A voice clone that sounds exactly like me, sketch animations generated from a script, all without stepping in front of a camera. For the right use case, this tool has real potential. * Short videos under 2 minutes are where Golpo shines. Clean, fast, and worth the cost. * The voice clone quality is excellent. I was genuinely shocked at how accurate it was. * Frame edits using specific removal commands work better than the documentation suggests. "Remove the heart" actually worked. * Generating at night is significantly faster than during the day — a tip I discovered through trial and error that is not documented anywhere but made a real difference in output quality and speed. **What do you dislike about Golpo?** The credit system is where it gets frustrating. I had one video that was nearly perfect. One frame had a person with two faces. I edited that single frame and was charged 6 credits. A full video regeneration costs 8. I essentially paid to fix one frame almost as much as I would have paid to redo the entire video. That is the equivalent of going to a restaurant, ordering a hamburger, receiving a fish sandwich, and being charged for both. For a course with 12 videos, the credit spend adds up fast. If you need a quick 2-minute explainer video, it is a solid tool. If you are building a full course with longer videos and workbook integration, go in with eyes wide open and a generous credit budget. Beyond the credit system, here are the specific technical limitations that will affect anyone building longer content: * Long videos. Word count drives pacing regardless of any instruction you give it. Tell it to slow down all you want — it will not listen. * Golpo is brutally literal. Section dividers, brackets, dashes — it will read every single one out loud. Your script must be completely clean before you upload. * Pausing for workbook exercises is not possible. It ignores pause commands entirely. The only workaround is ellipsis plus a space, which creates a very slight pause at best. * The sketching engine runs out of steam on conceptually dense content. I had entire frames go blank mid-video on a 6-minute lesson. **What problems is Golpo solving and how is that benefiting you?** The traditional barrier to video course creation is showing up on camera. For most subject matter experts, that means hair, makeup, lighting, recording setup, multiple takes, video editing software, and the psychological weight of seeing yourself on screen.
