather than guesswork.

2. Granular Audience Segmentation

It enables detailed breakdowns by demographics, device, location, and behavior, making it easier to understand specific user groups and tailor efforts accordingly.

3. Conversion Tracking & Attribution

It tracks user journeys across multiple touchpoints, helping identify which marketing efforts are truly driving results and revenue.

4. Real-Time Monitoring

It offers immediate visibility into active users and current activity, which is especially useful during launches, campaigns, or troubleshooting.

5. Customizable Reporting

Dashboards and reports can be tailored to focus on the metrics that matter most, reducing noise and improving clarity for decision-making.

6. Integration with Other Tools

It connects smoothly with platforms like Google Ads and Search Console, creating a more unified view of overall marketing performance.

7. Scalable for Growth

It works well for small websites, but it’s also robust enough to support enterprise-level tracking and analysis without needing to switch platforms.

8. Cost-Effective (Free Tier)

It provides a strong analytics foundation at no cost, lowering the barrier to entry for high-quality data tracking.

9. Ease of Use

The menus and overall flow make it straightforward to navigate the dashboards and find what you need.

Overall, Google Analytics stands out as a practical, data-driven tool that turns user behavior into clear, measurable insights, making it easier to refine strategy and improve outcomes over time. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Google Analytics?

1. Tagging and Event Setup Can Be Complex

Setting up tags, events, and conversions isn’t always straightforward—especially for users without a technical or analytics background. It often requires additional tools like Google Tag Manager and a solid understanding of tracking logic, which can slow down implementation and increase the chance of mistakes.

2. Steep Learning Curve (Especially GA4)

The move to GA4 introduced a new data model and interface that can be challenging to work with. Many key metrics and reports feel less obvious than in earlier versions, so it takes time to relearn workflows and find the data you need.

3. Reporting Can Feel Less Intuitive

The standard reports can feel more limited and may require extra customization to pull out meaningful insights. In many cases, you have to build explorations or create custom reports to access information that used to be easier to locate.

4. Data Accuracy Depends Heavily on Setup

The quality of the insights depends heavily on how well tracking is configured. If tagging is incomplete, events are misconfigured, or parameters are missed, it can create gaps in the data or lead to misleading conclusions—so ongoing validation and maintenance are often necessary. "Indispensable Source of Truth for Website & Campaign Performance"
What do you like best about Google Analytics?

Google Analytics has been indispensable for understanding how customers find and interact with our website, giving us visibility into traffic sources, user behavior, conversion paths, and campaign performance all in one place. The integration with Google Ads, Search Console, and Google Merchant Center gives us a connected view of how paid and organic efforts are driving results without reconciling data across separate tools. Custom reports and explorations in GA4 allow us to answer specific business questions and surface the metrics that matter most to our team. For a marketing team that relies heavily on data, Google Analytics has been the central source of truth for website and campaign performance. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Google Analytics?

GA4 was a significant departure from Universal Analytics and the transition required a considerable amount of time to relearn reporting structures and rebuild the custom reports we had relied on previously. The interface can feel unintuitive at times, and finding specific data points often requires more clicks and configuration than it should. Data sampling in larger reports can also reduce accuracy, which is frustrating when making important budget decisions based on the numbers. Session-based metrics and attribution modeling have also changed in ways that make year over year comparisons difficult. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Powerful, Flexible Insights with Deep Integrations Across the Google Ecosystem"
What do you like best about Google Analytics?

What I like best about Google Analytics is how powerful and flexible it is once you really get into it. Over the years, it’s become my go-to for understanding not just traffic, but actual user behavior—what people are doing on the site, where they’re dropping off, and what’s actually driving conversions.

I especially appreciate the depth of insights you can get with proper setup—things like event tracking, funnels, and audience segmentation. Being able to break down data by channel, device, or even very specific user actions helps a lot in making informed decisions rather than just guessing.

Another big plus is how well it integrates with other tools in the ecosystem—Google Ads, Search Console, BigQuery—which makes it much easier to connect the dots across campaigns and performance.

It does have a learning curve, especially with GA4, but once you get past that, it’s incredibly valuable for both day-to-day reporting and long-term strategy. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Google Analytics?

What I dislike about Google Analytics—especially after the shift to GA4—is the steep learning curve and how unintuitive it can feel at times, even for someone experienced.

The transition from Universal Analytics to GA4 hasn’t been the smoothest. A lot of the standard reports and metrics we were used to are either gone, renamed, or require custom setup. Something as simple as pulling a quick report can take longer than it should, especially if you haven’t already built it.

Another challenge is data consistency and trust. Between sampling (in UA), thresholding in GA4, and differences in attribution models, it’s not always easy to get numbers that align across platforms or even within Google’s own tools. That can make stakeholder reporting a bit tricky.

Also, while GA4 is more flexible with event-based tracking, it often requires more upfront configuration and technical involvement. For smaller teams or non-technical users, that can be a barrier.

Overall, it’s still a powerful tool, but it’s definitely not as straightforward or user-friendly as it used to be. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Intuitive Analytics with Fast Telemetry and Seamless Integrations"
What do you like best about Google Analytics?

The real upsides are that I can get clear, actionable data on visitors to my site. This includes what their landing page was, how long it took them to click, which page they went to next, and what brought them to my site in the first place. And the interface is very intuitive unlike other platforms. I have the free tier but even if I did pay the information that is presented makes it a small price to pay. It integrates well with my SEO platforms and even my ELK stack that I use for single pane of glass. Even with the integrations into those the speed at which the telemetry arrives is fantastic. And there was little to no difficult setup. The onboarding was simple and basically point and click. I use this data in conjunction with my ChatGPT chatbot for advice on improvement and other indicators that I might overlook Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Google Analytics?

Not that much, honestly. That said, my site is personal and, in my mind, fairly simplistic, since I’m not tracking sales of services or goods. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Data-A Must-Have for Data-Driven Marketing, With Some Complexity"
What do you like best about Google Analytics?

Google Analytics provides a comprehensive, data-driven view of how users interact with our website and digital campaigns. I especially value its ability to track user behavior across channels, measure campaign performance, and identify trends that inform smarter marketing decisions. The depth of insights—from traffic sources to conversion paths—helps us clearly understand what’s working and where to optimize.

The platform’s integration with other Google tools (like Google Ads and Search Console) also makes it easy to connect marketing efforts and attribute results more effectively. Overall, it’s a powerful tool for turning data into actionable strategy. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Google Analytics?

Google Analytics can have a steep learning curve, especially with the transition to GA4. The interface and reporting structure aren’t always intuitive, which can make it difficult to quickly find the insights you need without prior experience or training. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
