There are limits to the data model. We process a large amount of data and that sometimes challenges our abiltity to create generic metrics. On-going support is the trade off when creating more specific metrics. The use of different report generation. We will struggle with converting off of the pixel perfect reports. I like the ability to manage multiple workspaces under one account - makes it a great option for freelancers/agencies. The ability to customize exactly what data you see in custom dashboards seems to be one of the strongest props of GoodData. It seems like the possibilies are endless. As a result, I feel never truly used it as strongly as I had hoped when I signed up. I believe a stronger onboarding process as well as some sort of "university" would be helpful. I do like that good data is a platform that has a relatively quick learning curve. The analyze function is great for in depth analysis, and the overall UI is quite friendly. Overall, the software requires too much configuration, and it is not easy at all. Documentation explaining the configurations is way too confusing. Short and precise "how to" videos should be designed and implemented. I would think that customers should send their data in the way that the customers want to access their data. This should mean that the data would simply need loaded into a database table, and optionally a view to that table. Instead, there are source tables, staging tables, working tables, output tables and views; as well as merge tables and differential tables. There are multiple processes to get the customer table through each of these table and all require configurations. Rethinking as a more "out of the box" should be considered. Usually customers choose this in the case of strict data governance or regulatory challenges.
