Using Gong has been incredibly beneficial in streamlining sales processes and improving team performance. The most helpful aspect of Gong is its ability to provide deep insights into sales conversations, offering detailed analytics on key metrics like talk time, sentiment, and specific keywords. It helps me identify what’s working and what’s not, allowing teams to fine-tune their approach based on real data, not just intuition.
The biggest upside of Gong is its ability to turn every sales call into actionable intelligence. You can easily track performance, coach reps effectively, and even identify trends in customer objections or interests.

**What do you dislike about Gong?**

While Gong offers a lot of valuable insights, there are a few drawbacks worth mentioning. First, the platform can be a bit overwhelming for new users due to its rich set of features and data points. The 'ask me anything' AI tool to gather insights on any account is cool, and the new scorecard on calls is amazing for self coaching!

**What do you dislike about Gong?**

ChatGPT, Gemini etc provide richer AI insights / recommendations on call analysis with MEDDPICC, and better email follow ups.

**What problems is Gong solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Gong helps tremendously with capturing all key conversations but also provides actionable insights and AI generated follow ups to reduce time spent taking notes and following up post call. The 'ask me anything' AI tool is a game changer, I now use this before 80% of my calls! 

We also use the forecast tool, and the seamless integration with Salesforce makes it so much easier to update opportunity notes, next steps, forecast bucket etc.

Gong provides us with an objective perspective on what our prospects and customers genuinely require. By examining each customer interaction, it enables our revenue teams to spot important trends, refine our messaging, and, in the end, secure more deals. For any team that interacts with customers, it is truly an essential tool.

So far, I haven't found anything to dislike—I like everything about it today.

There are a lot of things I love around gone one thing it particular that recently has been something I’ve used a lot is watching calls from the positions above me since I moved into a new role and seeing all the different things, it picks up and analyzes and using it as a tool to learn. And also has a lot of other great features around tracking pipeline. Your calls the AI features of how I can improve and be better. It’s just overall a super great product.

The only thing I can say is at times I struggle to find certain things, but it’s just cause it’s such a great product and could be complex but otherwise I think everything’s great

I’m new to this tool, my company just introduced me to it and I’m fascinated. It gives me valuable insights, even when I review previous interactions from before I joined the company. I also really love the feature of being able to ask general questions about the accounts

The only thing I dislike is that in the client timeline there isn’t an option to filter by month, so you have to scroll through everything to find what you need.

It takes a minute or 2 for Gong notetaker to join a meeting after it gets invited. If the meeting is an ongoing meeting. It would be great if the notetaker can join immediately. I've experienced this issue on Microsoft teams.

**What do you like best about Gong?**

Gong has been an essential part of my workflow as a Business Development Representative. I primarily use it to review Discovery meetings that my Sales Executives lead, helping me gather detailed notes, AI-generated insights, and action items. It makes it easy to go back, catch anything I missed live, and prepare stronger follow-up. In previous roles, I've also used Gong to listen to peer calls, which was incredibly helpful for coaching and sharpening my talk track. Gong makes learning, preparation, and ongoing improvement so much easier.

I haven’t had any negative experiences with Gong so far. My use has been somewhat limited to reviewing meetings and training, but in those areas, it has been consistently reliable, intuitive, and valuable.

What I like best about Gong is its ability to capture and analyze customer conversations with incredible detail. The AI-driven insights help us understand what's working in our sales calls, identify coaching opportunities and spot deal risks early. It's also great for aligning teams - everyone from sales to product can listen to real customer feedback and make data informed decisions. The visibility it provides into pipeline health and rep performance has been a game changer for our sales strategy. Gong also promotes alignment across teams- marketing, product and leadership can all hear the voice of the customer directly which helps drive smarter decisions. Overall, it's a powerful tool improving sales performance, team collaboration and strategic planning.

**What do you dislike about Gong?**

While Gong is very powerful, there are a few areas that could be improved. The platform can feel a bit overwhelming at first due to sheer volume of data and features, it takes time to fully understand and configure everything. Occasionally, the AI-generated insights or call transcriptions may miss context or misinterpret accents, which can affect accuracy. Additionally, the pricing can be a barrier for smaller teams and sometimes the mobile experience isn't as robust as the desktop version.

Gong solves several ley challenges in sales and customer engagement. it eliminates the guesswork from sales conversations by automatically recording, transcribing and analyzing calls. this helps me identify what's working where deals are at sick and how reps can improve. it also solves the problem id limited visibility - mangers no longer have to rely on secondhand updates, they can hear the voice of the customer directly. the insights gong provides helps me coach more effectively, forecast more accurately and align better across teams. As a result, I have seen improvements in win rates, onboarding speed and overall sales productivity.

Absolutely love that it frees me up from trying to listen and simultaneously take notes. It's also great for learning/watching how other colleagues pitch in a no pressure / non live environment.

The *only* think i dislike about Gong is how it interrupts the speaker to let everyone know that the meeting will be recorded. I believe this feature can be turned off, but it is helpful to let the attendees know.

Gong is very easy to use and has a lot of useful features. I particular love their AI features, which allow me to quickly find specific information from client conversations I and other team members have had in the past. I use it very often to get the context of a client.

I think it can sometimes it can be a hard interface to navigate. The automated action items are sometimes not completely accurate.

It allows me to understand the goals of a client and were certain action items are at. I like that it connects to my email. I especially like that I can ask it a question and it scans all calls associated with the client, so I can easily take a look at the specific call that goes over that topic.

The ability to not have to take notes while on a call has changed the way I am able to conduct calls with clients.  I can focus more on the discussion rather than having to take notes about everything the client says.  Instead I can go back and listen to the call or see the transcript of summary of the call.  This helps immensely.  I use Gong with every client meeting and call.

**What do you dislike about Gong?**

All of our emails are also imported into Gong.  While this can certainly be helpful, sometimes it is difficult to find specifically what I am looking for.

I find watching recordings of other people's calls invaluable for fast onboarding and understanding customer challenges. I love how Gong lets me engage with customers without worrying about taking notes. I can rely on Gong for detailed notes post-calls, ensuring I always give my best to customers.

I'd love if there was some kind of integration with ChatGPT that made it a little quicker to go through the process that I currently have.

Being able to score calls among peers or have feedback given is such a helpful way to level up and this is done so easily in Gong.  The UI is easy enough follow and the searching is fluid.  It integrate easily to our tools and has been a very complete call library.

**What do you dislike about Gong?**

Sometimes it does take awhile for calls to show up in Gong. I assume this is due to the thoroughness of the analyzations but still, if this process was sped up it would be a bit more helpful. At times it also appears to lag a bit. Sometimes slow to launch or load certain parts of the application.

**What problems is Gong solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Gong is helping our sales reps level up our conversations by identifying all aspects of a call and evaluating what is working.  We can also very easily leave helpful feedback and share alternative conversation ideas so we can all learn together.  Gong also helps to provide an accurate transcript of our calls which allows us to follow up with our customers using the most important points.  The AI analysis of this is quite impressive.  A final benefit would be having a near perfect library of calls and demonstrations going back years we can always reference when needed.

I find Gong invaluable for managing my sales pipeline and as a notetaker for calls, as it has significantly changed my life by saving me a lot of time. It records and uploads meeting notes to Salesforce automatically, freeing me from note-taking. This allows me to focus better on assessing conversations, knowing Gong handles note-taking. Gong offers features the previous platform lacked, such as robust call note-taking and advanced AI capabilities. Setting it up was easy, with helpful team support. I appreciate the insights Gong generates, helping us understand buyer intent and improve our sales forecast. The meeting notetaker and AI search for pipeline queries are essential features for me. Its ease of use and connectivity with other platforms make it a tool I'd buy again.

I am an SDR manager and Gong has been a game changer for me. The AI-driven insights are spot on and the summary write-ups are especially useful because they save me time while ensuring I stay on top of our pipeline deals. I also like that I can pick different speakers and listen to them only. This is a great feature because sometimes I want to know only what the prospect said.

While Gong is a powerful and intuitive tool, I have ethical concerns about the company's affiliations and stance on geopolitical issues, which impact my willingness to continue using it.

**What problems is Gong solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Super intuitive and smart platform. I can easily give feedback to my team and it helps them improve their approach and I get clear, actionable data to coach effectively.
I also don't have the time to watch 10-15 meeting records per week, which is why I like the AI-summary I receive after a call. Usually that gives me a good idea, on what was said in the call. If something is unclear or I am managing a new joiner, I'll go to the recording.

Seamless notetaking and recording of the call - ability to review highlights, to dos and the entire script

Sent emails do not integrate - since I use a CRM that syncs my email, it would allow me to see the entire picture of what I shared with a client.
The AI search is not great.

Gong not only records your call so you can listen back and review them later. It also transcribes the call so you can search key words and be taken directly where you want to go in the call. You can start outreach workflows with Gong Engage to help keep on top on prospects and it all integrates with our email, phones, and CRM. It is very easy to use and set up and the support with Gong has been excellent. We use it everyday to aid in our sales cycles.

Sometimes companies are mixed up in the system and a company you did not search for will pop up.

With so many calls a day it can be easy to mix up who said what and get all the details correct. That is no longer an issue with Gong.

I'm using Gong for customer advocate identification. The AI stream training is used for me to use specify quotes like "I love your product". It captures those for me.

**What do you dislike about Gong?**

Gong AI does need some additional training and doesn't always capture. The AI is restrictive to only gathering quotes, not overall sentiment, so there's a lot of filtering through that I need to do.

**What problems is Gong solving and how is that benefiting you?**

In customer marketing, I am not interested in sales, but advocacy and engagement. Gong is helping me by using the AI to identify people who are advocates by capturing quotes like "I love your product" or "This is the best!". I capture them and then ask them for an act of advocacy.

Having Gong automatically record training calls with customers, I am able to create an easy-to-access library of calls for the customer.  It also allows me to share snippets of important parts of the training as well as entire transcripts.  Without Gong, my day-to-day functions as an Onboarding and Implementation specialist would be 100 times more labor-intensive.

I would not call it a "dislike", but being able to mute the notification that the call is being recorded at the start of every call would be great.

Salesforce integration is game changer, provides data back to Salesforce. Quick implementation time, as it comes with a lot of connectors out of box.

We found other vendors charge half the price as Gong for similar features. Also they need to have option to users to configure UI based on their choice.

Analyzes the converations with customer over email, listen to the webex recordings and provide the key discussion points.
Highlights the area of the discussion when critical discussion points were raised.

It automagically records my calls and creates a briefing and transcript. I love the ability to create streams of calls, and I also love the ability to get summaries over time from an account. I appreciate that I can upload calls that weren't recorded on my end (ie when the customer hosts and doesn't approve my recorded).

The briefs are contextless and because I'm in a niche industry, it often misunderstands the names of tools and other things that are important. I wish I could provide it with a database of knowledge that I want it to know.

I use the gong briefing + transcript + my handwritten notes to write internal recaps and summaries that are highly strategic and contextual allowing me to have a high value repository of meeting artifacts, which enables me to manage the narrative of my customer.

It is extremely helpful to be able to quickly watch our sales + CS teams talk to clients directly and hear product painpoints / how the product is impacting the deal. We don't have time to listen to the full call, so the conversational intelligence is sooo valuable to click directly into the relevant parts of the convo.
