What do you like best about Golioth?

Golioth offers valuable functionality which enables developers to prototype solutions quickly from a number of IoT platforms. This saves a lot of time with proof-of-concept initiatives.

Also, their support is stellar. Their engineers engage fully to help you over the learning curves. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Golioth?

There is a learning curve but the services are so useful that it is well worth the effort. However, they provide lots of video and web-based documentation. Keeping this documentation updated and easy to access is key. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Golioth?

Golioth was built right, and I could see that from day 1. being hardware agnostic allowed us to transition our legacy and new devices easily; providing OTA, Configuration and Data streams out of the box is amazing. The team behind Golioth have been exceptionally helpful. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Golioth?

The UI is very intuitive: enough slick for what you need to interact with your devices, but no extra. Given that we were trialling Golioth among others, we only flashed the basics example, played around quickly with that, and confirmed the OTA behaviour.

We did not get to try out the HTTP API, but it looked good from the reference docs. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Golioth?

We were using the ESP-IDF SDK and it took some time to find out that it does not support V5.x. It is mentioned in the docs (we missed it on the first read) but the runtime errors were non-existent, and the resulting behaviour was that the platform just didn't do what it's advertised (in our case, OTA was failing with obscure reasons).

The log messages are hard to read on the UI, but I guess a final solution would be to have them sent elsewhere for aggregating (elastic search, etc), so this is not a biggie. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Golioth?

Upsides, lets me concentrate on my application code without the hassle of the roundtrip details. They also allow for the use of generally available boards and hardware, so easier to use in a prototyping context. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Golioth?

Well, they are a bit slow with regards to communication. I have been unable to get an invite to one of their workshops, which would be awesome as it helps us work faster. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
